I have an oil leak and my shop asked me to have the engine steam cleaned so it would be easier to find where the leak was. XLNC was one of the only spots I could find in the area that offered this service. They are located in the parking lot of ArtHaus Studios and you can use the ArtHaus lounge while waiting for the detailing work to be done. Very comfortable and fast/ free wifi. I brought my laptop and got some work done. Engine looks shiny and new. I hope my shop can find and fix the leak! read more

I had a positive experience with XLNC Auto Beauty after discovering signs of rodents in my car (torn-up paper and that unmistakable smell--my second run-in with wood mice, yikes!). This is also my second time using their service. They were able to inspect, clean, run an ozone treatment, and do a Full Interior Detail all within 24 hours on a weekend. Mike, the owner, was responsive and kept me updated every step of the way, clearly explaining what he found and the proposed solution. The service was quick, thorough, and genuinely reassuring during a stressful situation. The smell is completely gone now, and the interior of my car is thoroughly cleaned. The only thing I wish had been different was getting a quote right after the inspection--I was a bit surprised by the final price. UPDATE: Mike refunded some of money, which makes me feel like I got a fair deal. I put my project out here and got a lot of offers. Basically it was to wash and wax my car and do clay and possibly ceramic. also wanted my interior cleaned, and I wanted the leather seats to have some kind of protective coating on them. Mike gave me the best offer which was between 450 and 600. I took my car over there to get an estimate and I told him that they did not have to shampoo the rugs, but I did want the car vacuumed and definitely Armor all or something like that used on the seats, which are leather. I also wanted the exterior polished and some white paint that was on the surface to be buffed off. Mike quoted me $600 and told me if I brought it back Wednesday morning. They would have it looking beautiful by the evening. When I went to get my car after they told me it was ready, there was still rags and cleaner in the car and the mats had not put been put in and the inside looked pretty haphazardly done as far as the console There was some protectant on some of it, but Some of it was clearly missed. The kid that works there is the first one who greeted me and he didn't even look me in the eye and when I tried to talk to him, he just kind of shuffled back into the workspace. When Mike came out, he showed me how he got the scuffs off my car and I was really happy about that. What I wasn't happy about is after I got home and I started really looking at the interior. I realize that they didn't even really vacuum it. They might have done a very light vacuum , but the seats were definitely not done and no protectant on any of the seats. So basically, I got an exterior wash and wax and some buffing but no polishing for $600. . He even admitted to me that they did not polish it and that if I wanted it polished, I could bring it back in a couple months and pay $400 for that. My car was done and a really half assed way as far as I'm concerned. For $600 I could've gotten much better work done. Hesitant? DONT BE! I took my Mercedes Benz through a car wash and it damaged my paint. It left black marks and also darkened my paint. I contacted Mike and explained why I needed a paint restoration and he gave me a quote and set me up for the next day! I have read many reviews from other shops and decided to give them a try! I just had my car cleaned again by XLNC because I had spilled *a lot of garlic olive oil* from dinner takeout all over the back passenger seat. And later this Winter we are planning on driving up to friends who live in bear country and were told explicitly by our friends to be wary of even leaving gum or mints in the car cause bears can smell it and will break in to eat whatever food item is in there; it has happened to their neighbors. I started to panic imagining a brown bear who loves Italian food hitting up our car. I had tried to get an appointment asap after I smelled / saw the stain but, with the heavy rain storm and conflicts on my end it ended up being an extra two weeks before I could schedule the appointment. At that point I was just hoping for enough chemicals to cover up the food smell, even if the stain wouldn't come out. I know how rough oil is on fabric and have tried to get stains out clothing and failed miserably. But XLNC came through again. I forgot to snap pictures before and after, but if you look at my review from below it was akin to that level of deeply soaked in stain on the same fabric seats. Ty was amazing. He was communicative, told me what to expect, gave me a rundown of his process and then proceeded to not only eradicate the smell but he got the entire stain out. He called me up when done and gave me a rundown on what to expect for the remainder of the drying and we were all good to go. 10/10. I love XLNC, you guys are the best. I trusted XLNC Auto Beauty's Oakland branch to handle a detailed cleaning of my BMW 330i after their website and technician