    Italian and cheesesteak
    Amy D.

First thing in the door we were greeted by super friendly staff. The restaurant and its restrooms were spotless. The cheesesteak was meh but the Italian was awesome! Absolutely delish and the provolone is sharp which I love! The employees really make this place!

Roast Beef Diablo with fresh mozzarella subbed in- wonderful!

Next level move for a memorable beach picnic. Get a bunch of subs from Primos and share. Seriously delicious with high quality meats and cheese as well as perfect bread and extras like broccoli rabe or fresh mozzarella. Hoagie in a bowl was perfect gluten free option. Next time we want to try the hot options! Travis was so helpful in recommending options and made the best sandwiches we've had all year. Just. So. Good.

Our favorite sub place we have found in Mount P! Nothing beats picking up a good sub and eating it on the beach. If you get a sub, make sure you get the seeded roll.. best part. The lettuce bowl (getting your sub in a tub over lettuce) is AMAZING and they give you the same amount of meat as a sub (sometimes more I feel like haha). It is so filling and delicious! Sign up for their rewards/texts and the owner is always sending out $2 off coupons which makes it worth it.

I have to be honest, I was starting to get addicted to their Italian hoagies. Delicious! Love the bread, everything tastes fresh. Today I also tried a chicken cutlet. Equally delicious. It's always pretty busy when I go and I know sometimes they're short staffed but everyone is so friendly and helpful.

Good way to save some dough!

Primo Hoagies is a great addition to the sandwich scene in Mt. Pleasant. My husband and I recently tried Primo Hoagies for a weekday lunch, and a few weeks later, I ordered to-go when I was in Mt. Pleasant running errands. The best way to find Primo Hoagies to enter from the northbound lane of Hwy 17, turn in at Jack's Cosmic Dogs or Advanced Auto Parts, then you'll see an entrance into the back parking lot. The shop has plenty of parking and feels secluded from the hustle and bustle. At first, the large menu seemed overwhelming, but the staff members who helped us, including the owners, were super patient and answered all of our questions. I love that broccoli rabe and roasted red peppers are offered as toppings. So far, I've had the Nonna's Veggie and the Italian Tuna. If you want leftovers (and the seeded bread), I recommend the Primo/medium size, but the small works if you're not super hungry or want chips and dessert. Speaking of dessert, order the dirt pudding! The shop has free wi-fi, which kept me occupied while I waited on my order, which was packaged very well and survived a trip back to West Ashley. The hoagies were clearly marked, our orders were correct, and napkins condiments were included. In short, I loved both my meals at Primo Hoagies- I hope they'll eventually expand to West Ashley so I can get hoagies without driving so far.

May 5, 2021 Decided to order online with delivery. I chose their Philly Cheese Steak and a roast beef sandwich. Delivery was spot on. My Philly was just perfect! My wife loved her Roast Beef sandwich. Can't get much better. It was a great lunch!!!!

Decided to try another sandwich it looks and smells delicious. This place never disappoints! If you haven't tried it, you should! Service excellent, food always fresh and faster than fast food these days.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a high-energy, friendly host staff that immediately made us feel welcome and set the tone for the evening. I started with the Prince Edward Island oysters on the half shell, which were fresh and excellent. My wife enjoyed the grass-fed filet mignon, while I ordered the 45-day dry-aged ribeye. Both steaks were outstanding - incredible flavor, perfectly prepared, and exceptionally tender. The experience went far beyond just the food. One of the owners, Billy, introduced himself and then personally brought over two glasses of champagne to congratulate us on our anniversary, which was a very thoughtful gesture (even though my wife doesn't drink alcohol and champagne isn't my preference). The restaurant manager also made a point to stop by and congratulate us. Our server, Aidy (pronounced "eighty"), was awesome. Extremely knowledgeable of the menu, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable throughout the evening. As is tradition at Halls, they brought out and displayed the various cuts of steak while explaining the characteristics of each - a great touch that added to the experience. We ordered the mashed potatoes and the pepper jack creamed corn skillet for sides, both excellent. Dessert was the perfect finish: vanilla crème brûlée and whiskey bread pudding. One thing that really stood out was how well orchestrated the entire restaurant operation felt. From the hosts, to the servers, to the managers and support staff, everyone worked together seamlessly to create a polished and memorable dining experience. The staff worked hard, and each person clearly knew and performed their role perfectly. It was impressive! The dining room itself had a loud, energetic vibe that added to the atmosphere of the evening and fit the overall Halls experience perfectly. Honestly, there's not much we could have asked to be better. Halls delivered an exceptional dining experience all the way around.

For food, I tried the fried catfish entree and Green apple-cauliflower soup. Both dishes were good. The fish was very tender and juicy. The butter bean succutash, which I never had before, contained butter beans, black eyed peas, corns, green and red peppers and red onions. It was delicious but since beans are of high FODMAP, I only had a little. The fish was topped with tomato jam made with crushed tomatoes, onions and sugar. It was served chilled. Paired well with the fish and succutash. The soup was creamy, silky, and full of flavor from cauliflower. The pistachio added some crunchiness to it. The taste of "green apple" was not obvious; in fact I was expecting there to be some apple slices, which could add extra texture and sourness to this rich soup. I also asked for a side of sourdough. A bit too salty for me. The service was kinda slow, except that food came out in reasonable amoutn of time **after I placed the order**, that is, I waited quite a while to order my food. The same for doing the check. I guess it was because there were not many staff at lunchtime, and most of them were senior thus could move as fast as young ppl.

So much so that we came back for brunch the very next morning before hitting the road back to Atlanta. Dinner started with the dressed oysters and I'm still thinking about them. Grape and caviar on an oyster? Absolute genius. Light, briny, luxurious - they set the tone perfectly. The milk bread that followed was pillowy and buttery, the kind you have to resist devouring before your entrée arrives. For mains, I had the salmon and my partner had the grouper. Both were phenomenal. The salmon was perfectly seared with a gorgeous crust and sat in a dreamy herb cream sauce dotted with roe. The grouper was equally impressive, plated with confidence and cooked beautifully. The creamed spinach on the side was rich and satisfying without being heavy. The Eat, Slay, Love cocktail was a spiced (not spicy!) surprise: warm, complex, and completely unique. Brunch the next day? Just as impressive. We doubled down on the dressed oysters because there was no way we were leaving without them again. He had the shaved ham Benedict and I had the fish sandwich. Both were excellent. This place is firing on all cylinders, morning and night. Already planning the next Charleston trip around a return visit.

Butter rolls to start - these were good but not amazing. They were also burnt on the top Crab cakes - the best food of the night actually. The cocktails/drinks were good, and again the service was stellar, but some of the dishes missed the mark.
