The seasonal desserts weren't great but the golden bread was so good! This place was super popular but we had no wait for three people which was nice. Great, quick service with lots of seating!
Such a nice and cute sit down dessert spot, perfect for a post dinner date or with a bigger group of friends! I was SO excited to see that they had a matcha lava cake. Lava cake with vanilla ice cream has always been my favorite dessert but MAKE IT MATCHA, EVEN BETTER!! Ngl, I couldn't really taste the matcha in the cake but the warm chocolate oozing out was delicious. The warm cake paired so well with the matcha ice cream, which that I could taste the matcha in. The crumbs under the matcha ice cream elevated this to a next level. It added an amazing texture. Service was great too.

If you're looking for a great dessert, this is the place to go! I've been to Spot Dessert Bar many times and gotten essentially everything on their menu, and they have all been amazing. My favorites are: - The golden toast. It is nice and light and not too sweet. - The matcha lava cake. It's a little richer but still very well balanced. - The warm s'mores cookie. It is just ooey and gooey in all the best ways. The service is good, although keep in mind the line can get very long at this location. The atmosphere inside is also very cozy, albeit a little tight, but it does not affect the dining experience at all.
Back at Spot to try their limited-time coffee dessert for white valentine's day! The presentation is so pretty, especially with the date white chocolate mousse piped into a flower shape. It tasted just as good as it looked. We literally scraped the plate clean, which pretty much says how much we enjoyed it. I'm a big fan of dates in desserts, so I was already into this. The date white chocolate mousse and dried dates brought this caramel-like sweetness that balanced the slight bitterness from the coffee. I only wish the mochi cake was a bit chewier or more mochi-y though. Also just a heads up, this dessert has caffeine and it kept me up for a bit since I had it in the evening lol.
The desserts don't taste as impressive as they did in the past. The watermelon one was very light in taste and very hard to eat. The yuzu one had a stronger taste but I wasnt a fan of it and the passion fruit one wasnt that great either. I do like the milk tea float and the cheesecake one thats still good. Went on a Saturday around opening so there was no wait. Service was ok.
asdfghjkl Spot Dessert Bar is the freakin best man! Not only do you feel like you're going downstairs to some exclusive speakeasy, but the dessert is out of this world. We've visited about five times now, and have been very happy customers after each visit. I would highly recommend the golden toast. The sweet, crispy, spongy, perfectly toasted toast is a 10/10, paired with strawberries and condensed milk ice cream. It slaps every time. My husband loves the cookie camp. Marshmallow cookie, pretzels, with the condensed milk ice cream and a homemade chocolate sauce poured over. Are you kidding me!? Perfection. The servers have always been really friendly and efficient. It is a casual place, and is always busy, especially during the evenings.

My partner and I made it our mission to try every single thing on the menu, and genuinely we couldn't even pick a favorite. However, there is nothing like the cookie skillet! It is really quick, there's usually a wait, but not too long and enough to do in the area that you can walk around while you wait, the best thing to do before a comedy show or after a couple of drinks! Was just back in the city for the first time in a couple of years and stopped by to show my friend, and nothing had changed. Was still able to get some of the amazing desserts with a few additions on the menu. Altogether 100% recommend.

