Nice wine selections by the glass

We had a really nice dinner at Prezza. Not your typical North End eatery, the dining room is spacious. We enjoyed friendly, efficient service along with delicious food. We dined on a Monday night, and were able to take advantage of their smaller plate offerings, perfect as we were traveling and did not want to have any leftovers to take home. The smaller sized portions (and price) were more than enough for us. If I see meatballs on the menu, I need to try. While they were tasty, I wished they were served a bit hotter, as our plate was just slightly warm. The cacio e pepe with truffles was delicious. Not the usual taste/presentation that I am used to, but delicious. It was a cold and wet evening so we decided to try dessert in house, even though we usually walk around to a cafe. Nice offerings, and we tried the assortment and were pleased. An all around nice dining experience from cocktails, bread service through dessert. Give them a try when in the North End.

There is something unique about strolling through the crowded streets of the North End, with so many strangers all eagerly awaiting a delicious meal...or stuffed and content after having just finished their meal. The vibe just seems to get everyone salivating with excitement. Prezza delivered and met our lofty expectations last night, as six of us enjoyed a lovely dinner. We were nearly drooling over our and each others entrees, and everyone enjoyed their respective dishes. The meat lover of the group, who ordered the Meatball, Sausage and Ribs, raved about the soft and flavorful meatballs and mix of meats with creamy polenta. And each bite of the rich gnocchi bolognese was a decadent treat, with hearty creamy mushroom flavor. On the lighter side, the seafood dishes were also fantastic, including the surprisingly filling fish stew. Though the flavors were mild, the variety of perfectly cooked fish was impressive, including 1/2 lobster, large chunks of swordfish, jumbo prawns, mussels, squid and clams. The wood fired charred bread was great with the broth...too much fish and not enough bread is a brilliant problem to have! I did manage to steal a bite of the tuna steak, which was also fantastic and looked beautiful over the fregola salad. Paul provided our table with great service, and we never felt rushed, so we enjoyed our relaxed dinner together and will return!

We came here and had a large group. They were able to accommodate us ahead of time with a reservation and we had a really nice table at the front of the restaurant which felt private. Service was very good and they kept checking in on us. We had a variety of different appetizers. My favorite one was the meatball. For entrée I had cacio de pepe, which was outstanding and one of my favorite things that I ate the whole trip that we were in Boston.

We had an amazing dinner here after a less than stellar experience at Neptunes a few blocks away. I'm so glad we came here instead. The sangria was very refreshing and had a great flavor whilst not being too heavy. The beet and burrata cold appetizer was incredible. They serve fresh bread with warm olives in oil and I will dream about that. We had the scallop entree and the mushrooms were almost the star of the show. The flavor was deep and buttery and the scallops were cooked to perfection. We also ordered the broccoli rabe and this was the only thing I wouldn't get again. It had a slightly bitter tang I wasn't a fan of. However the vegetables were cooked well. The tiramisu parfait was also a solid dessert choice. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable.

Stopped by to sit at the bar and had an espresso martini-- it was really good! This spot is perfect for cocktails and watching the game at the bar. I'll definitely be back for a full dinner, especially after hearing the lady next to me rave about their pasta!

I feel like you can't get bad Italian food in Boston north end. Just try to make reservations. Food was good. Our waiter was a little checked out, but service was okay. He didn't listen well to our drink order. We didn't need anything otherwise tho. A good viable option.

We LOVE Prezza. I've lived in the North End twice and have been to mostly every restaurant there. It is one of the best. Everything on the menu is great, you can't go wrong. This time I ordered the Black Truffle Tagliatelle special--to die for!

    Wood Grilled Squid and Octopus
    Rosemary S.

Enjoyed the food a lot but the overall experience was a bit of a mixed bag. First of all, both the squid and octopus and the tuna tartare were delicious. Overpriced but anywhere that has not fried squid in the US is great. Large portion of tuna tartare without. A bunch of filler or sauce added. Hot and dirty martini was not good. It was neither hot nor dirty. The decor was fine, pretty minimalist. Our waiter was good but all the staff asked 5-10 times to take our plates while we were still eating which makes you feel like I'd rushed. Overall enjoyed it but not wowed. Definitely cost more than it should have.

