I purchased the Living Social deal for mattress cleaning, as my mattress is a few years old and had endured a few puppy potty training incidents (which I had attempted to clean but didn't feel that great about!) Even though our guest room mattress is practically new, I figured I would ask about getting that one done as well. Robert was very friendly on the phone, and gave me a deal on the 2nd mattress, since he would already be out at the house. Robert and Angela arrived at my house a bit before our 10am appointment, and I wasn't quite home yet. However, they didn't seem a bit annoyed when I arrived at 10:00...that was appreciated, since I already felt bad for making them wait! They went over the process with me before starting, and were very conscientious and polite :-) When they were finished cleaning, Robert showed me the used cleaning solution, which had obviously gotten quite a bit of yuckiness out of the mattress! I have never seen a better carpet cleaning job at my home than the one Robert did for me this afternoon. What comes to mind after a carpet cleaning company cleans my carpets is 1) how wet my carpets will be once they are done 2) how long will it take into the next day for my carpets to dry and 3) How soon will the carpet cleaner leave my house so I can get on with what I have to do that day. Robert advised that my carpets would be dry in 1 - 3 hours once he's done. However, they already felt dry once he completed the job compared to previous work that was done by other companies. He was in and out in approximately 1 hour which is great! And by the time I return home from doing errands my carpets will probably be completely dry! Robert and Angela came out the day before Thanksgiving and cleaned my carpets. I had very old stains from before moving in, and I had my carpets cleaned prior but almost all the stains came back right after it dried. When Robert and Angela were done and it was fully dried I still don't see my bad stains. They had come out mostly. He was very honest when he told me they may not all come out and there are a few darker areas in my carpet but they showed before he left and they were really old stains. but they don't look like spots they just look like a worn area of my carpet. We were moving and needed the carpets cleaned cause they were really bad in the kids rooms. If the carpets didn't look decent the landlord would have not gave us back our deposit. I called and book carpet cleaning services with Rob for July 25, 2014, at noon. He called me about two hours early and said he was available to start earlier, and we agreed to an 11:30 a.m. start. He arrived promptly at 11:30 a.m. We walked around the house, discussed everything that needed to be done THEN . . . Rob walked out to his car (to presumably get his equipment) and LEFT!!!! Robert went out of his way to explain everything to me and also gave me extra cleaning solution to help clean my high traffic areas with my cleaner. I emailed Robert and he promptly returned my email. I spoke with him and he took the time to listen to how my dryer was/was not working and gave some examples of what could/could not be wrong. I was pleased that he was able to come clean out my dryer vent the next day. He was very thorough and wanted to make sure I understood the process. He showed me the empty shop vac before he started, took phone pics from on top of the roof to show that the brush made it all the way to the top and then showed me how much was taken in by the shop vac. Although he said it didn't seem like much, I thought it was quite a bit--he said he had seen worse and showed me some additional pictures of other dryer vents with issues. Couldn't be happier! Let's just say we went on a week-long vacation and our cat decided to use our bed as his own personal toilet! All I could think is now our 2-year old $2000 queen size pillow top mattress is now trash. Then I heard you could deodorize and clean mattresses. I was a little skeptical but I thought I'd give it a shot for $59! I am so glad I did. Robert and his assistant were extremely professional, prompt, friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. It took a bit longer than expected for the mattress to dry (12 hours or so). I waited in anticipation and to my surprise...it was like a brand new mattress! Not a happy camper here. I purchased a LivingSocials voucher and called near the expiration date to see if he would be willing to extend the expiration date. He agreed to extend the date, but I when I called back a month later to schedule the cleaning, he refused to honor the voucher or our verbal agreement. Had he not initially agreed to extend the voucher I would have gone ahead and used the services before moving out of my apartment. As it is now, I get ZERO services for what I paid, not even a 50% off coupon for future services. Nothing! I am SO happy with the results! I found a living social deal for a mattress cleaning for $40 (one mattress any size) which was perfect since I just bought a daybed that included both mattresses. Only problem with the mattresses: though the mattresses were relatively unused from a guest room, they had 3 large dogs. No pet stains or anything like that, but they just had a "dog odor." I tried Febreeze for furniture and found out that I was allergic to that and it didn't get rid of the smell. So, now the guest room smelled like dog AND Febreeze...and my eyes now watered and nose ran every time I went in the room! Total bummer! Anyhow, I bought the living social deal, called Presidential Cleaning Force and spoke with Robert on a Monday. I scheduled for the cleaning the upcoming Friday morning. I discussed with Robert my allergy issues with so many deodorizers and he told me which products they use to actually help with my allergies...and the odor of dog in the mattresses. I figure if this didn't work, I would just buy new mattresses. Robert called to confirm my appointment the day prior, also gave me a call the morning of the appointment to let me know the specific time he was coming. Oh, he also gave me a 1 hour window which was very nice. Robert and Angela showed up at my house 10 minutes early. He wanted to inspect the mattresses prior to bringing in the equipment. After that, he showed me the chemicals used and let me smell them before putting them on the mattresses. He and Angela got right to work and spent over an hour using their UV sterilization, specialized spray that kills dust mites and allergens, and then used a super steamer with suction. I asked him to quote me on the carpet cleaning service which was EXTREMELY reasonable. He charged me for just one additional mattress since he said the twins were just small. They were super nice, worked efficiently, and didn't try to sell any of their other services. Just had it done this morning and I have gone into the guest room many times to just put my nose in the mattresses, smell....and there is actually no smell at all! I am just so beyond happy (and surprised that the dog smell is all gone) with the results. I've always wanted to get my mattresses cleaned and have actually looked for someone that does it. I found the add on Craigs List, checked Yelp and found the previous review, and set up the appointment. They were very prompt. When they called to confirm the appointment, they indicated that they could be there earlier and they were. They were friendly and polite, and as far as I could tell, did a thorough job of cleaning the vent. He did seem a little puzzled as to how much material he pulled from the vent. I was suprised, too, since my dryer was taking at least 3 times as long as it should to dry a load. I felt there should have been more. Adds from other companies indicated that they clean the dryer as well, but I'm not sure how deep into the machine they would go. After he left, I took the dryer apart and found quite a bit of lint inside the dryer, including some in the vicinity of the heating element that was scorched. I found a rather large mass of tightly packed lint and fabric fragments immediately below the lint trap that turned out to be the biggest issue that I had. So, while it's important to clean the vent, a clogged dryer can still burn your house down. read more