Came on a thursday night at around 9:30pm and this place was poppin! We put our name down and waited for about 20 minutes before getting seated. If you have a big party during busy hour, they might have to squeeze you in (we saw a group of 6 on a small table meant for 4) but we were only a party of 2 so it was ok. We got the hey jasmine (jasmine panna cotta, pandan sago, tuile, orange segments raspberry sauce, jasmine ice cream) and the matcha lava (dark chocolate cake with matcha powder, chocolate pearls, cookie crumbs, green tea ice cream). Both desserts were great! The presentation was so nice and just made it look so appetizing. I love panna cotta but I've never had a jasmine flavor one so this was new to me and I loved the floral flavor. I enjoyed the raspberry and orange flavor on the side as well. The matcha lava was delicious and it paired well with the cookie crumbs.
I'm super particular about desserts since i have a really big sweet tooth! So I'm glad that I got to try this place out on my trip to NYC! Servers are very nice and quick at bringing out your order! We ordered a bunch of stuff: caramel miso cookie, cruffin. matcha lava, Snow White and milky puff! My favorites would be the Snow White and caramel miso cookie! If you've had a long day, the Snow White is super refreshing! I would highly recommend. Also, the miso cookie melts in your mouth! Definitely going to be stopping here again! read more
The cookie skillet is literally the most amazing treat. Regardless how many times I eat it, I'm floored every time. I always appreciate seeing their season menu changes too. Went here with some friends when visiting the city and loved it! It is a really long wait and is always packed so I would recommend reserving a spot on the waitlist before heading over because there WILL BE A LINE. We got their 3 dessert sampler to share and it was more than enough sweets for us. The star of the show was the Golden Toast- it had the perfect crunch on the outside while still being warm and soft on the inside. And paired with ice cream and strawberries it was the perfect light and refreshing sweet treat. We also died over the Matcha Lava! That was the perfect ooey gooey dessert we needed. I feel like even if you aren't into matcha you'd like this bc the only matcha thing is the ice cream on the side (the matcha powder on the cake you don't really taste). Reminds me of the nostalgia of a chili's lava cake lol. We also ordered the Harvest which none of us were really into. It makes for a super cute picture but it just kinda tastes like a cheescake that isn't set yet. Wouldn't order it again. BUT the raspberry ice cream was fire and tastes just like the Talenti Gelato! got there around 11PM and were worried about timing but got seated shortly after arrival. was a cozy, buzzing space! big fan of restaurants that offer seasonal plates -- all 3 Winter desserts looked so interesting. as it was our first time there, we wanted to try the classic Best Sellers Trio: Golden Toast, Matcha Lava, Harvest (dirt pudding w/strawberries.) 100% perfect for group sharing, and there are a couple other dessert combo options. The toast was a bit of a disappointment as it was a bit hard to cut into + not very fluffy. The raspberry sorbet didn't pair well at all with the Harvest dessert. Maybe they could sub. that with a texture-rich nutty gelato or strawberry shortcake style ice cream? aside from those small few things, our desserts were boooooomb + beautifully presented. such a lively place to enjoy some fabulous dessert. I'll have to come back to try the bubble teas and the milky puff dessert. read more
Music appeal to the youth.My dining partner knew more but not all of th we Playlist. I learned a thing or three. Ousting options curated by Michelin star chef. The server was attentive, efficient and served with a smile (in his costume). I wanted an option advertised fron Spring /Summer menu but it was not available. I opted for another as I longed for warmer weather. I ordered a cappuccino and much to my chagrin; they only had decaf. My experience at Spot has always been good. I came here multiple times. Food quality was good and services were good. However during my last visit , I was disappointed at the way the store automatically added 20% gratuities to our bill based on the regular menu price. We were a party of 6, and we ordered the 3 desserts selections for 38.99 to share, since we just had our dinner earlier. When the bill came, we wasn't told that the gratuity was already added. We had to ask whether tips were added or not. (Since we noticed how come the bill was so high). Only after we paid, we were presented our bill, and we realized gratuity was infact 23% of our good 38.99. Gratuities were 20% based on the regular price item 44.85, instead of the 3 selection38.99 price. This was not indicated clearly on the bill and I felt I was being mispresented. read more
I fear I have nothing really bad to say about this restaurant. It's honestly one of a kind, and I wish there were more locations in the city. Though small this location tends to move people in and out of the restaurant fast because of how fast their service is, but enough to seat maybe 30 people. Every time I've come here I've gotten the golden toast because of how perfectly balance the softness and the crispiness of the toast is. It pairs perfectly well with the condensed milk ice cream, too. I don't think I've ever gotten anything bar from SPOT, and would like to see more specials read more

I've been to the Flushing location several times and this one is consistent. Overall a great dessert option if you're craving something sweet! Just be warned, the wait times can be VERY long, especially on evening weekends (sometimes up to 2ish hours). Inside is pretty small - not ideal for groups larger than 5 I feel like. They do turn tables quickly - desserts come out very fast. But wait times can still be long (put your name on the list via QR code). My all time favorites are: -Cookie Camp: ooey gooey buttery salty, chocolatey goodness. It's delicious. -Matcha Lava: if you're a lava cake fan this is definitely for you. Not too rich and the matcha flavor is extremely mild. It's more chocolatey than anything. read more
Located in St. Marks, this Spot Dessert Bar location was still super busy at 11pm and is a great spot for a sweet treat with friends or a date. They have a base menu with a rotating seasonal menu for desserts. They also offer drinks (milk tea, tea, and alcohol!) and other small sweet bites. Service is quick. My wife and I wanted to grab some dessert after a mediocre dinner and we stumbled upon Spot. We're so glad we did but, at the same time, we wish we knew about the log wait we would have to wait. Be advised that there will be a wait. But, honestly, it's worth it. The restaurant is located below a Chinese restaurant. It's one of those places you might miss if you're not paying attention. Once inside, it's a small location but you don't feel crammed in. Even when packed have your own little space and it's not so loud you can't carry a conversation with your party. I really appreciated that. Especially coming from a very loud, very cramped restaurant for dinner. The staff is wonderfully helpful. When we mentioned it was our first time and we were unfamiliar with the restaurant, they happily explained their menu and offered suggestions both based on their preference as well as best sellers. I was glad to see they had a deal where you could try a few of the best selling desserts for those who are unable to make a decision. We opted for some of the seasonal specials they had. They were wonderful twists on traditional summer flavors. Everything tasted incredibly flavorful while also not feeling overly rich. Spots was a great dessert bar that I am so glad we stumbled upon on scrolling through Yelp. I would highly recommend visiting on your next visit to New York. You won't be disappointed. read more