Delicious! Staff was very friendly and the service was quick. I had the painkiller and the chicken parm. They also had a delicious complimentary bread service.

There was a short wait since they bake the cheesecakes fresh in batches, but it moved pretty quickly. The Original Japanese Cheesecake was warm, soft, and definitely lived up to its signature "jiggle." It's very different from a traditional cheesecake--much lighter, fluffier, and less sweet, almost like a cross between a soufflé and a sponge cake. If you're expecting a rich New York-style cheesecake, this isn't that. Personally, I enjoyed how light it was, and it didn't leave me feeling overly full. The staff was friendly, and the shop was clean and well organized. My only suggestion would be to have a few more seating options since it's mostly grab-and-go. Overall, it's worth checking out if you're in downtown Boston or curious about Japanese-style cheesecake. I'd come back again and would like to try some of their other pastries next time.

I ordered an Ube cheesecake and repeated my order as it seemed there might have been some miscommunication. I was in a bit of a rush due to limited parking and unfortunately didn't check my bag before leaving. When I got home, I realized I had been given a different cheesecake than what I ordered. I decided to keep it rather than return, as going back to Chinatown wasn't convenient at the time. The cheesecake itself was also disappointing in texture and freshness--it felt quite soggy and not as fresh as expected. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations, and I don't think I would return.

Portuguese Egg Tart葡撻: The shop keeps the egg tarts in a warming box, which is very thoughtful. I've always preferred the cookie crust of old-fashioned Hongkongese egg tarts; they don't crumble or feel sticky in your throat. The custard filling looked a bit overbaked on the surface, but it was still smooth and creamy inside. The milk and egg flavors were qualified, and it was not too sweet. While not particularly amazing, it definitely deserved 4 stars, especially for a Cantonese person like me who hasn't had egg tarts in a long time. Hongkongese Egg Tart蛋撻: The crust is the same as the Portuguese egg tart, but the custard filling seems a bit more diluted, with a lighter milk flavor and a stronger egg flavor. People who aren't used to it might find it a bit eggy. I still prefer the former. Custard Bread奶黃包: Recommended by the owner, and it was definitely the best thing there! I ate it the next morning, but the bread was still soft, and the crust wasn't dry. The custard filling was generous, sweet, creamy, moist, and had a slightly grainy texture. Sausage Bread腸仔包: The seasoning was quite interesting, with a hint of wasabi (?). However, the sausage itself was just average, with a slightly starchy texture. Breads generally cost $2-4 each, and here four items were only $8+, enough to last me all day Important Reminder: Cash only for orders of $10 or less.

I am always surprised at how full I am when I leave! I'm stuffed every time. There is complementary miso soup with all of the bowls I've tried, outlined below. I really loved all of the bowls I've tried but my favorites are probably the Sake Aisuru Don and Kuromon Don. I just prefer more salmon to more tuna though, and they're all very good! Food: - Sake Aisuru Don: their classic all-salmon bowl! I loved the larger cuts of salmon, and I was pleasantly surprised that even the more pulverized salmon was flavorful! - Kuromon Don: loved the yellowtail in this! Each fish comes with two pieces (except the mackerel for which there are four), and I liked the sampler style for the salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and izumidai. - Maguro Toro Don: so much tuna! And all such high quality. The otoro was so fatty that it practically melted in my mouth without chewing. - Sake Maguro Hamachi Don: a mix of salmon, blue fin tuna, and yellowtail. I liked the yellowtail in this a lot and found that it stood out the most from the other two fish in this particular bowl!

The second time I went back, I ordered take out so I could eat it at the airport for dinner. I ordered the Sake Maguro Hamachi don, added ikura and negitoro. Again, so impressed with the quality of the fish and the size of it. They didn't skimp out and really enjoyed the thickness of the sashimi despite it only being 3 pieces.
