Less than 'Prime' very average. Avoid unless you lower expectations. Ordered the shoulder tenderloin and asked if i could swap the sides it comes with (rice, potatoes) for asparagus/broccolini. If i say the waitress' response was unfriendly, it would be an understatement. She made me feel bad for asking - frowns, undertones and told me to order something else before agreeing to ask the kitchen. So if you go here, don't try to customize your order. Asked for the steak to be medium-plus. Steak was medium-rare. Wasn't going to tell the unfriendly waitress as I wasn't interested in more disparaging remarks from her. I don't mind medium-rare but not what I ordered. Unless you really enjoy pickled shallot and chives, get it without. They overpower the meat. Also, the oscar-style crab-cake or whatever was in it is disappointing. I imagined it was going to be a tasty buttery crab, but whatever it was- it was an un-tasty distraction from the meat. TLDR: If you want to pay top dollar for a watery steak and no offer of a refund, this is the place for you. At least the waiter was nice. If these had been diner prices, I would've only been mildly disappointed. Truly one of the most disappointing and confusing dining experiences I've ever had. I didn't know steak could taste watery, but my partner's steak and my steak (different cuts) were both watery. I took two bites, then boxes the rest up, took it home and fixed it by seasoning it with salt and steak spice then putting it in the oven on a low heat to get rid of the watery taste. They had great fries and the garlic mashed potatoes tasted like the boxes ones you microwave at home. The flavors in all the dishes felt a little off--not sharply something wrong with them, but like there was an ingredient or cooking technique that was off and prevented it from harmonizing the flavors. The textures were all fine, but the taste in everything was off. My partner ate the smoked salmon and bacon deviled eggs, which he said were good. I ate the other three--a mushroom, lobster truffle and cheese one. The egg yolk parts all needed a bit more acid, and--I'm not a fan of too much salt but--the whole dish needed more salt in the accoutrement or yolk mixture. The restaurant's decor makes it look like it's having an identity crisis. Walking in, it looks and feels like you should be in a pub, but looking at the menu's prices and food they serve, it feels like you're at the Met Grill downtown. It feels like it falls in the crevice between old Redmond and what Redmond is trying to become, given the growth in the area. This would be zero stars, except our server Ryan was kind, helpful and informative. I do wish though that there'd been more of an offer than, "can I offer to get you a different dish." After trying 4 of the dishes and each of them being off, I wasn't eager to have another one. Driving home from what was supposed to be a delicious date night, I felt disappointed and uneasy about spending high-class Met Grill prices for food that tasted like it was made by the local diner cook in their first week on the job. Wonderful experience here during these COVID restricted days and nights. They have their outdoor seating area really dialed in - great cover from the elements and with heating, but just enough air flow and ventilation. Food and drinks are outstanding - from the appetizers to the main dishes. Love the drinks as well. And finally, the service was perfect. I'm going to give this place three stars for customer service and attentiveness. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. The kid's burger my son ordered was huge and is big enough for an adult to eat and fill them up. The lamb I ordered was just okay- fall off the bone meat, juicy, but didn't really have that much flavor. My husband's steak came out surprisingly fast- despite being ordered medium well, so we don't know if it was pre-cooked/grilled and had just been sitting under the heating lamp, but we hope not. My daughter liked her baked chicken. We also ordered desserts to share: crème brûlée had the consistency of playdoh, and the cookie with vanilla ice cream was better. The husband surprised me with dinner reservations here one night and I was excited to try this beautiful restaurant located in convenient downtown Redmond. The interior design is quite stunning and looks like an upscale steakhouse. The wood paneled ceiling is nicely complimented by rustic lighting and sleek black leather chairs. It has a romantic and intimate feel to the atmosphere that is perfect for date night. We had reservations and were taken to our table right away and given a chance to look over their impressive menu. They have a lot of delicious sounding selections from starters to mains to desserts and I was thrilled to see the gluten free designations on the menu so I wouldn't have to bother the server. We waited quite a while to meet our server, maybe 15-20 minutes or so, so we definitely were hungry and knew what we wanted when she arrived. I was excited to see their lobster bisque was gluten free so I ordered that and the husband had crab cakes as starters. Both were quite delicious. After our apps came out, we just didn't see our server for the longest time. After we'd been there about an hour, we stopped someone and they