The subs are great here. I do love the food.. but on mothers day. A sunday, when they close at 7pm, i called at 6:20 to make an order. It rang and rang so i figured they were busy, so i drove to the store. There was a handwritten sign that said they were closing early due to mothers day I understand that. I wanted to write to thank you for the great experience I had recently. I placed an order to try the Crusher and I loved it! The combination of the Cooper Sharp and turkey was especially tasty but the roll made the whole meal! It was so fresh. My lunch was so much better than I had expected. after spending 2 weeks in japan...12 hours traveling back to the states...my head full of all the wondrous places i had been....my body not sure what day or time or country it was, i wasn't exactly hungry. knowing i had to eat *something*, when the boy asked me what i wanted, i answered "a hoagie." lucky for me, a new primo hoagies franchise just opened up in havertown! not being a meat-eater, primo's doesn't exactly have the widest variety* for me, but that's no matter when there was only one sammie i had in mind that day: the milano. they advertise fresh mozzarella, and it's been fresh every time i've gotten it - piled on along with roasted red peppers. i often ask them to add on some broccoli rabe for a little kick and diversity, but kept it simple this last time. once, i foolishly ordered a small, not paying attention to the wall display which shows that the small roll is not the crusty, seedy goodness you get with the primo (or whole) size. this time, like all others since, i wisely selected the primo, even tho i knew i didn't stand a chance of finishing it in one sitting. somehow, i went from having zero appetite to cherishing every last bite of that half of a milano. and when i went back in the fridge hours later for the second half, the roll wasn't soggy - gotta love good bread. the boy was pleased with his turkey hoagie (also a primo) and we shared a massive, and tasty, whole pickle, which he kindly de-seeded for me as i have bizarre seed issues that i shouldn't be blabbing about in a public review, yet here i am doing it anyway. he also picked us up a small potato salad which was a bit too mayonnaisey for our liking. * note that primo does have a few additional veg hoagie options (tho 2 of the ones listed under 'meatless delights' contain fish) as well as a decent selection of veggie sides. $25 delivery minimum to limited area. read more

The workers here always act as if you are an inconvenience. Poor attitude. They always screw up my order. They no longer deliver and when they did it was whenever they felt like it. The last sandwich I had there was screwed up and was awful. A cut above hoagies is worth the ten minute drive for me. read more

Again tried to get something there, always some excuse as to why they have to close early. Food could be wonderful, but that is me done. It is not worth the effort. Ordered a RB Schwartzie came home w a turkey. Not the first time that they have messed up an order. They never seem friendly here either. When on point, Primo can put together a nice sandwich. Sad to say as I love primos hoagies, but I will never go back there. Ever. I don't want to be too harsh but the cashier who takes the orders is terrible. She's rude, has a major attitude and just acts like the customers are such inconveniences. One example is a gentleman who was waiting for his hoagie, asked her the wifi password. She looked at him like he was an idiot and said "what? U wanna know the wifi password? I don't know." How could she not know when they advertise "free wifi here". I could go on and on. If you're Italian don't give this place a penny. They think their slick because most people in this area aren't Italian but Irish. I ordered a Sharp Italian, that comes w/prosciutto. Because many people don't look at their sandwiches when they get home, I always do. And since the Prosciutto is an expensive meat, I was shocked and amazed they gave me a quarter of a slice prosciutto. Instead of taking it back to them, I will never eat here again, and I will continue to spread the word of this establishment to all locals never to go here. They thought there were slick and that people won't pick up on it, and maybe their right most of the time, because people in this area don't know what quality is or what good food is. I stopped in this location expecting the Primos experience like some of the other locations. I was definitely disappointed. Ordered a small sharp Italian. I got a tiny 5 inch sandwich on a roll that was at least two or three days old. Side of pickles. There were two tiny slices. With a bag of chips I paid over $8. My husband is a regular customer at this location. He buys a sandwich daily! He says that the women working in the store, who know him by his first name, are very friendly and helpful. He's even had to return a sandwich because it was made incorrectly, yet he established a positive rapport with them as a loyal customer. However, the owner or manager, not sure which, makes condescending and backhanded remarks towards him when he comes into the store. My husband is extremely polite, and has tried to ignore the comments, but today he crossed the line. The comment was too rude to post, and in my husband's opinion, it could be interpreted as racist!! We will NEVER purchase another sandwich from this location. You can keep your Halloween jokes AND your veggie diablos to yourself!! There are Primos Hoagies in abundance in this area, and we'll give our business to another location. read more

This may be the worst Primos location in existence- we love the sandwiches but unfortunately this is our closest location. We stopped going for about 4 months because every time we ordered the order slip is correct but at least one sandwich is messed up. Tonight it was my wife's turn - Bit T with Mayo, lettuce, tomato - no pepper -no oregano- JUST LIKE IT SAYS ON THE ORDER SLIP THE STORE ATTACHED TO THE RECEIPT- sandwich came with no mayo but did have oregano and pepper. It is always at least one of the 3 sandwiches that is messed up. Just read the order and follow directions. At $10 a sandwich is that really too much to ask. read more

