Ive gone maybe a total of 6-8 times in the last year because i have seen horrible bird shops before and i wanted to kinda see how they are treated and what kind of environment the birds need. I was talking to one of the owners taller dude sweet and kind. He was informing me on what kind of environment the bird needs and giving me great deals! But the shorter dude u turned around and he was mocking me in Spanish thinking i didnt know any Spanish at all. Id go back eventually to get the bird i want, but im moving soon so i have to wait until then. I did not appreciate the disrespect behind my back whatsoever.

While I'm not suggesting that the staff were unfriendly, the overall vibe was lacking warmth. The animals were fun to observe, and that rooster was pretty cool. However, I wish the store offered better training for its employees. Given that I drove five hours to visit this location, I don't think I will be returning. I will be looking for another store to visit.

We talked about how I named my hamster and that it was because of the video game and as well as I play videogames. We went in a room, asked me questions about Sir Dukey and he weighed him. A few mins later, the Dr. came in and was super friendly and informative. As a first time hamster owner I wanted to get Sir Duke Nukem a check-up this morning for his appointment to see if he's doing good or any concerns I should be worried about. And it turns out, he was pretty good and healthy. They even offer boarding for your pets which I was interested in getting to know more about. As I plan to travel this summer for a whole week, I wanted to see what the best options would be. I am going to consider for him to get boarded. I do recommend this place to have your pets checked out. Staff were super friendly as well as the Dr. was very informative. They printed out a diet and hamster info for Sir Duke :)

After taking our boys to another exotic vet (Tucson) we are firmly committed to only coming here because of their exceptional vets, techs & front office. Our old boys (all 3 are over 5, 3 are almost 7) appreciate their gentle, yet incredibly thorough exams and their deep understanding of guinea pig health issues. The office is filled with gifts from pet parents who also appreciate their dedication to exotic animals. I'm trying to decide what we will bring to add to the loving gifts. Prices are very fair compared to our former vet office and they don't have the constant turnover other companies experience. Today our boy, Billy the Kid, received a very thorough exam that revealed that his head shakes were from a respiratory infection. He's feeling much better amd gives his wheeks of approval!

Really poor experience with my guinea pig who had some callous like keratin growths on the bottom…read moreof his paws. Thought it might be mild bumblefoot at first and took him here to get it checked out. They said it was bumblefoot/pododermatitis and that I needed to increase the cushion in the enclosure and frequency of cleaning. We did that and it didn't get better or worse so we emailed them which they told us to do if we have any questions, concerns or if it doesn't get better and after doing more research we suspected it wasn't bumblefoot and might be foot spurs. They took a week to reply to that email, and only after we had called them to see if they received the email. They brushed off the foot spurs issue and mentioned something about bone spurs which is entirely different and said that's not the issue. We let it go because it wasn't causing discomfort to Tom, but eventually recently we followed up again through email with pictures, and sources showing exactly what we thought was the issue, asking if they thought that could be it, or what we should do from here. Almost an entire month with no reply so we took him to another vet, and they immediately diagnosed him properly with foot spurs/keratin growths which is likely just a genetic predisposition that Tom has, and is not a cause for concern unless they grow and get out of control. I will say their staff and Dr.Fitzsimmons I believe his name was, were all very kind, but ultimately I warn against taking guinea pigs here. They may be excellent vets for other animals, I don't know so I don't want to harp on them too badly but it was frustrating that they spoke as if they were sure they know what is wrong but it ends up being a misdiagnosis. They also need to work on communication if they want patients to correspond by email.
