I ordered a Primo size hoagie and was really disappointed. I picked it up at 6:30 PM and the roll was harder than usual. Primo rolls are usually great firm, seeded roll, but this was boarder line stale. I called to give feedback, and was told they had an issue with the rolls being overdone the day before. Unfortunately, it's a second time this is happened to us while ordering hoagies. The rolls were ridiculously stale. I go to Primos for their delicious rolls and have been disappointed by the quality of the roles the past couple times I can't see myself going back. It's really disappointing. You shouldn't have to put your hoagie in the microwave to soften the roll up. We usually order from the Chalfont location and they always do a great job. This Lansdale location is right by my husband's work so we decided to give them a try. We will prioritize getting sandwiches from the farther location from now on. We got 2 whole sandwiches which are pretty expensive and there was barely anything on it. Wish I could give ZERO stars. How is this place even open? I ordered online. Went in at my scheduled pick up time and the order wasn't even done. Two other customers in front of me. One waiting to place an order, who eventually walked out, and a couple just finishing up their order and leaving. When the older gentleman approached me, I told him my name for the order. He explained to me that they only had one of the three cookies I ordered and asked if I didn't mind waiting. I said ok. In the meantime he went and picked my cold items and my chips, which he was confused by the size of the chips and had to go back 3 times to verify. Then when he was done he handed me my bag, Now mind you, I ordered a whole custom with extra meat. When I looked in my bag I pulled out what was about the size of a Wawa classic. I said to the guy, is this a whole. He asked for my slip and looked it over, for what I can assume was the 20th time and proceeded to make the other half of my sandwich. Remember I said I was waiting for cookies, 30 minutes later they were finally done. I was so frustrated. Finally I got home and sat down to eat my hoagie and to my disappointment, it doesn't seem like the extra meat was in there, Awesome! The sharp provolone was more like crumbles than slices and the bread was a little tough. The flavor was good, but the structure for the price was not. Fast forward to me finishing the thing and looking over my slip and realizing, I was only given a half pound container of rice pudding instead of the pound I paid for, Fantastic! On the bright side, the place looked nice and clean, but I guess that's what happens when you run all your customers away. You live and you learn I suppose. Primo's Harleysville PA USED TO be the best in Italian Hoagies. In my opinion, based on my personal purchases only, Primo's went down hill. The rolls are still the best. But, 11+ for 3 paper thin slices of meat. They claim they include Proscuitto too. Seriously ! Extremely disappointing and overpriced. The Company's response below shows they are even more deceptive and cynical than I originally thought. The Company requires me to post this complaint on a "Feedback" form on-it's website for a resolution. However, It WILL NOT PROCESS MY SUBMISSION WITHOUT THE SALES RECEIPT OR NUMBER. I happily ordered a $135 hoagie tray in person on Friday and paid for it in advance in person in CASH so I could run in on Sunday and pick it up I had my grandson and little nephews coming to a pumpkin decorating party at 1pm at my house This day was a literal nightmare.I don't have enough words to describe what went on in their shop today. When I got in to pick up my tray I was told by the manager I didn't pay for it . I gave his the " future order" rcpt that was given to me and he said that doesn't prove I paid for anything. I don't have another $135 laying around. I went through my step-by-step with him so that he would understand that I had paid for it. He didn't budge. HE EVEN SAID HE REMEMBERED ME COMING IN AND SAID HE WAS SURE I DIDNT PAY. Horror set it. The party was starting at 1 o'clock. I stopped by to pick up my order at 10:30. An hour and a half later I begged and pleaded and tried to make sense but f it . The self proclaimed manager would make no iContact with me , told me he was going to put me out of the store if I continued. and claimed he was on the phone with the owner (while he giggled and smiled ) during his 30 minute call. I think he felt if he ignored me I would go away. Customers came in and out and couldn't understand why I was there crying. I live nearby I've been a customer on and off for 12 years. My son-in-law offered to pay AGAIN but I said I would not pay twice OVER MY DEAD BODY and this was unfair. It was a freaking tray of hoagies. I have taken out from this location before and always had a good experience with the food. They charge a premium price for their product and it usually backs up the cost. Recently got a Sharp Sopressata and was terrible disappointed. Their rolls are the best in industry but maybe they ran out and borrowed some from Slacks! I ordered a sandwich that I thought would be a hot sandwich- the Bada bing-the chicken was hot and fresh and the other half was freezing cold. My husband informed the staff that the sandwich was half cold and half hot and they said it should be that way (no where on the menu is that explained and why would anyone expect that). They refused to make me a new sandwich and I had to pay for an Italian. Bathroom- there is a rack of chemicals at children's height to include gallon bottles of bleach and gallon bottles of all purpose cleaner on the bottom, gallons of grease away on the second from bottom shelf, and paper towels and such on the top 2 shelves. While my husband was using the restroom with my 2 year old, my 2 year old knocked into the shelving and knocked a bottle of chemicals onto the floor and it broke open. I am sure this is not a proper storage for the only restroom in the store accessible by paying customers. read more

