We had the Veal Chop and the Pork Chop (Specialty of the House). Both were outstanding. Had pasta on the side - also very good. Finished with Bread Pudding - from start to finish 5 stars. I was honestly, truly surprised with Prezza having egg yolk ravioli on the menu since I haven't found a place in Boston that serves it. To my delight, it cooked properly due to how delicate egg yolks can be. I had the lobster pasta. It tasted good. The lobster flavor was incorporated into the sauce. It didn't taste like it was slapped on there. The fish stew was fine, but it tasted like the seafood was frozen. The service was pretty regular and efficient, and the ambiance was something that stood out. It definitely seemed a lot more friendly and community-like compared to other restaurants. We had a really nice dinner at Prezza. Not your typical North End eatery, the dining room is spacious. We enjoyed friendly, efficient service along with delicious food. We dined on a Monday night, and were able to take advantage of their smaller plate offerings, perfect as we were traveling and did not want to have any leftovers to take home. The smaller sized portions (and price) were more than enough for us. If I see meatballs on the menu, I need to try. While they were tasty, I wished they were served a bit hotter, as our plate was just slightly warm. The cacio e pepe with truffles was delicious. Not the usual taste/presentation that I am used to, but delicious. It was a cold and wet evening so we decided to try dessert in house, even though we usually walk around to a cafe. Nice offerings, and we tried the assortment and were pleased. An all around nice dining experience from cocktails, bread service through dessert. Give them a try when in the North End. read more

There is something unique about strolling through the crowded streets of the North End, with so many strangers all eagerly awaiting a delicious meal...or stuffed and content after having just finished their meal. The vibe just seems to get everyone salivating with excitement. Prezza delivered and met our lofty expectations last night, as six of us enjoyed a lovely dinner. We were nearly drooling over our and each others entrees, and everyone enjoyed their respective dishes. The meat lover of the group, who ordered the Meatball, Sausage and Ribs, raved about the soft and flavorful meatballs and mix of meats with creamy polenta. And each bite of the rich gnocchi bolognese was a decadent treat, with hearty creamy mushroom flavor. On the lighter side, the seafood dishes were also fantastic, including the surprisingly filling fish stew. Though the flavors were mild, the variety of perfectly cooked fish was impressive, including 1/2 lobster, large chunks of swordfish, jumbo prawns, mussels, squid and clams. The wood fired charred bread was great with the broth...too much fish and not enough bread is a brilliant problem to have! I did manage to steal a bite of the tuna steak, which was also fantastic and looked beautiful over the fregola salad. The service here is exceptional, especially when it comes to accommodating large parties. The bartenders are truly cocktail craftsman and they have an excellent selection of wines. I'm not a huge fan of squirting pasta, but there's is one. You should definitely try. They work around everyone's dietary restrictions, which is great for my group. If you are in the north end, this place is a must. After a flop of the first restaurant we went too, we stumbled into this awesome joint and were kindly greeted and seated. We split an app and an entree and both were plated separately and brought out to us. The food was fantastic, the best Italian meal in the north end hands down. We had an amazing dinner here after a less than stellar experience at Neptunes a few blocks away. I'm so glad we came here instead. The sangria was very refreshing and had a great flavor whilst not being too heavy. The beet and burrata cold appetizer was incredible. They serve fresh bread with warm olives in oil and I will dream about that. We had the scallop entree and the mushrooms were almost the star of the show. The flavor was deep and buttery and the scallops were cooked to perfection. We also ordered the broccoli rabe and this was the only thing I wouldn't get again. It had a slightly bitter tang I wasn't a fan of. However the vegetables were cooked well. The tiramisu parfait was also a solid dessert choice. The ambiance is nice - dimly lit and it was packed. We are vegetarian and there were not a lot of veg options at the menu but our waiter said he could accommodate custom orders. We got a primavera rigatoni pasta with red sauce and a butternut squash ravioli. Both were INCREDIBLE. My primavera pasta was so tasty - the sauce was beautifully seasoned with tons of garlic. Overpriced but anywhere that has not fried squid in the US is great. Large portion of tuna tartare without. A bunch of filler or sauce added. Hot and dirty martini was not good. It was neither hot nor dirty. The decor was fine, pretty minimalist. Our waiter was good but all the staff asked 5-10 times to take our