Unfortunately I had to put my cat Heiko down - my little pink darth vader. He simply was not getting better. Hard decision. I called up Prestige and asked for a time for putting him to sleep. At first they were trying to find a normal slot but what I wanted to do was come in first thing in the morning and do the deed. I didnt want to dwell on it all day. So I was kind of annoyed of trying to find a slot. They they asked to put ne on hold and came back and said I could come in any day any time. Awesome. So I brought him in and all the staff was very nice to him and me. I had him cremated so I could spread his ashes in places he loved to be (he was an inside cat but loved going out occasionally and eating grass). And boy that package they get to you is nice. A little too nice for what I wanted. Also a week later the entire staff signed a card with their condolences. Of course they didn't know him personally (or maybe they did since I was bringing him in frequently there near the end)... but it was a super awesome gesture. read more

This is by far the best veterinary office I've been too. Even with COVID-19 Dr. Carter made me feel like my new rescue dog was in the best hands ever. He comes out to your vehicle to make sure you're updated and went over all of the treatment with me and that I didn't have any other questions. I never felt rushed or like he did not have time to make sure I fully understood the next steps and the way he talked about my little dog made my heart happy as even though I could not be with her, he took the time needed so she felt comfortable as she is very timid. I left feeling like I just talked to a friend of the family. I will be taking Both of my dogs here going forward. From the moment I arrived the staff was friendly and welcoming. We took our Lab in yesterday and everyone was great. Their prices were better than we were used to at our previous vet. Dr. Dawn quickly discovered our dogs issues (as opposed to the other vet who saw our Lab a week earlier) and unfortunately the diagnosis was terminal. Unfortunately our sweet dog took a quick turn for the worse and the clinic stayed open late so we could be with her while she passed on to doggie heaven . Dr. Dawn was especially compassionate and caring in respect to the cares, feelings, and wishes of the family. I usually don't leave reviews for places, but I felt the need to as I don't wish what happened to our pet on anyone. I waited awhile to leave this review as to try to keep heightened emotions out of it. My dog started going to Prestige as a puppy. We actually were very thrilled with this place for a very long time and even had the puppy plan to save costs. Even though there were a handful of vets during his first year, we were pleased with them all at first. Then we started noticing a trend where we never really saw the same vet because they were always leaving. Fast forward, my puppy turns 1 and now it is time for us to schedule his neuter. We waited until a year old because he is a golden retriever and the vet had told us that recent studies showed that it's more beneficial to wait until at least a year to get neutered in breeds like his. We took our dog in for a very routine neuter surgery and it very easily almost turned into us having to say goodbye to our dog had I not been persistent. After leaving the surgery, I noticed my dog still had his scrotum (not once did they tell me it was an option plus an additional change to remove this). Post surgery, it looked AWFUL. My dog was obviously on meds from the surgery, but once those wore off I still noticed that he was acting incredibly lethargic and very different from him normal self. He didn't want to eat, go to the bathroom, move, anything. We texted our vet photos daily, showing the progression of it getting worse & his behavior seeming more & more off. We were told it seemed normal & to keep monitoring it. Come Sunday evening, it had started looking infected. We were at the vet Monday morning before they even opened, waiting at the door to show them our concern. The vet looked at it & said it was infected & that she was giving him antibiotics, but that she thinks we need to double cone him with the e-collar & inflatable cone because she thought he was licking it... I WFH & have been with him 99% of the day & I know for a fact he was not licking it. He hadn't even been moving! I tried the antibiotics for a day, then the next morning he was dropping blood everywhere. I took him in immediately, where they FINALLY told me the skin was necrotic and we had to move fast before it went into his bloodstream & that he needed immediate surgery, which ended up costing me another $700. This is OVER A WEEK after his initial surgery. Had they just listened to me, this would've been handled day one. They took my dog in for surgery, which I really didn't want them touching him again, but it was too urgent to not have surgery immediately so I was left with no choice. Even after all of this, our original vet refused to see us. She had her substitute vet come talk to me while she hid in the back. I was upset with the additional charges as I had known there was an initial issue to begin with & we would've surpassed the need for antibiotics & additional meds plus another surgery had they heard me. The manager came in to speak with me saying I can do a payment play but that they had to charge that. She was extremely insensitive and said she "totally gets how goldens are - they are very hyper so this was bound to happen..." MY DOG DID NOT DO THIS TO HIMSELF. He literally did not move post-surgery, our entire house was deep cleaned, we monitored the site & followed all of the steps needed. My assumption is that the tools were not properly cleaned, because I don't understand how else my dog's surgery site became necrotic. After picking him up from surgery, I have never once stepped foot in this place again. I immediately switched him to Copper Mountain Animal Hospital, where we now take our first dog & our new puppy. This place would never ever make me feel the way I did at Prestige. No one should ever have to sit in the parking lot of their vet praying that their 1 year old dog lives because the vet was dismissive and insensitive. My full opinion on this place, they need new management and a stable vet who knows what they are doing, otherwise good luck. If you care about your pets, avoid this place at all costs. read more