I've been here a few times and I enjoy coming back every time! There is always a bit of a wait, although that's not surprising for the city. The place is rather small and there is not much seating, so keep that in mind for larger groups. Desserts are aesthetically pleasing and just as delicious. My usual is Harvest, and I love trying their seasonal items read more

Such a lively and fun spot for aesthetic desserts. Definitely get their Best Seller Dessert Trio so you can try their three main desserts for $35.95! This deal includes The Harvest, Matcha Lava, and Golden Toast. Overall, would say the order from most to least favorite is: 1. Matcha Lava 2. Golden Toast 3.The Harvest Matcha Lava: 5/5 - The molten lava cake had a perfect runniness that imparted a deep delicious chocolate flavor. The matcha part is a scoop of matcha icecream served on the side. When you try both together, it's a perfect bite. Golden Toast: 4.5/5 - Nicely buttered Honey Toast served with some vanilla icecream, whipped cream & strawberries to elevate it. These toppings definitely transformed it into an upscale, delicious Toast. The Harvest: 3/5 - Not bad, but a little disappointing. You pour Milk Tea over the pot but the cheesecake was more a cup of whipped cream than cheesecake. It didn't have much flavor and the raspberry sorbet on the side seemed like an afterthought. Overall, definitely worth visiting if you enjoy trying instagrammable spots but do be prepared for a decently long wait (30+ minutes). read more

The harvest was disappointing. The cheesecake was more like whipped cream and very little chiffon cake. Overall tasted like sweet heavy cream with some Oreo crumble. I'd say it did not live up to the hype The mango and berry sorbet were excellent. Would definitely go back for only the sorbet except you have to order a sit down dessert The wait was not bad (about 10 minutes) for a Saturday night and the service was quick. Best dessert I've ever had! My friend and I got the trio of favorites which included the Harvest, Matcha Lava, and Golden Toast. My favorite was the Harvest, it's SOOO good and a must. The matcha lava cake was really good and decadent as well (but like any lava cake). The golden toast was my least favorite and I found it to be a bit hard so it was difficult to eat. But, overall this place is a 10/10 and you NEED to get the harvest! read more

Came here as part of a quest for a sweet treat late at night when everything was already closed, but Spot was still open and lively! So lively in fact, there was a notably large waitlist but we flew through it quickly and were seated within 10 minutes. We split a few things. First the Hey Jasmine - a Jasmine Panna Cotta which was like eating a cloud. The Jasmine flavor was wonderful, and it was seated atop some Pandan Sago which was like eating little refreshing bursts of flavor. That paired with the Jasmine Ice Cream and oranges just all felt rejuvenating almost. Next was the Caramel Miso cookie which was fine, I enjoyed it but not as unique as I thought it was gonna be. Flavor wise it resembled apple pie crust. Also tried out a beverage: the Honeydew Cream Soda. Honestly don't know how I felt about this. The syrup at the bottom is soooo thick like honey so it was pretty difficult to stir it into the drink. After a lowkey arm workout I tried it when it was all mixed together and it was just okay. Personally I think there was too much ice cream put in there like it was almost a milkshake, which is definitely a vibe, but I was expecting more of a soda with a light creaminess to it. read more
I have always eyed Spot Dessert, but there is always a long line. Finally, I made it here on a random Friday night with a group of 4. We originally thought to share the trio desserts, but they don't let you substitute. In the end, the waiter convinced us to get the Omakase Dessert ($79.95), which comes with your choice of 5 desserts, 3 cookies/pastries, and a pot of oriental tea. Honestly, this was a bit much for us, so probably best for a bigger group or if you've got a huge sweet tooth. While all the desserts were beautifully done, I thought they were too sweet. I was only able to eat one bite or everyday. The tea was also served in mini paper cups, which disintegrated and made for a not great experience. I'd rather grab dessert elsewhere, but now I know. read more

Ate in 2019 at the K-town location: Spot Dessert Bar was very popular during this time and my friends and I finally got to try it one day. I don't remember much about the flavors but honestly, nothing really stood out to me about this place. The presentation of the desserts was great, really aesthetically pleasing for taking photos. But flavor-wise, it wasn't really anything special. Tasted kind of mid to be honest. Also, this was pretty pricey as well, I wouldn't go again. read more

Had some friends from out of state visiting so I was glad this spot was open late and looked lively enough. The service was quite lovely and super friendly. Looks tight but once you're sat it's quite roomy. Service was fast. And holy shit the desserts were fantastic. We had some beverages, Capp, Thai tea, reg tea, all great. Harvest is a must have. Miso seasonal dessert is great especially if you love citrus. The one with the choux I has great textures and everything was delicious. I would gladly return. read more
