I'm still not too sure how I feel about this place, but I know it wasn't a bad experience. The employees were pleasant & the menus were simple enough to read and understand how to order as a first timer. You either get a coffee, a frozen treat or a cold juice? Being that I wasn't sure which juice to get' I was happy that they offered some taste samples. I have bad vision so I was having trouble reading the menu above & the employee offered a printed one to me. Woohoo! She was pleasant & took her time with me all the while making sure to address the others in line behind me. I chose my flavor (strawberry apple lime) but it's not something I see myself going back for. Please do not get me wrong...I'm sure it's worth it to those who really enjoy this stuff, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. One thing I think they should think about doing if rennovating is a possibility is having their fridge on the outside of their counter. I'm sure they have it behind for good reason, but it's a small space that they have & everyone has to stand in the same line for whatever it is that they want when the bottled drinks can help to eliminate some wait time if it was moved. A coworker of mine convinced me to try a juice cleanse. The first time I did a one day cleanse. I was so scared I would be a hangry monster by lunch time but surprisingly it kept me full, especially the vanilla and chocolate almond ones. What I love is that they are so nice there and they let you sample without making you feel bad. I normally only do the cleanses if they are having a promotion as I am on a budget lol. Last month, they had a 6 for $35 promo and now they have a 3 for $17 promo going on until 10/2. Also love that they have a reward program which offers a free juice or freeze once you have accumulated 75 points (I think) and a free drink during your birthday month. My favorite drinks are chocolate almond, vanilla coffee, greens 1, greens 2, and citrus 1. Tried a freeze for the first time today and it was delish. I'll start off by saying these juices leave you feeling amazing especially when used as a two day cleanse, which is what I've done a few times. I also love that you can customize your cleanse as a few of the flavors in the bundles can be a bit rough to get down (IMO). On top of that, they offer delivery, anytime I don't need to drive into town I'll take it. All that aside, this review is really in regards to an employee named Journey. I just encountered a weird/stressful situation with an order where the delivering party messed up but Journey took care of my order start to finish. Spent $13.50 for two cold pressed coffee's - one with vanilla bean and one "vanilla coffee". Cam took a sip, made a face and I thought he was over exaggerating about the flavor so he wouldn't have to share but I tried it right after and I tasted like sour coffee with grainy bits inside. The vanilla coffee was just as sour. Tried their soft serve which was great for me becauseI can't eat dairy and it's an exceptional alternative but I still can't get over how gross their coffee was. Great customer service! I walked in was greeted promptly. They offered samples which I had tried most of them. When it comes to cold pressed juice I look for the ones that isn't too sweet but trying some other flavors out was amazing. Although I cant call myself an avid juice drinker, I can say that I have tried pressed juices from various places and I will say this is the cleanest and most delicious juices that I have tried. I tried two green juice, one special juice that contains matcha, one fruit juices and one root juice and they all were VERY delicious, but not in an unhealthy way and every juice made me feel refreshed! The container was very clean as well as the store, and I loved the fact that they let us try the juices so I could get the juices I want! I also tried the vitamin shots, which are like the super condensed version of juices which were honestly really bitter but I knew that it was good for my body so I didn't mind. Although the locations kind of nowhere, but now that there are new foodland nearby, I will definitely stop by often! Visited Pressed Juicery in search of a 3-day cleanse. There was an online sale for $99 that he store didn't honor, which was kind of a bummer. I ended up buying the cleanse anyway! I parked on the 1st floor near Nordstrom and JTB, I believe it is. It's close to Foodland Farms. Nina was very friendly and extremely helpful. She let me have some samples of juices that came in the cleanse. She also let me sample some drinks that most people find harsh, just to make sure I was okay with it, otherwise I could swap the drink for one that I liked. The cleanse itself wasn't for me. My body didn't react well to it, giving me a migraine and making me feel weak. By the 3rd day, I felt a little better, but I was glad it was almost over! This is where I learned that cleansing is good, but the way you cleanse is just as important as cleansing. Find something that works for you. Will I be back? Most definitely! My friend had a tax exemption card as she works for the government and when it was time to pay, the guy who was helping us/rushing us due to long lines asked for the manager to help as he did not know how to process tax exemption on the bill. This place is simple