Great service and people working the take out window, but bang for your buck is lacking significantly (even though it's great this place is vegan). The fries amount were measly, or not enough (especially for $5). Now onto the $7 burger. It's wonderful that this place is vegan and has a great local vibe, but if I'm being perfectly honest the cheeseburger which I ordered for around $7 (so you're paying $12 plus tip, call it another $2 - so $14 in total) for a burger that is the equivalent of a high school baseball game $3 Costco-style burger... but with a black bean or vegan patty: Same white bread bun, same lack of sauce distributed unevenly, same two pre cut pickles from the freezer, same lack of fresh onions/tomatoes/lettuce/etc., and (vegan) American cheese Kraft-style squares. Both made you feel ripped off, but the fries were probably the biggest ripoff because they didn't even fill them to the brim of the smaller-than-desirable to go cup. We have easily become regulars here. Everything is vegetarian or can be made vegan and the prices are very doable. The coconut caramel coffee is really good and so are the lemonades. My favorite breakfast sandwich is the good morning deluxe, for lunch I like the pretty good cheeseburger. The coconut yogurt is super yummy too, sometimes I have to order that too for later. They also have really good soups & soft serve! The people working here are always really friendly as well. This gets 5 stars because I have 0 complaints. read more

I ordered Mike's Good Morning Sandwich (crispy potato, fried local egg, sweet pepper jam, PG aioli, avocado, and pepper jack cheese on a ciabatta type bread) ($7), the strawberry kale salad (quinoa, shaved fennel, lemon dressing) ($6), and sweet potato fries ($5). I was hungry. The sandwich was unbelievable. The bread was perfect. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. I wouldn't think to put potatoes in that breakfast sandwich but it just worked. The salad and the sweet potato fries were also amazing. My friend ordered the BBQ Pulled Jackfruit sandwich and also loved it. Can you tell that I like this place? The whole experience was great. They have a window outside you can walk up to to order and pay, then they call your name when the food is ready. There were benches out front where you can wait for your food and even sit and eat but they also have an adorable back patio with tables where you can sit and enjoy your yummy food. I will 100% be back here to try the "cheeseburger" (pea patty) and everything else on that menu. Such good quality food at an insanely affordable price. I'd say pretty bad advice unless you like to clog your arteries. The healthiest part of my sandwich was the Avocado, but I could barely taste it over the fried everything else. Mikes Deluxe had zero flavor and was absolutely uninteresting. But if you've got a thing for Mayonaise then I can see how you might like it. If you want a delightful, flavor filled breakfast , I would literally go anywhere else. I have no idea how this place gets such good reviews. read more

Had this place bookmarked to try but can't remember how I heard of it. Finally got to try it today. It was pretty chilly out and with no indoor seating I was pretty darn cold outside but I have to say it was still worth it, sitting out in the cold eating my Hot and Cheezy vegan burger, fries, and pomegranate lemonade. It was all fantastic! I was shivering by the time I finished but that didn't stop me from trying their oat milk soft serve ice cream. They recommended getting half chocolate half peanut butter. Delicious California Ranch "burger" and Mike's Good Morning Deluxe breakfast sandwich! We didn't even notice it was a veggie burger until a few bites in, the textures and flavors were so good. Breakfast sandwich was tasty also, with VERY soft ciabatta and delicious egg and avocado. Still, burger = better. To order in, go to the front of the restaurant near the parking lot. The menu is small but mighty, and they have cold drinks (including sparkling alcohol water, if that's your thing) available for purchase. Cups of water are free. The patio area is shaded and inviting, with plenty of room to social distance. Fries were only OK, I think they'd be better if they were crispier. Good for dipping in the California Ranch Burger sauce and the Good Morning sandwich sauce, too, which was both spicy and sweet. Happy to stumble on PGA during a trip to a local farm in Soquel. Long overdue review. Firstly, I'm a proud carnivore, and before moving to the area I was standoffish when my wife tried to entice me to eat here. Not only am I not vegan, I take some offense to what I recognize as vegan righteous indignation. Lets be honest... this part of California is not exactly a culinary wonderland. In January, against my better judgment I gave in and tried the Spicy Boy, one of their 'All Day Sandwiches'. It's basically a fried egg, hash brown patty, caramelized onion, jalapeño jam, and some other sauces on a toasted ciabatta. It was top five sandwiches I've ever had. The result is that I eat here four or five days every week. I've tried everything on the menu... from the selection of delicious burgers to the rest of the 'all days', to their seasonal rotating salads and soups and have never been disappointed. This is truly local, farm to table, gourmet deliciousness. I can't recommend this place any more than I can find anything in the area that even comes close. Thanks PGA. read more

Was so looking forward to this place as it advertised as vegetarian with vegan options. It has this but needs so much more! All burgers are vegan but no regular, only sweet potato fries and I liked them, my husband said meh. No vegan cheese. No black hot tea. The patties are good by the way. Outdoor seating is nice. Excellent vegetarian/vegan eatery! Food and drink are freshly made. We got the cheeseburger with a house made black bean/quinoa patty and all the fixings. So delish! Hubby wanted another one! Also got the Final Meltdown and the ciabatta was so soft and entire sandwich had the right amount of egg, hash browns, mushrooms and jalapeños...oh so good! House fries were crispy and delicious too!
