Thief walked in here carting off several sandwiches into his tote bag on October 17, 2025. Security here is virtually non-existent.

I sat in Pret A Manger eating my egg salad w/lettuce sandwich slice and astounded at the lazy, preoccupied security guard facing the outside while a woman with dog walked in, and a thief was filling up his tote with sandwiches and walking out past the inefficient security guard. I doubt you will see me here again although I've lived nearby for 80 years.

So the only reason for not giving 1 star is because the espresso was alright, but from the moment we walked in the door the service was terrible. We walked in and toward the register to order when an associate behind the counter blurts out, "we don't have hot chocolate." Yes, we had 2 kids in tow, but that doesn't mean you need to yell out random stuffm. I quickly shook them off and jokingly said, "are you profiling me? I'm looking for espresso." I ordered and was served quickly. When I asked where the bathroom was the was I met with, "they're closed". The store didn't close for another 45 minutes! Nothing turns me off more than poor customer service. The espresso was good, but boy were they rude!

That's all powder in the bottom.

Listen, I've had some okay Pret coffees, and I've had quite a few bad ones. Today's was probably the worst coffee I've seen to date. First of all-- my iced coffee was warm to the touch. Slight chunks of ice floating at the top, a solid mass of inch-thick chocolate powder sitting at the bottom, and warm coffee/milk in the middle. For reference, it is supposed to be an iced mocha. Pleaseeee do something to mix the powder in at least.

I'm a full fledged coffee addict so it's no surprise that I fell for the unlimited coffee subscription deal here. For a monthly fee of $9.99 you can get unlimited brewed coffee and tea for 30 days, or $19.99 for unlimited espresso beverages. I did not have high expectations for their coffee but surprisingly, it's not bad at all! Their iced lattes and coffee drinks are actually better than other drinks I've tried from Starbucks and Dunkin'. I also appreciate that you can sub non-dairy milk in any drink free of charge. I've been coming here almost every morning to get my caffeine fix and the service is always very fast; I'm in and out in under 3 minutes. This is honestly a very decent spot to get a quick bite and cup of coffee if you're ever pressed for time or only have a quick lunch break at work. Of course their coffee isn't the best in the world but it definitely does the job. I'll at least be a regular until my subscription runs out!

Good option for a work lunch.

Ready-to-eat food options. I stopped by for a quick break from work. Never heard of Pret A Manger before so this was a complete random visit. Usually seeing pre-made sandwich triggers thoughts of 7-11 but this is quite different. Various sandwiches, baguettes, wraps, desserts, and much much more. I grabbed a Lebanese Chicken Flatbread ( Chicken mixed with Lebanese dip, red sauce made with roasted red peppers, sunflower seeds, tamarind, and lemon juice. Topped with fresh mint). For a wrap it was delicious and satisfying. Too bad I wasn't able to come back to try out some of their other sandwiches. I also ordered a coco pot and a ginger beer for good measure. Why not, right? This was a great option to bring back to an office or picnic. - They really stress freshness and sustainability. - Too bad they don't have one of these by my work in San Diego. - Not owned by McDonalds, not that it matters but some reviewers gave it a low rating because of that. - Ginger Beer could be stronger. - Will try this place again when I'm back in New York.

yummy cardboard grilled cheese sandwich with off-set bread for maximum taste.

This is in a ritzy part of town on 60th St between Madison Ave & Park Ave with Ferraris & Bentleys parked on the street, so you have to guess that the storefront rent must be astronomical. But oh, these gastronomical sandwiches are off the charts and can justify the price. Once you decipher the names of the sandwiches on the menu and see what's between the bread, you will want to try all of them. I settled on 2 finalists, but decided get both anyway. All sandwiches are made fresh with some of the best looking meats & ingredients I've ever seen! And what's better is that they bake all the focaccia for the sandwiches fresh and in-house. You see the bread oven right behind the register. I wonder if I could buy a slab of that bread? The L'Inferno brought images of Danté Alighieri's version of the Underworld to mind, but was a spicy hot masterpiece of sandwich art. The combination of thinly sliced roasted porchetta, nduja, spicy grilled eggplant & arugula was fantastic! The fresh baked focaccia took it even further. But I did learn something new today besides Italian pronunciation, which was that nduja (silent n) is a spicy sausage from Calabrese that's spreadable like butter. I gotta get me some of that stuff! The La Paradiso sounds like the third installment of Danté's Divine Comedy trilogy, but is a very mild, but tasty sandwich with mortadella, stracciatella & crushed pistachios in pistachio cream. The pistachio cream is a stroke of culinary genius and gives the sandwich an amazingly smooth texture & taste. The only part of the Divine Comedy missing from their menu is La Purgatorio and I do not want to find out what would go into that sandwich!

Be PREPARED this Sammie has some chili honey liquid /oil sauce they put on it and it's tasty but it's a lot. The staff are friendly - just focused on getting your order and getting it to you so you can enjoy. The wall is pretty interested they have made their own decor out of door panel fixtures.

But it turned out to be a fantastic meal and fully satisfied my endless craving for well-made soup dumplings. The scallion pancakes were excellent, too, crispy without being greasy and packed with scallions. I had seen a lot of reviews praising the General Tso's chicken, but I've honestly avoided the Chinese-American dish for years. Too often it's overly sweet with a heavy batter. Still, after seeing plate after plate come out to nearby tables, I decided to give it a try. What a surprise. It was a huge portion of fresh white meat chicken with a light coating and a perfectly balanced sauce, served piping hot. We couldn't finish it (knowing we had a big dinner later), but I kept going back for "just one more piece" more times than I'd like to admit. Reservations aren't accepted for parties of two, but in the late afternoon it wasn't busy at all, we walked right in with no wait. Would absolutely come back.

I have three big guys with me and sometimes quick lunches need to be more filling than fast food options, so we chose Alidoro's under Rockefeller Plaza. We could walk to it form the hotel and it was in the middle off all we wanted to show the boys on their first day (first time) in the city. We all chose different sandwiches and they were ready pretty fast. Since the shop itself is not huge, we landed a small space at the window bar with two stools and some standing room. After being in a car and on a flight and in another car all morning, we weren't mad about the standing part. We were all able to share and sample each sandwich, and honestly, we were not disappointed. We were all full and happy when we weren't finished, so what more could we want for a relatively quick NYC meal? Being under the plaza, the restrooms were outside the shop but very close by so we were able to wash hands and such before journeying out into the wild. I would definitely stop back by again on another trip! The guys and I all gave Alidoro's two thumbs up - so 8 thumbs total, if you're counting.