went and checked on our food for us. Our steaks finally came out, I had the tenderloin trio and the husband had the filet mignon, and they were all overcooked. While my temp was med well instead of med rare as I'd requested, I did enjoy the different preparations. We'd ordered brussels sprouts as a side but they never arrived. We finally saw our server again after we'd finished eating and it was just to drop off our check. We were planning on dessert but since she didn't offer or check on us the whole time we decided to just pay and leave. Total time in restaurant was almost two hours with most of that being waiting patiently at our table. This place seems to have everything it needs for success- a killer location, high-end menu, and great flavor profiles. Extremely inconsistent, which isn't really ok at this price point. "Medium rare" can be anywhere from dripping-with-blood rare to well done. Can be good when they're on, but you shouldn't have to roll the dice to get something edible when paying $60 for a steak. Appetizers are also inconsistent, but at least you're only tossing $15 worth of food if they ruin one of those. In Redmond, there are plenty of places I like and plenty of places I don't like, but this is the only place that I'n surprised can stay in business. If this place has nice ambience or a nice view, I'd guess that people are coming for the ambience or the view, but it doesn't have either of those things! Always enjoy Prime. The price to quality is remarkable especially in the post-Covid environment for steakhouses. I really enjoy the homemade nature to everything they produce. One of the critical things that I enjoy about Prime (aside from the remarkable price to quality ratio) is the clean nature of the food. It's not over salted or covered in seasoning to mask any other failures of the kitchen. It's nearly always a winner and even if the occasional order is a miss, the price and service make up for those moments. We thoroughly enjoyed our first time experience here. Went for lunch with drinks and dessert. The menu is a cornucopia of delights and made us melancholy to not have ruminant stomachs. Too much temptation! Started with the deviled eggs appetizer and immediately knew we made the right choice in restaurant. Holy Cow! Don't skip this triumph - it is an ambitious attempt that sticks the landing! A+! Prime Rib dips were good and the onion rings outstanding (highly recommend adding). The piéce de résistance however was the French Onion Soup. Hands down the best broth, bread and cheese combination ever. BAM!!! I will be dreaming of this one for some time. We went to happy hour Friday night with friends. It was their first time and we had been there numerous times before. We all ordered the burger and fries. The burger was not how we remembered it. Attended an investment seminar tonight with friends at this restaurant. First time dining here. They have a parking lot, if you find a vacant spot, be sure to let the hostesses know and give them your license plate number so your car isn't tolled. If you aren't lucky enough to get a spot in the lot, street parking can be challenging to find. The restaurant dinning room isn't very big so I would suggest making a reservation. Although this is a steak house, 2 of us decided To ordered the wild King salmon dinner with quinoas and spinach. My salmon was cooked to perfection (I requested medium rare) and was very fresh tasting. Portion size was generous. The other 2 in our party ordered the shoulder tenderloin trio, one order was a well cooked medium rare, while the other was a very cooked "medium" so it was rather dry and chewy. The red wine was good (Merlot), and ice teas, and diet soda were good, but it took a long while to receive There was a large group of us dining at the same time so it took quite a while to get our food and drinks. The service staff; 2 waitresses and a busboy/assistant were scrambling the best they could under the circumstances. They all were all very cordial and respectful. There was a a bar area with 2 TVs tuned to sport stations. The Happy Hour menu selections were numerous and prices seamed reasonable. Not sure of portion sizes, but many of the HH food Items looked to be about $5.00 less than the regular menu prices. Full disclosure: I didn't order a steak when I came here (it was spontaneous, and I didn't want a heavy meal), which may have affected this review. Service was excellent - the server took orders pretty quickly and was friendly when talking about dishes. We ordered: - Roasted Bone Marrow - Baby Spinach Salad with Ahi Tuna - Caesar Salad - Chicken Fingers (kid's menu) with Fruit Bone marrow was pretty good, but accompaniments missed the mark - I wish the salad provided more acidity. It was also just...a lot of bone marrow, which could have been better communicated. Baby spinach salad was pretty decent (huge portions), but caesar salad was lacking. Honestly, the kid's menu chicken fingers were one of my favorite parts of the meal (there was so much leftover that I got a bite, haha...). Giant portions - would split an entree and skip the appetizers next time. Overall, the food was just really heavy (but, steakhouse) so I'd have to be in the right mood for it. read more