I would love to write Paige, the worst manager in history- one who shouldn't work with animals because of her black heart. To Paige- FUCK YOU! My husband and I came to you in tears over what happened to our dog when she was in YOUR care. Your vet (dr stone) neglected my sweet girl and made her worse. We came to you in tears. You rudely stated that you don't owe us an apology. You rudely dismissed anything we said. You rudely, cold heartedly, terminated us from your shitty clinic because we were upset. Instead of making it right, taking accountability, or even offer a solution, you terminated us. Fuck you. You and the staff here don't care about animals, you care about yourself and the image of the clinic, and sadly, you only care about money. So again, fuck you Paige. I pray people read this before they trust you with their animals. Karma will come knocking on your door sooner or later, honey. Hope you're ready. So, I have previously left a 5 star for this clinic. However, I have easily changed my mind due to circumstances I wish never happened. Dr. Stone will no longer go anywhere near my dogs. He was so concerned about me not having a mask (even though he's vaccinated AND had a mask on .. therefore he's fully protected) that he neglected my dog. Due to his negligence, my poor baby is now in MORE pain and the problem area (that dr stone ignored) has not only spread, but gotten worse. He did not examine her at all besides lifting her tail and saying "she has an infection." again, he Ignored the many times I asked or mentioned her belly. He had no problem charging us hundreds of dollars with zero explanations, zero examinations, zero reasonings on what could be causing it and the big thing that has me fuming- because of the negligence, she is in worse condition than before our visit and more wounds that were nonexistent BEFORE the "medications" he prescribed. Y'all, be careful. Hoping that when we get Dr. Carter back, that we will get answers. Unfortunately for us, other vets aren't taking new clients. I have reached out and have yet to hear back from Paige, the manager. They refuse to give any HR information to escalate this higher and the staff were pretty unresponsive and didn't offer any help or solutions. I see it's just about the money at this location and that truly saddens me. Our animals deserve the absolute best. ----------------------------- UPDATE: Paige, the manager has called us back. It is very upsetting in todays time that businesses terminate clients/customers/patients when calmly expressing our concerns/ frustrations instead of trying to make it right or taking accountability. There's no work or business ethics anymore. After explaining everything that happened to our poor baby, her answer was to terminate us. However, we will not be at this point. She then asked if there was anything she can do for us and I said no, but I find it upsetting nobody asked how they can make it right or apologize for what had happened or for why we're so upset. She responded "we don't need to apologize, we did nothing wrong" For the sake of my baby and her new apt with Dr. Carter, I'm going to let this go for now. Update: changed from 5 to 1 star. We had a great experience until recent marketing from Prestige encouraged us to purchase preventative flea & tick and heart guard chews. A lady from Prestige called to inform me that our order was cancelled because 1 was a prescription that our pup could only have for 2 months (the heart-worm test was due in 2 months). Even though the other was over-the-counter, this product was also cancelled. This means, we lost out on the complete bulk discounted order with an additional 30% discount, which we mentioned ended yesterday (upon researching emails, the sale actually ends today and she didn't mention it was still valid so I could simply re-order). She then kept repeating the same thing over and over about the prescription, which came across very condescending, as if I was incompetent (it honestly wasn't hard to grasp after the first explanation). Frustrated about losing our discount and having to go through a bunch more hoops to provide preventative care to our fur baby for fleas, ticks and heart worm; when I mentioned this frustration and how we may want to look around at alternate places, the response was that she could get our transcripts ready for us. This matter could have been easily recovered with excellent customer service who knew the promo and had tools available, so it's such a shame to see this level of service provided. We've spent a lot of money on initial care with them and the doctors and their assistants have been great thus far. There was one visit we had to wait 45 minutes before being seen, but we even blew that off as things happen; however, the way this phone call was managed, the lack of solutions offered and the condescending manner in which she approached the call is now the main experience we have to draw on. It's such a shame that office staff has made us want to change vets now. read more

Rescued an older cat that suffers from arthritis and still didn't have a vet for her. So when she was showing signs of distress, I was nervous and very scared I was going to lose her. Did an online search and Dr Kimber was done the street from me and available for a same day appt. Dr Kimber immediately recognized that I was very emotional and worried, she took her time and answered all my questions fully and really gave my Baby K a lot of attention. She was very optimistic about getting her back on track and gave me a pricing sheet with suggested tests and treatment. By far the best experience I have ever had with taking my dogs to the vet. All of their staff is friendly, kind and super patient. Their vet techs are incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions prior my dog's surgery. Dr. Carter did a great job of removing two tumors from my dog Otis. He answered all of my questions before the surgery and never made me feel like he was in a hurry to get to the next appointment like other vets do. I highly recommend this vet clinic. I have had horrible experiences at other clinics. I will never go anywhere else. read more

