After a nearby weekend round of golf, we stopped here for a trunk lunch in the parking lot. Due to COVID-19 they are takeaway only and without a park to hop over to, we just opened up the minivan trunk and tailgated right there in their lot! My buddy and I decided to get two sandwiches (Hot Italian and a Reuben) so we could split and try them both. We also got a big bag of local area wavy chips (Hartville brand) and doing so they gave us a container of their famous bacon-flavored chip dip! I was also to try another area favorite (for the first time), a pure cane sugar soda called Norka. The hot Italian sub was excellent and only mildly spicy served pressed on a grilled bun along with onion, lettuce and tomato. The corned beef Reuben sandwich was great served atop a hearty grilled bread, lean corned beef and plenty of sauerkraut and Russian dressing. Chip dip was definitely flavored with bacon seasoning and we gobbled that up in no time using those crispy wavy chips. I had a cherry-strawberry Norka pop and it was very refreshing and not overly sweet...went great with our sandwiches! Will most certainly add this to my foodie list for future golf rounds when we need to spot for a quick bite. Well done, team!

Second time here and definitely going to be back and add to the rotation. The New York pastrami with creamy slaw and thousand island in rye was fantastic. Diverse menu and took everything of me to hold off on a second sandwich. Staff was super friendly as well

Dear Yelpers, Eccentric, eclectic, extravagant, and EXCELLENT! Pulling up to Primo's will have you wondering just what it is that has you here...but don't let the disheveled exterior fool you. This place has just what ya need. We stumbled across it on accident and it was one of the better mistakes I've made this year. The lovely staff of ladies was there to greet and serve with a smile that made you feel like a local. And the Spicy Italian Sub definitely earned its #1 Sub in Akron title! Not too spicy and packed with flavor!! And don't forget to pick up something to drink from the huge selection! Your friendly neighborhood foodie

Excellent sandwiches, especially that hot spicy Italian sub! And the Reuben has the most tender corned beef! This place feels like a dive bar, but has very tasty food. You pick your bottle or can of beer (lots of craft and unique brews) from the refrigerator. And the prices are excellent. Rolling Acres, sadly, feels like a ghost town. But Primo's is thriving!

It was pretty basic. Two peperoncini peppers and a radish adorned the top. There were four sticks of salami, no pepperoni or ham and the salad was covered with cheese. The salad dressing was on the light side and you could barely taste it, recommend you ask for it on the side. I ordered the sausage and meatball splash and my spouse had the rigatoni. Both entrées were just ok. The bread was great and served warm. Our waitress was attentive w/o being a bother. They finally accept credit cards albeit with a surcharge. We could hear conversation from one end of the table to the other. Several people had the Fish Fry special of fish and chips - some liked it, some didn't care as much for it. I didn't try it personally, but the plate had three decent size pieces of fish with a side of fries and coleslaw. Nice offering for Good Friday meal. Two of us had Chicken piccata and really appreciated that we could substitute out the side of pasta! One of us ordered a side of grilled veggies (highly recommend) and the other steamed broccoli. Highly recommend the grilled veggies! Good combination of different vegetables. The broccoli was good, but would have ordered without butter. There was a pool of butter they were swimming in. The piccata was good - 3 decent sized pieces of chicken breast. Note if you are not a red pepper fan, order the sauce without. I forgot to ask, but they were easy to pick out. The calamari was a good portion for an appetizer. We hoped they had cocktail sauce for it, but they only had marinara. The mesclun salad was very good and really good size for a half portion. We did not order dessert, but the cakes when you first walk in are quite impressive and imagine are delicious!

I ordered a pasta dish with pomadoro sauce and a ceaser salad. My wife ordered pasta with seafood. It was easily 20 minutes from salad to entre. Now, a server may think along those lines all the time in their job, but to say it out loud to diners was tactless and less than welcoming. By 5:30 we did not have food yet, and joked with each other that we weren't going to make it in time. Ultimately, at the end of the meal the owner came around and I told him what the server had said. He went into a discourse about how the online booking service (which we did not use) uses 2-hour reservation slots etc etc, either missing or avoiding the point entirely. I mentioned it took an inordinately long time for our orders to come to the table. He said good food takes time. A cop-out, but okay. Consider my plate of salmon piccata. The salmon was not prepared as requested. Capers appeared to be absent (the whole point of piccata) but found a mere 4 under the fish. The asparagus was missing altogether, but the server did bring some quickly. The pasta wasn't overcooked, so that was right. But there was the bread, "focaccia", $2 ala carte. It was so dense and tasteless, except for the garlic on top. There were no air bubbles in sight. Granted I'm not Italian but this was not focaccia. So we'll go back to our usual place on White Pond.

Our Sunday dinner started a little rocky. It took 5+ minutes to see our server, the kitchen was apparently backed up, and the Watermelon Mojito advertised on the new cocktail menu wasn't available. The Long Island, however, was excellent. From there, things began to improve. The bread was light and airy with an herb dipping oil, and the house salad was fresh mixed greens with a really good house-made Italian dressing. The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was the star. Fresh, al dente pasta with a rich, creamy, garlicky sauce and a well-seasoned, crispy chicken cutlet. Absolutely delicious. Melissa loved her Chicken Parmesan with gnocchi. When we asked for extra red sauce, they made it fresh and brought out a warm bowl a few minutes later -- BIG points for that. Our server also became much more attentive and personable once things settled down. A shaky start, but San Marino definitely finished strong. The table bread and dipping oil were tasty and definitely helped hold us over. I did try to order a watermelon mojito they were advertising on a TV inside the dining room but I was told they no longer had them. So I stuck with water. For dinner, I ordered the chicken Parmesan gnocchi with a side salad and their house Italian dressing. The salad was fresh and delicious (and not a shred of iceberg lettuce!) and the house made Italian dressing was very tasty. It was a golden Italian that had a nice flavor. My gnocchi was AWESOME -- tender, airy and full of flavor, and the chicken cutlet was delicious.
