Post covid customer service seems to have disappeared in most restaurants, but not here. I was greeted by three different people, seated promptly and served efficiently. I think it's classy the servers wear uniforms with bow ties. It's an extension of their sincerity to serve. Veggie omelette was huge. The food was delicious and generous portions by my account. Food was cold, not very flavorful. My wife's egg whites were way runny and inedible. We were offered to have them made again and when the waitress brought them to the cook you could hear him argue with the waitress about it. We ended up canceling the order as we had an appointment to go too and didn't have time to wait any longer. When we checked out at the counter we were asked how the god was and when we started to answer she rudely started talking to someone else and had another person ring us up. Not going back! Staying in Niles a few days. We went one evening for dinner, restaurant was clean, food was good & plentiful, prices reasonable. Service was excellent. Impressed enough we went back for breakfast the next morning. Despite being very busy, wait time was not more than 15 minutes, which is pretty good for a Sunday morning. They do not serve liquor so have your cocktails/happy hour before going to dinner. read more

It's rare when you sit at the table and within 5 seconds a guy comes up and offers you piping hot coffee (cups on the table). Well maybe get that service if you are at some of the best restaurants in the world. This is the way that the prime table start you off. After being floored with their super quick response on the coffee, another different waitress came and took our order. Food arrived cooked to perfection and way more than we could ever hope to eat. Left completely satisfied with my 3 meat, hashbrown, mushroom and onion scramble dog with two over hard eggs. I wandered up to Niles for lunch with a co-worker and we decided to check out the Prime Table restaurant. It's a locally owned, family-friendly restaurant that has been around for awhile. It immediately reminded me of Nick's Patio in South Bend. They have a large menu of brunch, lunch and dinner entrees. My friend ordered the Chicago style club sandwich which was massive...she managed to eat a 1/4 of it and took the rest home. I ordered one of the daily specials which was a turkey reuben. The sandwich was good, but I was thankful they had the sauce on the side. It was supposed to be a traditional Thousand Island dressing, but this was a neon pink color! I'm not quite sure how in the world they were able to come up with the color and I'm a little sorry I didn't get a picture of it. Both Sandwiches were served with a side of steak fries, which were good. Nothing fancy about this place, but friendly and attentive service and decent, inexpensive food. read more

Until a couple of weeks ago, this would have been 5 stars. We have come here for years and our favorite dish is the meatloaf. For the past two weeks though it hasn't been like it was. Very off-putting texture and color -- flavor is somewhat similar but something has definitely changed. Our other favorite is the spaghetti so we will try that and see if it's the same. Won't be getting the meatloaf again. Too bad because it was the best around. read more

I came here for lunch with the family, and ordered an omelette. I forget what it was called, but it had spinach, tomatoes, onions, and feta cheese. It came with buttered bread, which I selected sourdough from their lengthy list of possible breads, and a generous portion of hash browns. The eggs were cooked medium well and the feta was delicious folded in the middle of the omelette. The potatoes were crisped well at some places and nice and chewy at others, making for a great balance of textures. I didn't realize that there was butter between the two pieces of toast at first, and so I accidentally got butter all over my hands eating the first slice. On the table they had some hot sauce that I poured generously on a side of my plate to dip the eggs and hash browns in, as the hash browns weren't seasoned very much (or perhaps I just need more salt on my food than is healthy). Overall, a generous portion size and great quality for the price! read more

Lemon chicken special dinner was excellent, tender meat not overcooked. Tasty rice, green beans and dinner salad. The tiny clear plastic lip shields worn by some of the staff and the manager were obviously not functional and filter nothing. Those should go and should not be permitted. Regular masks that cover the nose and filter breath are far more reassuring. read more

I have been wanting to try this for a while now. Every time I go to the meat market there I tell myself how I want to go to this restaurant. And hearing it on the radio station made me want to try even more. Got the open faced turkey. It was OK. Nothing to call Home about. And I probably won't order it again. The waitress was really nice. This restaurant gave my husband and I one of the worst meals we have ever had the displeasure of eating. First off the atmosphere is severely lacking. What decor there is brings to mind a good will from the 70s. I wouldn't mind the setting so much if the food was good, which was not the case. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan which came out with overcooked noodles, a piece of chicken that was as hard and dry as a hockey puck, and sauce that very much resembled ketchup. I ordered the chicken and shrimp scampi. My chicken was also hockey puck hard and the shrimp was so overcooked it was hard to chew. The sides were bland. I've always liked Prime table, and it's been a go to restaurant for my family and I. The decor at Prime table is very dated and looks early 80's ish but it's a cozy restaurant. They serve American comfort food and Greek style food, and some of the American food they serve has a Greek spin with the flavors and seasonings. One of my favorite dishes there is their skirt steak with the Greek seasonings they use. Yum. Also I like the desert selection they have with all of their cakes and pies on display. Cute! Overall Prime table isn't a fancy restaurant but it's cute, cozy, and a nice place for families to dine eat comfort food and have good time. I always enjoy their food and Prime table will probably remain a family go to place for me and my family. read more

This is one of the best restaurant experiences I've had since Covid. It is an old school family style restaurant. It was immaculately clean the waiters were all very professional and very friendly. Been coming here for over 20 years. They serve consistently good food with large portions. Went out of their way during the pandemic, letting you order online and walking it out to your car. I had the meatloaf "special". The meatloaf was GREY! It looked as though it had been re-heated in a microwave. It was just a slab of mystery meat with no discernible onion, green pepper, bread crumbs- it was just a slab of grey meat material. It was not very good. I ate about half of it (because I was hungry-and I had to pay for it anyway). When I paid my bill the hostess asked "How was everything?" I told her and she said "Oh, well we could have made you something else- OUR MEATLOAF IS ALWAYS GREY!" Later that evening it was an ugly scene on the toilet as I flushed the remains of that meatloaf straight to Hell. read more

We took an out-of-town friend here Saturday night. Everything about the Prime Table is top notch; a very nice decent interior but nice and cozy. At such a busy time, (6:30 PM), we were seated right away after being greeted by several of the staff. The manager and others, including our waitress, checked with us many times to see if we needed anything. I ordered the fried chicken dinner, my wife ordered the shrimp stir fry, and our friend ordered the pork chops. They brought our salads right away, which were fresh and very good, (they also had a wide selection of salad dressings). When I saw how good my friends pork chops were, two big chops and about 3/4" thick, I wished that I had ordered them too. He ate everything but the bones, but my chicken was also very tasty with a big baked potato. My wife's stir fry looked very good also and she said it was fine-no other comments about that. Our waitress was very patient and concerned for our needs, while being overly friendly too. All in all, I felt like I was in a very upscale restaurant with prices I can afford. We ate for a little over $15 apiece. One more thing, as busy as they were, the noise level was low enough that we could talk without having to shout to hear each other. When visiting my dad in Michigan last year, (we're currently in Arkansas), he took us to Prime Table for breakfast one morning. After one meal I was hooked and after a weeks stay we ate there at least 5 out of seven days. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and were never let down. Portions were great, food was excellent, but most noteworthy was the staff. Everyone at the restaurant was happy, friendly and accommodating. My wife has food allergies and the folks at Prime Table were very attentive to her needs. We are already planning a trip back up to see Dad and plan to eat here again!
