I saw a review of Primo's Deli on a Facebook page and decided to come check them out! They just opened two and a half months ago and I just thought that since there isn't a lot of deli spots around SJ, Primo's sounds good for lunch! I ended up ordering there Reuben sandwich with their Dutch Roll! I never knew pastrami tasted really great with 1000 Island sauce! From the wonderful customer service shown through Rita and her husband to the delicious sandwich, I for sure rate this spot a 11/10! For sure you will not be disappointed! *Also, if you notice a one star review posted by that J.J dude, please consider check this place out because my experience was totally the opposite. Also if you notice, this person has a tendency to post bad reviews about other places as well.*

Ruben was juicy and tasted awesome

COME ON !!!! Everyone this little hole in the wall deli is the bomb. My Ruben was delicious juicy and top quality. Nice tables inside and out side too. I pulled in at 12.30 on a Wednesday and I was the only one. You gotta come try this hidden gem I definitely recommend it. You have to "Support Apoyo these familia business"

Love this place. I have been here 3 times since their opening maybe a month or so ago. The ingredients are always fresh and tasty. My favorite sandwich so far is the #10. I have always wished we could get a worthy sandwich place on the East Side for the 8 years I have been here. Definitely worth a try!

I found this place right after a long day's work. I didn't want any fast fattening food so I looked up "deli near me" and to my surprise, it was almost a 20-minute commute from my location. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. I browsed their menu and shortly after decided on the Primo hot sandwich. The chicken, bacon, avocado, and all of the side combinations with their melted cheese were worth fasting for lunch and choosing to eat here for dinner. It was a hearty sandwich but I wanted more. Went with something I can eat later and the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. So I went with the Cold Cut. If you have the opportunity visit this place. Great options and welcoming owner. ALEX and his wife were easy to talk with. Best of luck

Had a #3 on Saturday. Toasted Dutch crunch, Fresh everything, slightly melted cheese, just the right amount of Mayo and mustard, felt like that sandwich was made with love. So good.

These were the literally the best sandwiches I've tasted ever. Everything was fresh and had the best soft crunch to the bread. The inside of the place is still coming together, but I can't wait to see how it turns out. Tri Tip Sandwich Friday next!

Sooo good! I'm happy there is a new spot like this in my neighborhood! I've tried the number 1 and the number 9, both were delicious! They were saucy, flavorful and messy! Just the way I like my sandwiches. 2 sandwiches set me back $25, but it was worth it. I really hope they do well and succeed here.

New mom'n'pop sandwich spot on the east side. Sandwiches options are plentiful and the final product was delicious. Bread was fresh, the meat was full of flavor. Will be back and recommend, pretty soon there will be a line at lunch time.

If you're craving a sandwich, go here ! I came here hungry for a sandwich, and ended up getting El Cuema Cuh with everything and Dutch bread. It had a funny name and I didn't expect much but damn it was delicious. Best sandwich I've had in San Jose. Their service is also exceptional and they're super nice.

My pictures honestly do not do the food justice ! If you are a sandwich connoisseur go check this place out ! I've tried two sandwiches so far and it's kinda now my mission to try them all lol ! They know what they are doing when it comes to flavor combinations! I've tried el primo and the comet

We liked that they removed a lot of the breading inside. The meats and condiments also did not disappoint. The quality of the sandwiches were by far the best I've never had. Nothing to brag about, don't let the sando sit around. Make sure you finish it all at once or it will get soggy... may be its because of the oil and vinegar dressing I opted for? Not sure... The wheat bread is a tad too sweet for my liking and the white bread is just plain and flavorless. I do wish they provided options like Sourdough or Dutch Crunch, which also happen to be healthier for you. I wanted to complain that they were expensive but then realized that's how it is everywhere now. That food inflation is no joke... I'd stop by if nothing was around. It's been lacking some logistics and sometimes, it's difficult to hear the order being called out while lots of customers are inside. I told the front staffs that I wanted my portobello chicken sandwich $15.99 and the watermelon beverage $7.99 for here/dine-in. I even left them over $3.50 tips here. While everyone else picked up their orders very fast, mine was stuck somewhere in between others. They all got table numbers except me. I even asked if I needed a table number since I was planning to dine-in, but nobody answered or wanted to respond. They were too busy preparing sandwiches. Wait time to receive order was a bit over 15 minutes. I ended up standing around waiting and waiting, thinking about why I even tipped the place when my anxiety levels were escalating. Without a table number, how would they even know which table outside to deliver my orders to? Portobello chicken sandwich was very good though. Ingredients are full. Ciabatta bread was huge. This thick sandwich can definitely feed two people. Watermelon beverage tasted good too. Tables weren't all wiped down outside, but I can see the few employees hustling and bustling. It's still a strange feeling to not have a table number assigned to me while others did have one. Overall, sandwiches are still good and portions are generous. People love coming here. I went here after a YouTube video I saw ON ACCIDENT. My Youtube was autoplaying videos on the TV,…read moreand I saw this place and thought "Man, I wish we had a place like this in San Jose." Then I realized the video was highlighting the best food spots in San Jose! I live in West SJ and it's a 20 minute drive to Antipasto, but I didn't mind, I had to find out for myself. I hurried up and went there immediately, only to realize they were closed on Mondays. My mistake, I actually went online to check their schedule, and got into the menu a bit too passionately, that I forgot to actually check their hours. So I went back on Wednesday, and decided to double check that they were actually open this time. Upon walking in, I was a little intimidated to be honest. Everybody looked like a regular, while I walked around like a headless chicken trying to figure out which side of the store to go to. Nick noticed that, and went out of his way from behind the counter to guide me and my wife. He let us know where to go for sandwiches, the butcher, raviolis, etc... Me and my wife got the lasagna dinner with 2 meatballs, and TBC beef ravioli W/ salads. It was love at first bite. This place was better than all the Italian places in San Jose, without a doubt. Yes, I'm talking to you Original Joes and Maggiannos. All throughout our meal, we noticed people chatting with Nick and the rest of the staff as if they were family. Who knows they might be! Nick continued to include us by talking to us and making us feel welcomed. We are fans for life! Great food, great service, what else can you ask for? I just can't believe I never knew about this place after living in San Jose for 30 years.

i use to grab lunch here when i worked around the corner years ago. never thought too much about…read moretheir food but everyone just speaks so highly about this place. after so many years i came back to try their steak sandwich, tri-tip sandwich, meatball sandwich, and beef ravioli with meat sauce. my firsts visit, i ordered the tri-tip sandwich and it was decent. meat was dry and drenched in bbq sauce. i think thats the only flavor you taste. the second time, i got the steak sandwich. their steak sandwich was the blandest sandwich i've ever had. didn't even seem like they threw on salt and pepper. i did not enjoy this whatsoever. i honestly just took the steak out of the sandwich and dipped it in A1 sauce. threw away the bread, lettuce, and tomato because it was all so soggy. it took me a while to return, and when i finally did ... i ordered a meatball sandwich and the beef ravioli with meat sauce. the beef ravioli was ok imo. strange how people are saying it's the best ravioli ever. the meatball sandwich too was ok. i did love the cheese pull when i took the first half to eat. i can see why there are plenty of reviews saying that their food is on the bland side because i definitely agree. it's honestly not worth the cost and yes, everyone there is not the nicest. you'll most likely deal with someone rude there than someone nice. after trying different foods each time, i think ive given them enough chances. no need to go back for ok food and rude service. i'll take my hard earned money elsewhere.
