Finally a decent place to get a hoagie! Many of the local pizza & sub shops bake their pizza dough into rolls and it just doesn't comparable to a fresh baked roll. The hoagies are meaty and filling! Quality ingredients and very fresh. I opted for a no seed roll and glad I did. My husband found the sesame seeds to be over powering preventing him from tasting the flavor of the turkey. As I read the other reviews, I had to smile. It's interesting how some like one thing, but someone else doesn't like that thing. Our takes and expectations are different. Personally, I feel Primo makes an excellent hoagie - though, I do get the same one each time. Yeah, I know I should venture, but why - when this is near to perfection. I was offered by a female worker, a job, and I had filled out applications for this place. I'm 16 and I have my working papers. My dad knows the evening workers, so he figured it'll help benefit me being that I was gonna graduate Junior year. I ended walking to the place, asking out of curiosity, and I was still told the same thing by the same guy, saying it was gonna take a while, yet they were "urgently hiring." I checked out Primo's in November and was disappointed in the product. Almost $9.00 for a small Italian sub is crazy! For that price, I expect a loaded sandwich, which it was not. The sharp Italian Primo, while good, was also not worth $12.99. I can get the same or better for less elsewhere and will likely not be back for awhile. Primo Hoagies continues to exist in the same location it has for the past few years. Recently this location had a change of ownership. The hoagies crafted here are as delicious as they always been. Their menu is pretty large with numerous varieties of hoagies. They do have a rewards program where you earn points that you can redeem for sandwiches. All you need to do is give the cashier your phone number to register and also when chevking out to earn your points. One thing I have always loved about the hoagies made here is the bread, a sesame seeded hard Italian roll, which is the perfect vehicle to deliver goodness to your belly. Service is always friendly in my experience here. Lately, I have been receiving text messahes on Wednesdays and Sundays offering discounts on sandwiches. I struggled with how many stars before posting and settled on 3. From a straight hoagie perspective, I would likely have given a four. Good meat to veggie proportions , taste was very good, the "hard" roll (as a hoagie should have) was also good. Unfortunately, I had to lower it due to service issues. As others have noted, there is a bit of a wait. I'm accustomed to this now as everywhere is short staffed. What wasn't ok with me is that two customers who ordered multiple hoagies to go AFTER my wife and I ordered two to eat in received their orders before we got ours. Neither of ours were hot hoagies, just Italians so nothing had to be cooked. Please complete orders in the order they were received. On June 4, 2022, I found a long black hair stuck in my 2nd bite of my Phila cheesesteak hoagie. (my hair is brown and silver, and every bit of it was gathered in a tight ponytail). I tried calling the Fruitville Pike location, where it was made, 3 times, but no one answered the phone and I received a "voicemail box is full" message each time. The only silver lining is that this happened to me, and not in the large party tray we were about to order for an upcoming reunion my husband and I are hosting at our home. Even though my sandwich was tasty, I cannot recommend Primo, until or unless they start wearing hair nets. With so many other options in town, we will purchase our large party tray elsewhere. UPDATE: I returned to the store to find they have a manager from another, successful, store working hard to improve the Fruitville Pike location. This manager offered me a heartfelt apology, a full refund or another sandwich. I appreciated his sincerity and look forward to giving them another try in the future. Fresh ingredients including meat sliced right when you order it, fresh rolls, and the sandwiches are stuffed to the brim. I usually go with my usual Italian, which they do perfectly. There is so much meat and cheese in this sandwich, but it all stays in the roll and is not messy. The toppings are just right. I usually eat my sandwich at the location. This location is conveniently located next to a few other good food spots. I have eaten lunch here quite a bit and enjoyed coming back because of the quality and freshness of their hoagies. I do not have any complaints with this restaurant, and I will continue to come back. I can tell the Workers get a little frustrated, and at times it looks like they are missing supervision. I just picked up some food here tonight. I placed an online order and when I went to leave, I noticed the bag was really light. I realized they had forgotten to include the sides and drink I'd ordered, so I had to read off the list to them while the guy went around and collected them.
