My experience started with Pete having to cancel because he had car trouble as he was on his way to my address. He texted right away, was very apologetic, and was able to set up another appointment the next morning with Phil. I had lots of sticky dog hair in the car and wondered if it could all really be removed. When Phil was done with the car I couldn't see any dog hair! I requested an Interior Deep Clean. Overall, I thought Prime Shiners did a good job while the overall experience was convenient. Detailing: They vacuumed / washed the interior and get some lights stains off my seats. While there were some nooks (between seat & glove box) , the interior is looking pretty fresh. I couldn't be more happy with the service I just received from Alex(s) -- yes, both the guys that did a detail on the interior of my Honda Fit were named Alex and they worked efficiently and with such attention to detail! I just purchased the Fit and it had some pet hair and crud from the previous owner that I wanted to have taken out. They were able to come to me within half an hour of my initial outreach to Pedram. I've never had my car detailed so I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought it would be much better than I could do myself but it wasn't. They did a great job on the interior except the windows were so streaked in front and back that there was a bad glare and I had to clean them again myself. The exterior cleaning was definitely not as good as when I wash it myself. Lots of debris left in the windshield wiper area and window edges etc. I guess if your car is really dirty it would be worth it, but I keep my car pretty clean as is so it wasn't worth the money for me. That said, they were professional and responsive and they did clean it. read more

I had never had my 18 year old pickup truck detailed so this was a big job. I can't say that they returned it to "like new" condition because it's had decades of adventures all over the West Coast. Booked an appointment for Friday at 1:30 pm. Received a text message communicating my tech was going to be taking a lunch break after finishing up another service and wouldn't arrive until 2:30. I communicated that I had a previously scheduled appointment and that I would need to leave to arrive at by 4 and that my appointment time shouldn't be getting pushed back by an hour due to a techs lunch break. I asked if there would be some compensation/discount for my inconvenience and Pedram communicated that all their times were estimates per their website and that he wasn't able to offer any kind of discount. Understanding a few things; one that estimates should be with regard to cleaning time and not arrival time. Two, a tech being 10-15 minutes late is understandable but an hour due to a lunch break that should have been previously scheduled is not. Three, if the actual appointment times are an estimate then the time for booking should also be listed as a window and not for an exact time. Just my two cents; ultimately I won't be using this service. If you do be aware that their appointment times aren't prompt. read more

We wound up asking him to clean a second car, so he basically wound up spending the day here. Also, we live on a busy street and don't have a driveway. That includes having hauled around 2 large shedding dogs and 1 small one, so lots of hair and lots of dirt. Had never used a detailer before but based on PrimeShiners' reviews I thought I'd give them a try. I'm very impressed with the owner's responsiveness and accommodating me time-wise. Most of all I'm impressed with the excellent work that Philip did, taking my car from filthy to looking almost new. (Also, it's no small thing in the at-home service field that Philip was on time!) My initial experience with Prime Shiners was a disappointing one because there was mud left towards the bottom of the car and dirty streaks along the windows. I let them know via their email feedback survey. In response, the owner, Pedram, reached out to me within 24hrs to apologize for the oversights and scheduled a follow up for the next day. He was kind enough to restore the car window trim at no extra cost as well. I appreciate that he went above and beyond to ensure we felt the work warranted the cost. Given the follow up, I would recommend Prime Shiners. I would just caution customers to take a look at the finished product to avoid any back and forth, and to ensure you get what you want the first time around. I'm sure that's what both the company and customers prefer. read more

Kudos for their easy scheduling, Yelp coupon, and communication. The tech was a bit late but they informed me ahead of time so that wasn't an issue. Where I have to deduct one star is the fine details. Where the tech shampooed and vacuumed, things were super clean. However, he missed a few areas: the passenger-side armrest, the area under the cargo carpet, and some bits of trash under the seats. (My guess is that he didn't move the seats forward and back all the way.) Overall a good job but not a perfect job. read more
