Our hot water heater stopped working and we called Pride Plumbing after hours and they returned my call as soon as they received the message they sent out technician Tyler Ginter and he stopped by and got straight to the point explaining everything that would be required to replace hot water heater and bring everything back up to the current codes. I can't recommend Pride Plumbing enough, particularly Dan Lopez and his team. We found ourselves in a nightmare situation in which a city tree's roots damaged our sewer lateral out in the middle of the street right next to the main line. The first plumbing company we called quoted many tens of thousands of dollars for what they promised was the only possible fix, which included breaking ground in the street. A few more plumbers came out and couldn't handle the problem, saying they'd need subcontractors for a high price. Dan got here, took a look, and was immediately confident that they could fix the issue without digging in the street for a small fraction of the cost. During the work, they uncovered a few other issues and took care of them all, finishing when they predicted they would and cleaning up nicely on the way out. My toilet was slowly leaking at 2 am and was in panic. My husband and I used up all the towels as to not leak into our carpeted rooms. Let me tell you, they are true to their word when they advertise 24 hour service. The others just tell you to leave a message even though they say 24 hour service. I called them at 4 am and Stephen was promptly at our door by 5am. He quickly assessed it was our septic and educated on how these things happen. He made some recommendations. He spent at least 3 hours with us and felt comfortable with him. Problem was fixed and now we're getting some parts replaced to avoid future issues. So I decided to fix a leak in my shower faucet.... So needless to say I wound up causing a bigger leak. A little over 5 years ago, I took advantage of the housing market, sold my house and moved here from Highland park, ca. it's a shame that when companies like Pride plumbing shows up, they think we are rich or just stupid clients. I broke even moving out here!! Pride plumbing was my last quote for today (had 3 other plumbing companies come out and give me a quote today). The most efficient quote was $150.00 and the average was $175-$180 to snake my sewer line. Pride quoted me $285.00!!! My advise is make sure you get other quotes before you hire these clowns!! Pride was to the rescue when our water heater started leaking! Big thanks to Bryan and Aidan for their quick work over the past 2 days. Today they replaced our 17 year-old water heater (crazy it lasted that long!) and were super friendly and knowledgeable. Our dog and cat were very interested in everything happening and they were both very gracious with giving pets so I appreciated that. We've used Pride in the past for our sink and that went great so we knew who to call. It was great how fast they came out and were able to replace everything. There's not enough space here for me convey how thankful we are for finding Matt at Pride Plumbing. We had a houseful of people for a photo shoot up in Lake Arrowhead when wastewater back up into a tub -- nasty! Not only were we up a mountain but it was after 11 at night! Matt came to the rescue that night! His work saved us hundreds of dollars in hotel expenses for the next night, but the job wasn't done...This house had recently been remodeled and the contractor had no idea what could've caused the backup. His plumber came out the next day, RE-set the toilet, and said everything was fine. Even tho Matt had cleared the blockage, we (and Matt) suspected something had caused the blockage. Matt returned and through sheer determination and smarts, Matt cracked the code! He found a chunk of tile that must've dropped down the pipes during the remodel. Our contractor had missed it, his plumber had missed it, but Matt found it, removed it, and saved us from what would've been a recurring problem of one backup after another. First time I used this company, probably my last. I had an issue with my clogged bathroom pipes. A problem I have had in past and corrected in past with other local companies. This was Sunday so I was forced to use a non local service. Price was elevated as expected. Before any thing was done ,the upsell began. Service was done supposedly, and charged excessively. But then 3 hours later the tree roots magically grew and clogged drains again. When tech was called to rectify the situation, the upsell began again, with no attempt to solve but just to blame people, who haven't used toilets since repair....so moral of the story is use a local plumber use local services... The house we recently purchased appeared to have been previously owned by a rouge plumber. Ignoring all standards and expectations, they creating a plumbing system only they could understand. When we inherited these problems, we found ourselves confused with the decisions and at a loss as to what our options were. Chris and Adam were there to help put things right. After pointing them in the general direction of where the problem was (a leaky water heater, with a globe valve that won't close all the way), the pair got to work replacing the globe valve with a gate valve, adding a much needed expansion tank, and making sure no flex pipe was used outside the enclosure. I actually followed Josh to this company since I've worked with him before from a previous company. Prices are reasonable and you get a plumber that is knowledgeable about the job so no worries on guessing if the job will be done right or not. No upsells here. Just good old fashioned quality work followed by excellent customer service. Even my landlord at a different location where I do business also uses them for his commercial plaza, so that says a lot. Over the summer, Pride plumbing came to my house to fix a leak in my bathroom. The tech (can't remember his name) was extremely nice which led us to trust him. The work we needed was done but since my mom and I didn't know what we were doing or asking for, he took advantage of us. It's a been a few months and I came to find out that he actually charged us quadruple for his service when my friend who is a plumber came to town, and another company who does plumbing (working on another project in our house) said we were charged hundreds more than what we needed to be. I felt what Pride asked for was too high but I trusted the tech because he was so nice. The tech also said we needed a new toilet and that he would charge us to do a fix but it won't fix the issue completely. I believe we were charged 200 for something that didn't even fix our issue (our total cost was 400). Turns out, we just needed to purchase a tank flapper from Home Depot for $3. The other plumbing company fixed the toilet for free for us. No new toilet. No more issues. Pride will take advantage of you if you don't know what you're doing and that to me is so sad. I'm more upset with myself for being so gullible, but just wanted to write this review to let people know. Perhaps get a second quote and compare. read more