and cute. It was kind of in a random place in Ala Moana, it's right next to JTB on the ground level. When I came in the lady was so friendly. I got the vanilla freeze with toppings on it and it was pretty good. However, it was a little pricey for the soft serve, but tasted healthy. I didn't know that it was vegan, which I guess I should've read the board. As a result it was a little gritty, but other then that it was pretty good. This update is regarding the COSTCO GIFT CARDS. I have very mixed feeling about the Costco gift cards and just wanted to warn everyone before you decide to buy them. Costco has a great deal of $80 for $100 worth at Pressed Juicery (select locations)...or so I thought. When I tried to use them the first time, there was some promotions going on so I decided to get one of the promotional bundles and when I was about to pay with gift cards, they told me they cannot use the black Costco gift cards on promotions as those gift cards are already discounted (apparently there are white gift that can be used like cash- as most gift cards should be). So I asked her can I buy the juices individually so I can use my gift cards and she said that at that time, ALL of their juices were on a promotion so I wouldn't be able to use the gift cards on anything. I even offered to pay full price for the juices without the discount but they still were not able to do that. UGH. So I asked her, well then how do I use these gift cards at all? She said I had to come back when they don't have any promotions. SO INCONVENIENT. I wouldn't mind as much if I lived in the area and it was convenient to just check frequently, however, living on the West side makes it difficult as I make special trips and bring a cooler bag to prepare for the long drive home with my juices. In the end, I just ended up paying cash and saving the gift cards. So come to our next visit - having a plan now, I checked their website to make sure they didn't have any promotions going on and did not see any. So sent my bf to take a chance and go down to the store once again in attempt to get rid of these gift cards. I told him to get the 5 juices for $35 that is printed on their menu and I know is always in effect so not a "promotion". Now after coming home, my bf explains to me that apparently you cannot use them on bundles either and when he asked if he could buy the juices separately, the cashier told him he wasn't sure and that his manager wasn't there to ask. WAIT WHAT? So now my bf being frustrated as well, he just ended up paying cash. I then yelled at my bf upon hearing that because I told him that he shouldn't have bought the juices cause all I want to do is get rid of these so called gift cards!!! UGHHH. I still love this place and will continue to support them but I'm just super disappointed with the Costco gift cards....Yes, I understand I saved $20 off of $100 but I feel that Gift Cards are like cash and shouldn't have so many restrictions and inconveniences- now they're more of a burden instead of a deal. That's what the sales staff gave for their explanation for their cleanses marked up from $30 per day on the mainland to $49.50 here. My mom and I just love it here! We usually do their cleanses to reset our metabolism. The creamy ones are all good but probably the most unhealthiest lol. The "any 3 items for $17" special that's happening right now is amazing and I have been to Pressed more than 3 times this week alone, haha. My picky eater sons love the Freeze's and I love that they are non-dairy and actually good for them!!! Before having my first son I juiced almost every morning using produce from the local farmers market. I would make green juices using kale, lemon, ginger, pineapple, turmeric, chard, or juice with beets, apples, and celery; the combinations are endless!! But after having my second son it's been hard to find time to always go to the farmers market and to make fresh juice every morning. The reason I say this is that I do know what fresh cold-pressed juice should taste like, having made it so many times myself, and Pressed juices are always very much similar tasting to the ones I make myself, which is how I know they're good quality, "real" and non-pasteurized, etc etc. I am a little disappointed that these juices are not made here in Hawaii but are actually shipped over from the mainland. Unless this has changed since the time I asked the store worker where the juice was made when they first opened. I hope eventually they will support local farmers and make the juice here with local produce wherever possible. The other thing I am disappointed in is that they use plastic bottles for their juice, maybe this contributes to the cost being lower ($7.50 for a 16 oz bottle of juice whereas other places cost $9.00 for a 12 oz juice in a glass bottle). Just gotta make sure to recycle. The chocolate freeze with strawberries, raspberries and cacao drizzle and cacao chips is a delicious combination. The activated charcoal lemonade is great and their chocolate almond milk is super creamy and delicious. The roots juices are really nutrient dense and good for you. As well as the greens juices. Basically everything on the menu is healthy and really good for you. So despite the couple things I wish were different this place is a definite five stars!!!! read more