plates while we were still eating which makes you feel like I'd rushed. Overall enjoyed it but not wowed. Prezza is a place that feels very much like somewhere you don't find but someone recommends. Just one street off the congested north end path it feels a little hidden. You step inside to a very sleek restaurant with a wonderful collection of different artistic pieces. I'd made a reservation the day before but even being a Monday they were filled. Our server, Nicholas, had that very Bostonian charm and definitely gave me a few laughs throughout my meal. He recommended a riesling and chardonnay for me and my friend that we really enjoyed. We had complimentary ciabatta bread with vinegar filled with olives which was good. We also got this unique shrimp dish with beautiful plating and a great crunch texture from the toppings wrapped around it. My favorite dish was definitely the corn raviolini. It's funny because it's what my friend ordered and I had hesitated getting it because I was sure about it. Another guest in the restaurant even commented on how delicious the dish was as they had ordered it as. The menu doesn't just have pasta but also seafood and meat so there's something for everyone. My husband started with the mozzarella and prosciutto, simple but flawless, perfectly seasoned with just the right balsamic, salt, and pepper. My favorite time of year there is the fall when there's butternut squash and wild boar ragù on the menu. But any time of year is great too. The soft chunks of bread cane with and olive oil dip with actual green olives in it. I personally like butter. We live in California, but this is our number one go to place. We always bring people here, but are always return customers as well. The customer service is outstanding. Our reservation for seven was easily accommodated and a beautiful seat for our special reunion. All the employees were positive and happy. Paul, our server was over the top accommodating. Last night, went to Prezza for the first time. Was excited because I love its sister restaurants,Tonno Gloucester and Tonno Wakefield. Short walk from North Station and the Garden! Beautiful restaurant! The staff are superb! Polite and friendly and on point! We had the meatballs, tuna crudo, and crispy shrimp for appetizers. Fabulous! No pictures. We ate them too quickly. For dinner, we ordered crispy pork, tomahawk veal chop and tagliatelle Bolognese. So good! For desserts we had flourless chocolate cake and a special bread pudding in whiskey sauce! Outstanding food in this North End restaurant. Started with the meatballs and the grilled clams. Excellent on both counts, I especially enjoyed the clams which was a large order of grilled clams with sausage in a tomato ragu. Don't sleep on the meatballs either, they were also excellent with good garlic flavor and perfect texture! For my entree I had the scallops which were about as close to perfect as I've ever had. They were served with chopped cauliflower over a silky smooth cauliflower puree. My gf had the gemelli pasta cacio e pepe. She loved her meal but I was a little surprised to see prosciutto and mushroom in a cacio e pepe. Not to nitpick but that was not an authentic cacio. Her son had the gnocchi bolognese. That was a spectacular dish! For dessert he had the canolli and cookie dessert, he loved it. The restaurant is super busy and loud but to me it adds to the vibe. Extremely disappointing dining experience. We came here hoping for good food for a nice date night on a Saturday night. First of all, the service was horrific. We were sat at a table up against a wall in the corner of the restaurant with barely enough room to move your arms without hitting the other table. The waiter didn't even attempt to make any suggestions (except to say that the short rib is his favorite appetizer, after we had already ordered). He said the bread would be coming out and we had to ask him again for it after our appetizers already arrived. For the food: Appetizers: Braised short rib - 5/5 Crispy shrimp - 2/5. Lacks flavor and is just crunchy Entrees Shrimp Fra diavolo. This one grew on me as I ate it. It started at a 2/5, but the flavor grew as I ate it. The shrimp and the pasta themselves were ok, but the sauce ended up being a 4/5 Meatballs - 2/5. Comes with a few meatballs, a random rib, and a piece of sausage. Overall very simple and not much flavor. We also did a half bottle of wine, which was fine, but definitely marked up more than normally would be at a restaurant of this quality. Overall, I definitely would not recommend coming here for a date night. The ambiance is definitely not good for that. If you are looking for an extremely overpriced meal with a group of people with mediocre food, this is your place. read more

This happy hour is the reason to come! $1 oysters from 4-5pm every day. The service was incredible, the staff was very attentive and on top of everything. We ordered drinks and received them within a few minutes and same for our order of 24 oysters! I loved my experience here and will have to go back to check out their actual menu items.