They will know exactly who I am as I just spoke with them on the phone and honestly I don't care. They have gotten my order wrong two times in the past few weeks. Both times I am at home and I get some unrepentant person on the phone who rudely tells me to bring my sandwich back in and they'll swap it out. Excuse me? Why should I be inconvenienced like that because YOU screwed up? I'd have taken a simple "Sorry" but instead I get rude and condescending because somehow it's MY fault YOU screwed up. I'm done with you and I'll take my business to the hundreds of other places around here that will provide a modicum of customer service. Yesterday I received a text message about $5.99 hoagies for customer appreciation day. Started trying to call around 5:30pm and each time the phone was either busy or I got a message saying the call couldn't be completed. So I decided to drive there and place my order in person. I figured they were just busy because of the 5.99 deal. I was wrong-- they had closed early and posted a handwritten sign on the door, while several employees stood around inside. I watched another customer storm out looking very angry. So much for appreciating your customers! Will never order hoagies from here again. read more

I have been to this location twice and they got my order wrong both times. The staff was no help and gave me attitude about THEIR mistake. I had the opportunity to speak to the manager/owner and it became apparent that the employees take on the culture set by their manager who was equally dismissive of the repeated issue and unhelpful. I love Primos, just not this store. The Havertown store gives the absolute worst customer service ever. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I came in the store, every one was just sitting around talking and snickering. They wouldn't wait on me. I had to wait for someone else to come out to take my order. The man that came in after me was greeted with a warm "Hello" and waited on immediately. When it was time for me to pay, the person who worked so hard to ignore me had to ring me up and she looked disgusted. I asked to see the manager. He offered several excuses as to why I wasn't waited serviced, all of them lame. I told him that I was seriously debating not taking the sandwich because of the incredibly poor service but, I opted to take it anyway. Huge mistake. The sandwich was awful and I suspect that they were using unclean utensils, as my Italian Hoagie had pesto in it. Bottom line, if you don't look like the others in the store, you will be ignored. read more

Hoagies are always fresh. Bread is always fresh. They always put just enough cold cuts & cheese on your hoagie. The sandwiches are nothing more but fulfilling! They also make pretty darn good cheesesteaks also! Huge ones that can feed a whole family. A nice full of meat and cheese juicy steak! Definitely worth a visit!! read more

I have to agree with Ray. The few times I've been to Primo's it's been this location and never experienced an attitude problem from anyone working there. However, we usually order in advance, then go and pick it up to bring home, so we are not actually in the store for that long. I'm usually a turkey and cheese hoagie kind of girl but the vegetarian hoagies are so amazingly good (we actually almost got in a fight over who gets the last one lol). I don't know how they make them or what they do to them but I'll pick them over the meat ones every time. They are quite expensive for hoagies, if you ask me, but it's worth every bite. read more

I love the sandwiches here even if they are expensive. They use nice hard rolls which is a nice change from the soft hoagie rolls everywhere else uses. Though I agree with everyone else, the counter service isn't the most friendly. In my experience the girl behind the counter was efficient and knew what she was doing just not friendly and clearly just wanted to get you out and get out of there. But they've never messed up my order and the hoagies have been consistently good so I don't much care about a surly teenage cashier. read more

I called the Havertown, PA, Primo store to place an order for pick up on Monday 6/8/2020. I told the person on the phone I had received a text from the Prospect Park store which offered a buy 1 primo size hoagie & get one free for my birthday. I asked if the offer could be used at their store & was told yes. When I went to pick up order I noticed 3 people with the mask pulled down off their face ( 2 girls,1 man) . I asked the young women who was cashing me out if they were required to wear masks in their store. She said yes & asked the other girl cashing out a customer to pull her mask up which she did. The man & one girl had already pulled mask up. I asked if employees were wearing the mask as they make sandwiches & was told yes, but I did see masks down on the chin. When cashing out I began to talk to the cashier telling her I'm in healthcare & at that moment she cut me off & said if I had a problem with the other cashier not wearing a mask I was to tell her myself and she abruptly stormed off to the back of the store. I stood there stunned! I asked for someone to get her back up front so she could tell me again what she just said. The other cashier told me she heard her & repeated what she just said to me. Again, I was stunned. I asked for manager & I told her that customers should not be spoken to with such tone & attitude. Totally unacceptable!!!!! Completely disgusted with this store!!!! I told them I wanted wanted to use the birthday buy 1 get 1 offer for my order. I checked receipt when I got home & they didn't apply offer. So, after spending $28.58 & being treated like shite, & not having a birthday offer honored I will never go to this location again!! Also, a Big Issue is that some employees are not keeping their masks on when they are making your food & cashing you out!! No Excuses Are Acceptable!!! I wear a mask & a shield a minimum of 10 hours a day!!! I'd give this store a zero but it wasn't an option!! read more

I actually joined yelp because I wanted to give a positive review! Whatever has happened to improve this establishments customer service, I want to applaud, and ask them to keep up the good work! Quality of food has always been excellent, but getting orders correct and lack of willingness to correct was always a serious issue.
