Unfortunately, dealing with Ernie himself has become so frustrating that it outweighs the quality of the work. This would have been the third project he completed for us. Over the last two weeks, I repeatedly tried to get on his schedule for some stucco repairs. He canceled the estimate appointment twice and eventually asked me to send photos instead. After finally receiving the quote, I signed and returned it promptly, but I could not get any response regarding scheduling the work. When I expressed my frustration about the lack of communication, rather than addressing the issue, he simply refused to do the job. Good workmanship is important, but so is professionalism, reliability, and communication. The crew just finished my home yesterday and I am VERY happy with their work. I initially received their number from a paint industry friend of mine. I made an initial call, left my inquiry, and Ernie quickly returned my call. Ernie was out the next day to assess and bid my job. He had an email bid to me within 24-hours. We discussed a few minor inclusions/exclusions and I felt his bid was VERY reasonable for the scope of work we discussed. This all occurred early in the COVID quarantine, so we waited a few weeks before we felt comfortable moving forward. Our project took Five (5) days total. Day 1 started at 7am with Ernie, his competent Job Foreman, and 4 other crew members to review the scope of project. Ernie stopped by to check on progress 3 times. On the days he could not visit, he and I spoke via telephone to ensure things were moving along smoothly. Day 5 was a smaller crew for "finish" work and final site clean-up. Each day that the crew worked, they were diligent with site preparation, cleaning, and took great care in their work. The crew was timely, worked at a consistent pace, and took appropriate breaks. They organized their work materials before leaving each day and were never intrusive. Happiest I've ever been with a contractor for our house.