assured me they specialize in professional handling of tough jobs, like bodily fluid cleanup. My car was in excellent condition, driveable with low mileage and no issues prior to the service. The detailing was to address vomit located on the passenger seat, window, door jamb, dash, carpet, and seat belt -- not in the center console. Instead, their service caused major damage to my car's electrical system by leaving moisture in the center console, which damaged the iDrive control unit and parking brake system. This resulted in $4,000+ in costs (e.g., detail, tow, repair) and left me without a vehicle for nearly two weeks. I gave the company 10 days to respond and resolve the issue with full documentation of the damages, repair reports, and invoices. Unfortunately, they have not taken accountability for their mistake. If you value your car, think twice before trusting XLNC Auto Beauty. Brought my car here for the first time and for the price I was not pleased with the service. I booked for the mobile car wash service online for $100. Great price I thought! Considering where I live, it can't be washed at my property so I drove to their location. Thats no longer a mobile detail service which means price should technically be less. I was in desperate need of a wash so I left it alone. It took them about 4 hours to have my car ready when it was originally stated it would be 2. When I went to check my car they hadn't even opened the trunk to vacuum it, which is crazy because I had a ton of leaves in there and if I don't open it it would have been the same as a gas station wash for $100. The interior vacuuming/dusting was very half assed to be honest. And at the start one of the guys asked if anything required specific focus, and I said yes theres residue on my dashboard from my FastTrack device. I'm not sure what they used but the residue remained and my dashboard had a large white/faded spot where they scrubbed. Thankfully I was able to restore it with an Amazon product. And my windshield they wiped the interior with a very greasy rag that would create horrible view at night. After several cleanings with glass cleaner and windex I was able to clear it. You're probably better off paying $10 at the gas station for a wash a quick vacuum and dusting of dashboard would be just as good in my opinion. On a positive note, the young guys working there were all very polite and had a good attitude. read more

I AM LOVING XLNC! There is a car wash within walking distance of my home, but it is OK. So, I decided to go down the road a little further and give this black-owned business a try. I WAS NOT LET DOWN! I called about 20min after they opened, and I gave a brief description of the cleaning work I needed done on my car. They said "no problem, we can do all of that!" I asked how long that would take and if they had a lounge waiting area (because I had work to do). It was going to be about 3hrs and they had a lounge area with free WiFi, coffee and tea (PERFECT!). I absolutely love the location of this car wash! It is in the ArtHaus (art studios/coworking space) parking lot, which is nestled in the corner of a residential neighborhood. The parking lot is gated, but was open and easy to access. Upon arrival we (mommy tagged along) were greeted by Mike. Who was super friendly and let me know where to park. He then let us into the ArtHaus building were we had to check-in on a tablet (name, email, COVID-screening, and photo). The process was super smooth and it made us feel secure in the building! Which was a great feeling considering I had to have my laptop AND iPad on me to do work. Now let's talk about the lounge space! The decor was POPPIN' and such a VIBE for chilling, eating, or getting work done. There were multiple tables to choose from, various styles of chairs and couches. There was a big kitchen space with access to a microwave, coffee, tea and a vending machine. The bathrooms were also in the same space and they were nice, clean and smelled good! After giving us a brief tour of the space Mike said it would be about 3hrs and I would get a text upon completion. So we setup shop, got to work and waited until the job was done. About 2hrs in I got a text from Mike letting me know where he was in the process and said my interior was going to take a little more time than projected (not surprising, I've got a toddler and the backseat was atrocious lol). He also sent me a video of what my rugs looked like as he was cleaning them! I loved that! (Yelp apparently won't let me upload the video!) Instead of 3hrs it ended up being closer to 4hrs which I didn't mind because I had work to do anyways and the lounge space was soooo nice! In future if I didn't feel like working in the space I may just drop the car off and come back when it was done. When we got to my car it looked like it did when I pulled off the lot 8yrs ago! Lol Mike did an AMAZING job on my car! The interior was SPOTLESS! I didn't even want to get in! (I'm so mad I didn't take before pics! Lol). Mike even cleaned my sons car seat AND the mat underneath the car seat! Upon completion you get a text saying your car is ready and a link to payment! I love an easy payment method and the link directly to your