Finally I found this place !!! I did my hair a few months back went for a Brazilian blow out and had schedule and appointment because there was a special on Instagram for 200 with a girl named Jessica and was charge over 500 dollars. What was weird she put the total on her phone almost as if She didn't want anyone to know how much she was charging . Weird! Keep in mind I had already left a 50 deposit so total was like 550 crazy . Getting an appointment is tedious. I messaged several of their stylist and received POOR COMMUNICATION. I ended up getting in with Vanessa which I think is the owner. Her assistant was in contact with me. I had booked a second visit but with the shutdown I was forced to cancel and never was refunded my deposit. Vanessa did a good job but over all very poor communication. Also they will just start recording to post on their instagram without asking if its ok. If you are a celebrity you receive special treatment. But if you are just a commoner you won't be valued as customer. read more

I wanted a caramel color and my hair was to my hip, when I left it was shoulder length and blonde. My cousin recommended me to the hairstylist, Jessica. She gave her great reviews. I was able to easily book with her (but she's VERY booked so definitely need to book in advance). I live in El Sereno so came to Yelp to see where the place was. I'll admit, I saw all the bad reviews and got nervous. BUT I had been going to a hairstylist who just couldn't get my hair the way I wanted (see pic with darker hair, supposedly a balayage) so I went anyway since I didn't have much to lose. I'm trying to get a hold of the owner regarding my experience at this salon yesterday. I went in for a balyage and left the salon looking the same. Jessica rushed through her work and had her assistant finish me off. The end results were unnoticeable and I payed $250. The work did not only feel rushed (half an hour weaving to be exact) but she had no customer service skills what so ever, super unprofessional and definitely someone that doesn't value her reputation. She didn't care that I was an unsatisfied customer, didn't offer to fix the problem or even discount my total cost. I understand that with work like this there is a certain level of variance with results but I did not receive in the slightest what I paid for and further more I was not offered any resolution options. The only professional here is the owner. All The other stylist have no sense of Customerservice. I've reached out to 3 different stylists asking for an appointment via text as requested. Mind you I've kept an open schedule ( asking for the first available Saturday) and as of now no one is able to assist me. But after reading all the bad reviews I'm glad the appointment was never set. I usually get my hair done with the owner (Vanessa) but she is no longer working Saturdays,(understandable) but it looks like no one else in her salon is looking to take on new clients which should be advertised! EXTREMELY disgusted at JESSICA RODRIGUEZ's work, so much so, that it literally took me a few months to digest. I should have listened to these reviews. ANYWHO! I asked for a 6PM apt she stated 4PM was the latest, no problem, I took time off work to work with HER schedule and drove from Ladera Heights to Granada Hills. The salon was packed (Oct 2020) no CDC guidelines being met, but that's besides the point. SO, I have had BLONDE balayage/highlights since 2007. I simply came in to raise my highlights and add "Money bangs". She was so busy talking and dealing with another customer, I politely waited and worked on my laptop a bit. She finally came over and asked what I wanted (even though I had already messaged her WITH PICTURES OF BLONDE HAIR, but cool). She clearly seemed in a rush and wanted to take off. So she quickly works on my hair (splashing hair dye on my laptop and Kate Spade cover) sends me off with her assistant. Her assistant rinses my hair and says "oh you're going darker?" I said "NO" I haven't had dark hair since HS! I come back to her chair and ask Jessica if she was done (I thought she still needed to add product idk I'm not the "specialist") She says, yes, I asked why it was dark, she looked surprised as though she knew she'd messed up. And tells me "trust me you'll get more complements with this hair than you probably ever did with your other damaged hair" WOW. (Technically she just dyed my hair brown and made me money bangs with bleach right???) Long story short, she basically starts trying to belittle me in front of her peers after I showed her the picture I INITIALLY asked for. She made uncalled for comments about my hair and says she would never even bleach my hair even if I wanted to because my hair was damaged. Like OKAAAY, you could've told me this prior to starting my hair, I would've walked out! And made so many remarks in front of the other stylist. My eyes watered up at how furious I was with the results. She did not care. Jessica tried making so many excuses as to why I should appreciate my hair this way, instead of taking ownership for HER mistake. To make matters worst, she STILL charged me $250 for literally just to dying my hair dark brown. Never in my life have I felt so taken advantage of. Please save yourself the hassle, unless you like being taken advantage of and allowing them to pick whatever hair style THEY choose for you! read more