OK, I'm not originally from Philly (sorry, Bahston!), so discount this if you want, but I am a convert to Primo Hoagies. Like anyone, I grew up eating crappy, generic submarine sandwiches, which are OK, but not something I ever really cared about. LOL, heck, whenever I have a Philly cheesesteak, I wish I was eating a lobster roll! I've lived in Philly for a year and a half now and was never quite sure what a "hogy" even was. But recently a friend had us over for "movie night" and introduced us Primo hoagies from the Wayne location (which we enjoyed with "North by Northwest", "Sideways", and a 2006 Robert Foley Merlot of all things), and suddenly I'm hooked! Anyway, I had to search out a closer location, which turned out to be at Station Square mall in Lansdale. The owner of this clean, efficient takeout with a few tables is an outgoing, cool guy who really seems to appreciate my business every time I'm there. Yes, there is an odd sign about not using your cell in line, but there's never much of a line, and there's no cranky attitude that I can see in evidence. My recommendation is a "Primo"-sized (medium) sharp Italian with lettuce, tomato, onions, oil and added long hot peppers. High quality ingredients stacked high on crispy, but not too crispy, fresh sesame roll, and tasty enough that it's become a once-a-week destination for me. Very fast service (also a TV while you wait). Closes a bit early around 7PM, and they might run out of bread a bit earlier (I got the last Primo once), so be forewarned. If there are better places for hoagies in the Philly area, then I really need to search them out, since Primo's is already a pretty darn good sandwich. Hard to believe it's a chain. The food is absolutely phenomenal, which is why it's a shame I have to give this place 2 stars. I order about 4 hoagies once or twice a week for the office, and we are located 1.2 miles away from Primo's. Yet every time i want something delivered, it's not doable. I don't even know where to start, or how to explain why I've actually bought sandwiches from this location multiple times. Probably just out of convenience from my house. EXAMPLE 1: One day, I wanted a Primo hoagie. I called like eight times and no answer. It rang for a while too each time. I was running some errands towards that area so I popped in to see if they were open. They were. I ordered. Two teenage kids in there listening to music not giving a shit and the phone rang several times while I was waiting for my food and they just let it ring and couldn't even give a shit to answer it. It took a long time, I was the only person in there, and the sandwich was terrible as well. I've heard that although this is a franchise, most are privately owned and I swear to god if I owned this place I would be pissed to know that customers are being ignored. EXAMPLE 2: Same as example above, but this was only about 2 months ago. I tried calling from work to pickup some lunch for me and a coworker. Same thing. Called several times. No answer. I go there and wait for a long time and they literally answered the phone 1 out of the 3 times it rang. Again, the sandwiches were terrible and my buffalo cutlet sandwich was just bread and the chicken. No cheese. Nothing else. I was pissed when I got back to work. And I work very hard for my money. EXAMPLE 3: Lately, my work has been buying everyone in the plant lunch once a week and sometimes they will order from this location. I figure hey, "if someone else is buying who cares"...just YESTERDAY I was hungry as hell waiting for a sharp Italian and it was just meat and cheese. No lettuce. No onion. Just meat and cheese on a dry ass roll. Happened with another coworker who ordered the same thing and I can't tell you how many other coworkers' order was screwed up. This place REALLY needs to get its shit together and from now on I will drive 5 extra miles in the opposite direction from my house to get a Primo sandwich from another location that knows what they are doing. "How to lose a customer in 27 minutes" starring the Pennbrook Parkway Primo location. The answer to this question comes down to one word, INCOMPETENCE. I placed an order online and the first red flag I should have paid attention to was that their "next available pickup" time was one hour out, a full 30 minutes MORE than any of the 4 other closest locations. I arrived in store at 11:44am and had to wait for close to 10 minutes to even state that I was there to pick up. The young woman working the counter/phone seemed to really be struggling with the phone order she was taking, and at the time, I couldn't determine if it was her, the customer on the phone, or both who were riding the struggle bus. That answer came soon. Even though I was able to order the "dirt pudding" online, it was not available in store. I was offered rice pudding in exchange but I instead asked for it to be taken off my order. The woman working the counter tried tapping on the touchscreen to edit my order but to no avail. She went in the back and came back with $2.50 for me; HOWEVER, I was charged $7.99 plus tax online. I told her that it wasn't right and she informed me the owner would have to help me. So I stood there some more, nearly 15 more minutes until the owner came out. He eventually tapped on the touchscreen, opened the register and handed me $4. WRONG! I, again, said I was charge $7.99 and I eventually got my $8 back and finally left the store at 12:17pm. Between the roughly 20 minutes of drive time to/from the store, plus the 25 minutes in store, my lunch break was completely shot. I can only imagine how pissed I, or others, would be in a non-COVID world where you have to physically get back to work and not go home. Luckily, the Chalfont store is equidistant for me to get to and I'll be going there from now on. I would rather get a crappy Wawa hoagie, I'd rather drove an extra 4 minutes to go to the Dresher Primo's than go back here. Stay away! Looking at the other reviews, this seems to be the norm, not the exception. EDIT: I forgot to mention how I was offered NOTHING for my "patience" with them. No "hey, grab a bag of chips or a soda". NOTHING. With the amount of time I spent there, if you break my salary down, they should have paid ME for my lunch. read more

I tried Primo again last week and my hoagie was much better this time. Their hot peppers have a different taste to them that I'm not a fan of, but other than that the hoagie was very good. While expecting a healthy helping of sausage, I opened my light as air sandwich to find skimpy, sausage slices amidst a drizzle of marinara , skimpy onions & peppers. so, i actually love their hoagies. i'm not an expert on hoagies, but i love theirs. the reason why i gave them 2 stars is because of three of their employees. when i get rude service, I'll tolerate it a couple times, but I was going there 2-3 times a week and and when you come to expect to be treated rudely, F it. I"ll go next door to the sushi place. the owner of the establishment ( i think he's the owner) has always been ok, he's curteous and always thanks you for coming in. it's the other people. I know good help is hard to find, but come on. they had a sign up saying something along the lines of " don't be on the phone when you pay" ok, that makes complete sense. but they had this asshole goofy looking 6'5" tall kid working the cash register, he'd call out your name (your food was up, hence your turn to pay), and if he saw you even touching your phone he'd yell out, "get off the phone." that was the straw the broke the camels back.