phone made the transaction super easy! I will DEFINITELY be back! After a deer jumped in front of my car late last fall, my car sat for a while before it was repaired, during the peak of rainy season. An unknown leak meant water got into my car, and things were moldy and, frankly, disgusting. XLNC did an incredible job of restoring my car's interior after I got it repaired, even cleaning the seatbelt that had previously had fuzzy mold growing up its entire length. Following my car wash last year, I reached out to Mike inquiring about the paint correction special. He shared that they were running it with $30 off, for a total of $310. Prior to booking, I asked how long I should expect to be without my car, and I didn't hear back. I followed up again a couple weeks later, and Mike said that the work would take 4-6 hours. We scheduled the work. I brought the car in at 10:20 am and mentioned that I needed to pick it up before 4 or the next day before they close around 3 or 4. We ended up deciding to do pick up the next day so they didn't rush. I appreciated this. I will note that I assumed that my car would be done and ready for me to pick up the next day. I show up around 2:30 because I don't want to be the last person holding up closing. One of the guys greets me and I find that my car needs an additional 30 minutes. Since it was only 30 minutes, my friend and I waited around for the car; however, at least hour rolls by and I hadn't received a call. I check in and the person says they need another 10 minutes. About 20-30 minutes roll by. I noticed Mike is around and asked him how much more time was needed. He said another 10 to finish up. I wait. 10 minutes later we walk the car. I will say, the car look really good. My friend couldn't help but keep saying how shiny it was. Overall, I am pleased with the result. I do want to note that I am disappointed with the communication. He said the weather threw them off and that they didn't want to rush the job. I understand and appreciate this...AND I don't feel like my time was respected. Looking at my messages and timeline for the day, I didn't leave with my car until around 4:30. I would have wanted to hear that my car would need to be picked up on X day at X time rather than spend the 2 hours waiting for the car. Again, overall, the car looks great. Mike honored the paint correction special price. I tipped the staffer who did a good job. I just wish I had those two hours back. Mike, if you read this, please know I'm happy to talk and please let me know if anything I wrote seems unfair or inaccurate. I am so grateful I found Mikeand his team during my visit to Oakland. On my third day here my car got broken into and it smelt horrible. The stench was like no other. I reached out to a couple different detailers and XLNC had the most promising reviews. The owner Mike told me to come through and car get my car assessed. They recommended something that was a little out of my budget so we stuck with a full shampooing and they took me in right away. A couple hours after I was called back, turns out whoever broke into my car peed in the back seat. The stench of there bodies were now gone but the pee smell was so potent and disgusting that I had to get more help. The owners grandson Michael was a god sent, he was so caring and kind. He kept my car another day to do the ozone treatment as well. He called me consistently through the day giving me updates on his process and the horrible smell. The homeless person who got in my car managed to pee so much that it went all the way through my seats and seatbelt. Michael reshampooed, took off my seats, and did absolutely the best that he could to take the smell out. I am soooooo appreciative of this place, truly the best service I have ever received for anything. Sadly the smell was not able to come out but I dont even think anything could take that smell out. I just bought my car a few months ago, and I've been handwashing it myself for fear that one of the many brush-based car washes would do a number on my paint. Since I didn't have the time to wash it myself, I decided to look up a car wash business on Yelp, and I'm glad I found these guys. They offer either mobile service or service at their 11th Street location at The Arthaus. The team did an excellent job detailing my baby with care and thoroughness while I did work in a modern and well-appointed co-working lounge (think WeWork) with coffee and comfy seating. The owner is very personable, and attentive, and took the time to give me tips on preserving the paint on my car. The fact that it is a family-run business is a bonus. It's definitely worth the money ($80 for an SUV) if you care about your car, and I'll be back. Keep up the great work and service! read more

