It's made a huge improvement in the health and appearance of my nails. I can wear sheer polish now. My nails don't get nasty discolorations. And Lila never files my living nail like many techs do. (Have you ever had a nail removed and seen all those half circle divets in your nail bed? It's killing your nails!) My nails aren't fake and chunky looking either. I frequently get compliments even though I don't do anything fancy--just simple polish. The salon is near St. Joseph Hospital in old St. Charles and has its own parking lot. So convenient. Its cozy environment is nice--a boutique spot, not 10 techs super busy and trying to fit in walk-ins. They have a scheduling app called Vagaro that I use for appointments. The only drawback you may have is paying a deposit for your appointment. But if you're the kind of person who keeps your appointments, then it will be worth it. In my experience (3 months so far) they've been on time and easy to work with. They just got in some gorgeous new fall colors and I tried a muted pink. But they have rich greens, blues, and browns, too. Maybe I'll go a little bolder next time--a deep blue-- or maybe I'll go back to a sheer. Who knows?

I called ahead to check to see if they could get my daughters and I in on a Saturday. They said "sure! Come on in!" When we got here the owner recognized us from my call and was so sweet and welcoming. My girls just wanted gel manicures, but I wanted a pedicure. They have several to choose from, and I went with the hydrate and moisture pedi. She sold me on it when she said it came with hot stone massage. After picking my color I sat in one of their amazing massage chairs. Loved all the settings. But of course the best was the amazing leg massage with the hot stones! Get it! The salon is very clean and relaxing. Charming decor. Overall cozy feel. (I can't stand loud noisy nail salons) The technician who did my pedicure was excellent. She was very detailed and made sure I was enjoying and relaxing. The location is easy to get into. Plenty of parking.

Gel is always the way to go if you want your nails to last long time. I get full sets done every 2-3 months. I have never broken a nail or a nail has never came off. I work as a corrections officer. In this line of work it's kinda usual to break nail here and there. But nope! They do great quality work. My nail polish has cracked maybe twice out of the 6 months I've came here. They put my feet in the water and I waited for 1 hour with my feet soaking. This was ridiculous and the failure to communicate is not acceptable. They know how long or should know how long the wait will be, then say something. The only reason I stayed is I was traveling the next day but if they would have communicated to come back in 1 hour instead of not saying anything left a very poor customer service experience. I could have easily came back 1 hour later. Since my feet were soaking I felt trapped and should have left after 30 minutes. I spoke to the manager and she apologized but I felt nothing would have changed. I will not go back. Advice is to communicate if wait will be an extended period, most people expect communication and will be patient if you are setting proper expectation. I cannot recommend this establishment.

The woman absentmindedly pointed me to a table of nail polish swatches where I could look at color choices. My nail technician (I think his name tag said "Ryan") got me and led me to a pedicure chair. He at first prepped for me to have a gel pedicure but I clarified that the gel was only for my fingernails. He then said I had to pick a different color for both my nails and toes -- i wanted to same color for both. He returned with new polish colors but I said that the color wasn't correct. He ARGUED that the colors he had were right and that I should trust him that it would be okay. Well, IT WASN'T. I wanted a soft coral, he applied a white-pink. It was to match my dress for a wedding. I'm unfortunately one of those people. Stopped in to visit I Heart Nails today for a way overdue pedi. Annie focused on all of my neglected issues and really helped take care of me. She's friendly, professional and just an absolute sweetheart! I'd strongly recommend this place to anyone I come in contact with. The business owner herself lets you know she has enough customers and you can leave. I did tell her I saw the yelp sticker and felt this was a safe place but was told abruptly that I should leave. I feel we should honor her request. She does not want us we should not go to this location. With the power YELP has invested with in me. I kindly issue no stars. And I ask kindly that we leave this shop owner in peace as she requested. Beware again a yelp sign is indeed in the window but we are not welcomed here.