UPDATE: I waited a couple of weeks to give this update..I stopped putting all heat in my hair and religiously used pricey Hair treatments..but just like after I got my hair done my hair keeps breaking off..the ends are completely burned and when it breaks off its about 2-3 inches..my hair is now almost to my shoulders. So I will have to go pay to dye it dark brown this color is hideous..and purchasing hair extensions..there goes $350 more..I do NOT recommend this place girls just be careful don't fall for all those IG pics..Take care of your hair read more

Avoid this place and save your money. I had my hair done by Jessica in 2017 and absolutely loved it. I wanted a change in my look and was really excited to reach out to Jessica again. I messaged her in July 2020 and had set up an appointment for the ending of the month. I sent over the $50 deposit (which does NOT go toward your final price). Fast forward to a few days prior my appointment and the shut down happened which I obviously understood and my appointment got cancelled. She messaged me asking if I wanted a refund or for her to save it for when they opened up. I told her to save it and that was that. I messaged her early January because I saw she had recent uploads on IG and asked if she was working and she said yes and I made an appointment. I show up and half the time she didn't even work on me but some random girl. I booked an appointment with Jessica not some other girl. Both of them lack customer service skills and come off rude and like they're doing us a favor. Like no, I'm paying you guys. I ended up paying $300+ for hair I hate. I get home and after I shower I notice my hair wasn't even cut evenly, what a waste of money. Please avoid this place , save your money and go elsewhere. Jessicas license wasn't even up to date , and who knows if the other girl even had one. All you get here is nasty stares , bad attitudes and girls not even following covid standards since they kept pulling down their masks to talk to eachother. If I can give this salon 0 stars, I definitely would. I found this place through a classmate and decided to give it a shot. Most salons that I've been to has always been such a pleasant experience but this one was definitely NOT one of them. She has the worst attitude ever & made my visit extremely uncomfortable. When I was called over to get started on my hair, she didn't even introduce herself or said a simple "hi". She did not make an effort to even start a conversation with me. So after the first 30 minutes that I was there, I decided that this was really uncomfortable and I the customer initiated a conversation. Also having Asian hair, my hair has a really hard time transitioning to blonde. And she just did not have the patience to explain to me what the process was. I of course kept asking questions as I do not know anything about hair. I just felt like she did not care to even to answer ANY OF MY QUESTIONS and was extremely dismissive. So this might sound weird or awkward! I met Joey G. (hairstylist at prime) at a gay bar.. And the next morning I was in his salon chair!! I felt Joey could make a difference in my hair -- from the moment I met him, since he specializes in hair color correction! Not only did I go myself but, my friend came along and she got her hair done too!! This salon is chic and modern/trendy. Joey is by far the best hair dresser. I can't wait to go back to get my roots done again. The service at this salon is/was amazing!! They were constantly offering me water or a glass of wine! I had the worst experience it has taken me awhile to post this just because I didn't want any backlash or drama because this hair dresser in particular had the worst attitude ever! And I was just simply embarrassed of this ugly hair! I had explained to her what I wanted I had chosen a picture from her instagram page. That's the first picture that you see. I told her what I've been using on my hair as far as boxed hair dyes that's the last picture you see... So at this point I show up to my hair appointment doesn't say hey we can't do what u want or maybe we should do this. Instead she starts my hair does the front part of my hair. Then has her assistant do the back, then when it's time to finish my hair she has her assistant tone and smudge my roots what ever the heck that means. After I'm washed she cuts my hair. Then hands me off once again to her assistant. Mind you I paid $275 including tip. To get my hair done by Erica. But I didn't! Here are pictures of the results of that. Then when I contacted her she said my only option was to go dark I said no. Then I reached out to the owner and she also did nothing her response was they are all individually contracted hairstylist. So I just never went back! I will never recommend this place for HAIR! FYI the hair cut was also half ass! I have never ever gotten my hair done by a well known salon and hairdressers and have such an awful experience. This review is long over due!! I had an appointment to get a touch up on my balayage(about 2 months after original balayage done by the same stylist) we and I sat on the chair for 30 minutes without anything being done to my hair! Jessica Rodriguez was so unprofessional and treated me like my time wasn't valuable. She even made seem like I had missed an appointment with her before and that's why it was okay for her to book people at the same time. I got to the salon about 4 minutes before the other person she had scheduled at the same time but she made it seem like I didn't know what I wanted to do to my hair. It's sad, I used to get my hair done here all the time in their previous location, but with the new location and new staff... The vibe isn't the same. Ok... So they took me in fairly quick without an appointment, although I did come on a weekday, so i can say I just got lucky. The stylist seemed detached, bored and just plain unfriendly. He shampooed my hair and squeezed the excess water soo hard that I thought I got a quick 5sec facelift !!! I showed him a picture of what my cut used to look like and he didn't ask any questions.I figured great, he's good, he doesn't need my input. Then, 5min into the cut, around 1100, his 1115 appt walks in. He asks me if I'm going to get a blow dry as well, and when I said no, he says to his appt, "give me 10-15min" . Really??? He actually had to fix my cut a few times before I was sort of content with my hair. So he aint that good. Bottom line.... I was so excited to be booking an appointment w/ Vanessa, however, her assistant/CSR ruined my whole experience. After speaking to her assistant for about 10minutes, she said she would call me right back and never did. I left her detailed info as to what I needed along w/ all my contact info. Next day, I get a call from a girl who was so unprofessional, rude and didn't even know who she was looking for! She sounded like I was bothering her! A friend on mine told me about this place. I used to come here and I can say that I was always happy with their work. The downside is they will probably double book you as that was ALWAYS the case with me. I would spend an upwards of 2-4 hours here. Not fun. The quality of work is good here but being juggled around and forking out a minimum 2 bills (with tip) is not my idea of a good time. read more