I was looking for someone to detail the interior of my car because of some spills, and the owner, Michael of XLNC Auto Beauty was one of the first ones to reach back out to me promptly after I requested a quote on Monday evening. He offers both mobile service and work at his facility. His price of $250 for an interior detail for a sedan was fair too. We agreed on a day within the same week on Wednesday - I let Michael know that I needed my car back by 2 PM, so he told me we can do 10 AM, as it takes about 2.5 hours (depending on the severity of the car). My car was not that dirty and the main focus was the carpet on the driver's side and the front seats, but I did ask him to clean my center console, glove compartment, and trunk as well. We set up to meet at a local gym parking lot (which I asked the gym employees for permission ahead of time and got the okay from them). I arrived at 10 AM and waited in my car for 2 hours for his employees to show up, even after several phone calls from and to Michael, as well as the 2 employees on the way to me, I was given false promises of the time of arrival - something along the lines of 'they are finishing another car, so no more than another 30 minutes because you would not want us to rush the work on your car' from him when in fact it was another hour after his statement and 'we are on the way, only about 10 - 15 minutes away' from the actual employees when in fact it was another 30 - 40 minutes after their statement. I was patient and I stayed, even though I wanted to call and cancel at this point - they arrived a few minutes before 12 PM and finished my car in less than 2 hours. I quickly checked my car, as I had to be somewhere and it looked decent at the time - I paid, tipped, and thanked the 2 guys who worked on my car. Regarding the time of arrival, I felt like it was a bit confusing/dishonest to make it seem like the appointment was at 10 AM to get my business, but then he sends me a link to their 'What to Expect On A Field Visit' page. Although I saw that that it was stated that my appointment time is within a 2-hour arrival window, I mistakenly thought that because I told him I needed my car back by 2 PM, he would had been more considerate of my time. I should had double-checked and verified this with him personally to had avoided this confusion/misunderstanding. Anyway, when I checked my car again later, I noticed some water spots on the car doors and dashboard that did not dry well. I let Michael know and we agreed for me to come back that Friday at 10 AM. I decided to bring my car in to him, rather than wasting my time and waiting for 2 hours like the 1st time. I noticed my center console/glove compartment was still dirty - I ended up just cleaning/wiping them myself. They have a tent set up off to the side in the parking lot of Artthaus Studios and work from there - I was able to hang out in the coworking area inside, while they worked on my car. I got my car back in about 2 hours after they cleaned and supposedly finished drying my car - I looked over the main spots quickly and at the time, it looked better, so I thanked Michael. When I got in my car, I noticed my rearview mirror pushed up, which was not a big deal at the time, so I gently put it back in place and left, but as I was driving, I noticed some marks on the mirror. When I parked, I noticed that those were scratches on my mirror and the dash/doors had water spots that did not dry well that just appeared. I called to ask Michael, if he cleaned my rearview mirror, which he responded that he personally cleaned it, then I told him I had scratches on the mirror, which he got defensive and claimed he did not touch my mirror when in fact he just stated he did a moment ago. He wanted me to come back, so he can see the scratches and water spots, but since I had to go somewhere and will be busy the following weeks, I could not keep going back and forth. The next day, my car started to have this weird musty smell, so I lifted the carpeted mat under the rubber mat, as well as the actual carpet on the driver's side and it reeked - most likely because it did not fully dry before the mats were placed back on top of each other. A few weeks later, we talked about the situation, and I had a chance to bring my car back in after finding a day that worked for both of us. He denied having anything to do with the scratches on my mirror, as well as reflected blamed for the smell of my car on the rain/me, which could not had been true, as the smell came after the 2nd cleaning and the rain did not start until about 1.5 weeks after the smell. He did cleaned the unevenly dried water spots on my dash/doors and let me watch him. Unfortunately, I ended up with a scratched rearview mirror & musty smelling carpet/mats - the service did not meet my expectations and we did not meet eye to eye, but I do appreciate the fact that he did clean the water spots an additional 2 times - hence the 2 stars, rather than an 1 star. read more

Paying the extra for a mobile felt a little luxurious but when you're short on time and have two cars to wash, why not bring the car wash to you? Ben from XLNC did an excellent job on our cars, the interior looks better than it ever has and he was able to remove some stubborn marks that I couldn't figure out how to! He turned up equipped with everything he needed to do the job, including a portable generator incase there was no readily accessible power. He also had a power washer and (I think!) his own source of water! Overall, the price was competitive for a mobile car wash, if a little higher than going to a traditional/non-mobile car wash but the convenience and quality were excellent.
