That set the tone for dentists for me. I had only negative experiences up to this point. So I just quit going. And 7 years had passed since I'd seen a dentist. But I for some reason decided to go for it and get a dental cleaning. So I made an appointment. And I was petrified. And I was even more petrified when he told me I had two cavities and I needed to be numbed to have a deep cleaning. But every single person in that office, from the office staff, to the X-ray techs, the hygienists and assistants...were so kind. The doctor specifically, Dr. G, eased my mind and did this thing to my cheek while he was giving me the numbing shots that distracted me so much I didn't even feel the shots. This was the best experience I've ever had at a dentist and will definitely be back to see them for regular cleanings from here on out. Thanks for making me feel comfortable & confident going to the dentist for the first time in my life.

They are DESPERATE for money. Asked them to not bill my old jobs insurance and that I have ahcccs now and they billed it anyway just because ahcccs denied ONE out of two teeth. Granted, the old jobs insurance was still active even though I told them I don't want them to use it since I submitted an appeal with ahcccs to get it covered. I just received both letters from both insurances today & that's how I found out. I even went out of my way and called ahcccs prior to getting my teeth pulled and they said it would be covered with the $1,000 emergency dental. That's why we ended up doing the extractions because I told them I had no money to pay it. Otherwise, I would have rescheduled. They kept trying to keep having me back but why would I when they don't listen or do their job with the insurance or send meds when you NEED them. I had to call all the time just to finally get antibiotics a week later after realizing how bad the infection was regardless if the xray didn't show it. I referred a coworker there and they wanted her to do it there too even though she needs to be put under. They don't offer laughing gas either. They wanted to do her implants even though she needs an oral surgeon. Anything so they get to bill you instead of another office. UPDATE: AHCCCS did cover it the first time hence why the appeal was denied because they lied about that too. I should've known they were money hungry when they wouldn't even try to get the PA approved through AHCCCS & I had to call them. All cuz they just wanted me to pay out of pocket.

Again, after my consultation, I was waiting for the office staff to come speak with me about the cost of cleaning. Yes, I have to go back a second time to complete the cleaning, which is frustrating and inconvenient, but it could be worse. Yes, I was asked to put a deposit down for the cleaning, but I am sure this is because many people do not follow through. Again, it might be a minor inconvenience, but knowing I have the appointment is worth it, and they know I will be there. Great location easy to get in and out of the complex. I also have to say that several other patients were established that had a quick turnover compared to my initial visit, so I would say that overall, once you get past the initial visit, things will change within the office in the time you were there.

Mind you, I have never even verbally interacted with her at all. From my initial appointment to the last time I was there on the 17th of June she has given me bad vibes and I am already fearful of the dentist from having a bad experience with braces. She literally kept looking back at me from her seat behind the welcome desk and sneering. I have no idea what her issue with me is and I put in my headphones to try and tune out the conversation she was having about me with another staff member. I'm not sure if it's my skin color (I am an African American woman), or what issue this person has but I am going to request my medical records and find a dental office that has staff who have positive and upbeat attitudes and don't sneer at or disrespect paying customers and patients. The dentist who works here Dr. Annas is very nice and listens to my issues (have been having problems with food getting stuck and he had helped me prevent more cavities and fixed my fillings). Despite this, I am not going to continue to give my money, time, or energy to a location whose staff clearly does not want me to be there. If this is your standard of care, you all really need to reevaluate who you have interacting with patients. It takes effort and energy to be mean and nasty to people. Judging by the previous reviews of rude staff members at this location, I see this continues to be a common issue.