My last visit will prevent me from going back. The clinic is very nice and the employees are usually super helpful and good at their jobs. However... We took my 6 year old dog in for a nail trimming. The employee there indicated that my pup is very strong (70 lbs bulldog/pit mix) and they had a hard time holding him down to trim his nails. They did complete the task and when we got home, I noticed my dog limping. It got worse throughout the night and in the morning I called to see if they remembered anything during the visit that would have seriously injured his leg. They tech responded with 'yes I remember him and we had to physically lay him down and restrain him. He also pooped while we were in the middle of it so he was really scared'. Now I ask you, if the animal was so scared would you just tell the owner that this is not the best way to trim the nails and stop the service? They did have a conversation with me to consider sedating him next time but that does not really help me and my dogs leg with this time. They prescribed 5 days (10 x 75mg pills) of Rimadyl to help the injury that happened at the clinic and tried to charge me $41. Taking the script to Costco, I got the meds for $14. He gets his nails cut at Petco/PetSmart and doesn't usually have an issue. They simply secure his leash to the table above his head so he cannot lay down or pull away, bend each paw back and clip away. read more

We took our trembling, super shy and scared new rescue dog (a 4 year old chug) to them to be microchipped and and for a shot and they were really great with him. I called and we got an appointment relatively quickly. The vet tech and Dr. Hannah were both super nice and took their time with us though the office was quite busy and it was our first visit. The dog came out of the house experience unexpectedly with a better attitude- he is a little less shy of his family now- not sure how that happened but I guess he must have been handled pretty well by them, they did quickly figure out that he needs to be baby-talked to so I was very impressed with that (it took them only minutes to figure that out). Nice that it's located by Venezia pizza too. Very pleasant and clean facility, the lobby has a high ceiling. Front desk people were nice too. Definitely highly recommend. read more

I went to this vet in 2022 because it's close to my house and seems to have decent reviews. After my experience I will NEVER go back! They are in it for the money and ONLY THE MONEY. I went in for some routine shots for my 2 small dogs and ended up paying several hundred dollars. I was fine with this at the time because they needed updated shots, however I didn't realize that I would be hounded about shots they didn't need ever since. In 2023 and now in 2024 I am getting emails that they need a full round of shots again! Already! They were given a 3 year rabies shot in 2022, why would they need this updated every single year if it's a 3 year shot? The answer is they don't! It is not needed. They were prescribed heard guard and I have administered it every month as instructed but every time I need a refill the vet refuses to refill the prescription until we bring the dogs back in for a heart worm test. I'm not new to having dogs and I've had other vets confirm that if they are on heart-guard they don't need a heart worm test for every refill. I asked the front desk person why this is their policy and he told me "we have to make sure the medicine is working." This is just absurd. I also asked for a quote to get one dog's teeth cleaned and they quoted nearly $3,000! I ended up driving to another vet that I trust and they did a full teeth cleaning for $700 with extractions. One of my dogs also has a fear of nail trimmings so I asked what that would cost and I was informed they are a no fear clinic, which is fine, but they said if the dogs shows any fear they will just stop and I'll have to book another appointment to get it done another time. How does that solve the issue? It doesn't! It just means I pay for multiple appointments where they get nothing done. They said after several tries they would be willing to put my dog under so they can trim his nails....so now on top of paying $3k for clean teeth I need to pay for anesthesia every time my dogs nails get trimmed which is every few weeks! They will just do anything to charge you more money, it's very obvious. They aren't even subtle about it. Go literally anywhere else and you'll get better prices and better service where they actually care about animals and not dollar signs. read more

So sad our favorite vet is now impossible to get into. You would think with having 3 vets on staff you could get in and it's never the case. Over a 3 week period had to go to the emergency vet 2x with a sick dog who could never get an appointment. I have taken my dogs here for ever and loved the vets and staff. My dog suddenly became very sick on a Wednesday ,morning and I knew that the office opens at 7:30am. We got there early and waited. The receptionist opened the doors on time and I struggled to get my 100lb dog into the building. My dog collapsed on the floor barely breathing and she tells me that the vet will not be in for another 30 min!!!!! Why would you open a veterinary clinic without a vet present!? I had to have someone help me get her back into the car and by this time my dogs tongue was blue. We got to emergency and she died less then an hour later. The doctors here actually "LISTEN" and "EXPLAIN" just about everything so that you understand what's going on with your pet. Dr. Alber and staff are just great. The office is clean and staff is knowledgeable. He replaced our cocker's knees (yes you read that right) and actually made it affordable. And when we had to put that cocker down several years later - the staff was compassionate and caring. Both vets make the time to talk with you and clearly answer any questions you have.
