I retained Valley Insulation to fix the issues, because I sensed honesty and experience from Cassidy. Any time you hire these contractors, you take a risk. Valley's crew spent eight hours repairing my crawlspace. Afterward, and before paying, I had the crawlspace re-inspected. The inspector, Bruce T of Leupitz, known for his thoroughness, was impressed, commenting that all issues had been addressed by Valley's crew: "They did a really good job."

When they returned to complete the job, the owner kept making statements about me updating the review to 5 stars in exchange for coming back and completing the original job. Read the 4 star review on here, as it was the same with that person as it was with us. Just like everyone elses negative reviews the Groupon is a bait and switch. They came to our house told us everything was very dirty and that everything will need to be brushed no vacuumd so our Groupon was worthless. $450 for a half done job(see pictures of AFTER the original work was done). We requested a detailed invoice of the service and when we didn't receive it I called to find out what the delay was. The person I spoke to just kept reiterating the same thing over and over. How dirty everything was and how they cleaned it and I was to prove to him where it was still dirty. Mind you he was looking at this very same review while on the phone. The last red flag that is they only take venmo AND it goes to a private individual under the name Marlene Gomez Perez. Please do not use this company.

They were easy to communicate with, fast and handled all the rebate paperwork so I didn't have to. Our 2000sf house was built in the the 50's-prior blown in insulation was between 4-7" depending on where you measured in attic. I'm the Summers, our house was an oven, Winters an icebox. No central heating: just cadet wall heaters (all new). Although we try to be as conservative as possible with heating, our electric bill jumps to about $400/month when it gets cold. (We even have new windows/doors.) The insulation was blown in on the 10th, day or so after was that first really cold day:outside thermometer said 36*F when I woke up. Went to the living room/kitchen, no heat on all night. Absolute noticeable difference: it wasn't toasty, but usually if is 36 outside, with no heat on inside, the interior temp might be 45 on a good day. Already, the interior temperature is remaining much more consistent and we are running the heat way less. We had to have a few extras done, to meet codes, but even with that, after rebates our total was just over $2600. Considering how much costs for everything have gone up, I imagine it would have been way less if I would have done this 3 years ago when I first started thinking about it. I don't know how their prices compare to others, I just wanted it done asap so I didn't shop around like I usually do. However, I'm very happy with the price, the company and the results so far. REALLY looking forward to seeing next month's bill!

My basement had flooded due to a burst water main, and I was suspicious of some of the charges listed on the mitigation invoice. After seeing Derick's offer to help another Redditor, I immediately reached out to him. Derick meticulously reviewed the invoice with me over Google Meet (we're in different states), and he identified line items where I was being double- and in some places, triple-charged. His knowledge of flood mitigation services was evident from his initial estimate of what my sq ft cleanup would typically cost for the flood category, and throughout our discussion of line items. The invoice took about an hour to go over, and Derick promptly answered all of my follow-up texts with questions. I knew there was something not right about the bill, but I didn't understand the extent to which I was being overcharged. Derick not only identified billing "errors" but he also took the time to explain the nuances of the charges, ensuring I had a clear understanding of the services. Derick was professional, approachable, and genuinely committed to making sure I had enough information and understood what I was talking about to refute invoice items. I highly recommend Restoration Compass to anyone facing a flood situation and feeling confused by the necessity and/or cost of professional mitigation services. If I had known a service like Derick's existed, and what I would be getting from a consultation, I would have called Derick before calling my insurance company, and most certainly before calling a mitigation company. We received the estimate per email a couple days later and unlike other companies, no pressure was put on us to approve the job right away - instead we were given as long as we needed to discuss and ponder. As soon as we approved the estimate, we were contacted so we could get on the schedule. Somehow Edgar and Juan asked and also answered all the questions at the very beginning and we were able to do other things while they did these 2 jobs like the true professionals they are. They started by taping everything in the room with the closet, and it kept everything so clean! (Although they did clean up after - and left the place tidier than it started haha - not even kidding they cleaned our doormat I forgot to clean prior to their arrival!) I called on a Tuesday, and they were able to fit me within two weeks. The office staff clearly explained the pricing structure (which was fixed based on the size of the house, with optional add-ons like dryer vent cleaning) and sent a confirmation text the day before. The technicians, Andreas & Cody, called me 50 minutes before arrival, right arrived pretty close to the promised time. I knew there was construction down the street so I figured they would be delayed due to stopped traffic. The two arrived in a well-marked truck and was immediately professional. They took time to explain the negative pressure vacuum system they use, which involved hooking up a large hose to the main duct trunk near the furnace. They wore boot covers inside the house, which I appreciated. The cleaning itself involved systematically sealing off all registers and then using powerful air whips into each vent to agitate and loosen all the debris. They showed me the incredible amount of dirt, dust, and junk they removed from the main trunk--it was genuinely shocking and visually compelling. When finished with the vents they took on the dryer. The lint cleaned out of the vent and the filter was surprising. I expect the drying cycles will be quicker with a clean system. The entire process took approximately 5 hours. Once finished, they sealed up the access holes they created cleanly. There were only two rooms where they forgot to move furniture back in place. The immediate difference was significant: the air in the house feels fresher and less "stuffy," and the HVAC system runs noticeably quieter. I am confident that the removal of years of dust and allergens will benefit our household, especially during allergy season. Better Air Northwest delivered exactly what they promised: professional service, clear communication, and excellent results. I highly recommend them if you are looking to improve your indoor air quality.

Tiffany from their front office was so nice when confirming the appointment and gathering the relevant info. Something they also did which was super nice was calling us ahead of time to let us know when the techs were dispatched so we knew about when to expect them (and they showed up in the 2 hour time frame we asked for). When they got here, they were very polite offering to take their shoes off, explaining what they would be doing and how long the labor would take. After they finished they explained the warranty, how to get the most out of the life of our disposal, gave a business card, and basically assured us of every question we could have possibly had. After a string of bad luck with plumbers this experience has me feeling good again!