The salon itself is pretty cute. At the time of my arrival (2:50pm on weekday) there was plenty of street parking. STRIKE 1: It was my first time in the salon. When I entered it was empty except for a receptionist and a woman (I later realized it was another stylist) sitting in the front lobby. The receptionist was not very welcoming. I announced that I was there for a 3 PM appointment with Vanessa. She then said to take a seat and she would notify her that her client had arrived. STRIKE 2: After a few minutes the receptionist asked me if I had traveled far to the salon and asked me who I spoke to when I booked the appointment. I looked at my call log and told her I booked the appt back on May 30 if that helped to pinpoint who was working that day...She said "yeah that doesn't really matter, we have several people who book appointments." (OKAY...then why ask?) she continued to say that Vanessa doesn't usually take clients on Tuesdays. (Okay, shouldn't EVERYONE know the stylists schedule?) So now I'm rescheduled for tomorrow. I came here a long time ago, probably closer to when it first opened. They do get a lot of foot traffic but I thought this place was ridiculously expensive to say the least. I paid $60 just for a trim and a blow out. I'm not even including the tip that I gave the girl. The employees seem nice, the lady that cut my hair seemed nice enough. I'm not really big on these types of hair salons. Anyway, I'm sure they do a good job, I didn't think it was anything great that I couldn't have gotten for much less somewhere else. I love how she always leave my hair the way I want it .... she will tell you when things won't come out the way you want at first ... which I like .... she is honest .... I have been having dark hair for a while ... n wanted to change color to lighter I did tell her n she told me I couldn't she has been changing my hair color little by little so it won't get damage which I appreciate very much .... oh and if you want to get ur Brazil blow out I recommend to do it with her u would love it results ... the staff is great they are always friendly and I what I have seen that they take their time with their clients ... which that's good most salons don't do that .... read more

They charged her $120 for an up-do that started falling by the time we got home (we live in Granada Hills, 10 mins tops to get home). I'm the kind of person that would have gone back that very same day but it was prom day, so timing didn't allow it. The salon was nice and clean. The staff was friendly enough and they did a very pretty job with her hair, but $120 is a lot for something that's falling in 10 mins. read more

The last time I went I got my hair chopped off to my shoulders :( after I asked for "just a trim" never going back.