I will always start off with the positives... The music playlist was great! It was such a great vibe. The street view is always great for people watching. The socially distanced table settings didn't finish the cozy setting. The service was quick for seating and I had my water offered to be refilled at least 5 times in the 1 1/2 hours we were there. However, I was so underwhelmed with the quality of food. When looking at pictures of dishes before going to the restaurant, I saw so many inconsistencies in playing or toppings of salad. I ordered the wedge salad and sirloin. Both lacked balanced flavors and seasoning. The wedge was overwhelmed with too many pickled onions and had no tomatoes on top. The sauce served with the steak was so sweet... maybe it's how it is supposed to be prepared but just didn't feel as if it belonged on the plate. There were the same dried garlic slices on both the salad AND the steak... can we explore different toppings? I ordered the trio only have the waitress inform me 15 mins later that they were out of the trio. I chose the filet mignon and they were out of that as well.... how do you run out? You're a steak house and it's only 6:45pm? Would have been fine if they delivered a good sear and food was seasoned well. Again, just underwhelmed. I had high hopes! Prime is open during COVID for take out and dine in. Dine in is limited to the 8 or so tables on the patio. When I was there, only 2 tables had heaters but all tables are under a patio. There was a special on Sunday I just couldn't miss out on! Two salads, 24 oz of prime rib, 2 potato sides, and 1 dessert for $65. I had the mixed green salad which was super delicious and not overly dressed. Fries were a great crisp and prime rib was moist and tender. I came to prime last year and there were so many flies by the window I had to ask to move tables which they let us but still gross. There was a large group in the room with us and they just have ordered just before us because we waited almost an hour for our entrees to come. To sum it all up in a word, "disappointing." I went here to celebrate a friend's promotion, expecting good steak at one of the few steakhouses that has outdoor seating available. The outdoor seating was fine, but the steak was just plain bad. My friend got the Delmonico for $62. This supposed to be a thick-cut steak, but it was 1" thick or less. It is supposed to be incredibly tender, but there was connective tissue running through different parts of the steak he received. He asked for it medium-well, but about a quarter of the steak was not just rare, but raw in the center. I ordered the stroganoff. My food came out late (the waiter apologized sincerely for the glitch in their ordering system that caused this). The stroganoff was not as good as what a foodie friend of mine makes, and did not warrant the menu price. On top of that, halfway through my dish I discovered a grape mixed in with it. I did not eat the rest of the pasta. The restaurant was kind enough to voluntarily not charge us for the stroganoff. Even so, with just my friend's low-quality and badly cooked steak, a salad, and an alcoholic drink the meal came to roughly $100. The waiter tried to do right by us so I don't see this as being a problem with the waitstaff. I think the kitchen was really not on their game, and the restaurant is buying low-quality cuts of meat. read more

We came here for my-mother in-law's birthday lunch on 12-2-2022. We ordered two steaks and scallop dish. More I ate the overcooked scallops; I could smell the ammonia on scallops which I could not figure out what it was. Then I remembered they had lost a power few days ago in that area. I did not make the scene since it was my mother-in-law's birthday. I never write review, but I think it is wrong to serve slightly spoild food and charge $284.35. TL;DR if you're looking for a nice steak restaurant highly suggest this place. Nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive wait staff, wonderful food. We had a reservation which may have been a bit of overkill since they weren't super busy. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who sat us and shortly after our waiter (Ryan) came by and introduced himself and gave us a quick rundown of the restaurant which was nice. Mentioning that their steak cooks tended to be on the rarer side and on the top of the menu they had the description of each of the cooks for the steaks. We started with the bruschetta which was a great starter the tomatoes were wonderful juicy and a little sweet which was balanced by the balsamic and garlic spread they put on the bread which was toasted nicely not too much but enough to give a good crunch. We ordered the half roasted chicken and New York steak medium well. The half roasted chicken was wonderful with lots of flavor, very juicy and it sat on a bed of the creamy mashed potatoes and some asparagus. The New York steak was also wonderfully seasoned with a side of creamy mashed potatoes which were a nice balance of creamy but still had a bit of texture which was nice. Definitely could have gotten the medium as it would have been a bit closer to what I imagine a medium rare is at other places. The side of fried Brussels sprouts were amazing as well wonderfully fried with a bit of a sweet taste but not too much.
