This past weekend I invited my cousin ( more like my brother) and his wife to meet us here for lunch. We met halfway as they have a house in Sun City & I'm in the EV. This locations aesthetic is so pretty that my daughter took a pic as an inspo. Ready to eat! Staff - all attentive, courteous, and kind. Looked like they enjoy working together. Food - Delicious! The gyro menu has a good variety as well as the entrees. My go-to is always a #5 chicken shwarma entree, but the #7 kofta entree was calling me! When it arrived. I eas greeted by a generous plate of 2 pcs of nicely grilled kofta, rice, hummus, a wole pita, and a salad. The dressing on this salad was so delicious, I wish I had more salad! (Next time I might sub the hummus and pita for a double portion of the salad.) The kofta was juicy and flavorful that paired so well with the huge portions of fluffy rice that was sprinkled either with sumac or paprika on top. As I said, portions are generous - and I almost finished it all! (1/2 hummus and 1/2 pita was all that was left.) My cousin even had a larger entree choice of the combo meats of kofta, a chicken kabob, and chicken shwarma. He subbed his hummus for extra rice and boy, that was on half of the plate! He enjoyed his meal along with his wife, who ordered the falafel entree. 3 of my 4 adult kiddos ordered gyros and paid the extra $6 for fries and a drink. My oldest got the deluxe gyro and opted for regular fries while my other two, chose Greek fries that was topped with feta along with their chicken kebab and chicken shwarma, respectively. I stole a couple of feta fries to try and they were crispy and light and was tasty. (For next time. I might order that on the side!) Fountain drinks are Pepsi products, a Minute Maid lemonade, and unsweetened iced tea. Also, there is a coffee bar and a dessert display of baklava and nut bars. The banana cream latte and baklava are something I regretted not ordering, but I will for next time! Overall, a great dining experience with really good tasting food. Stop it and Turkish coffee first time I had it was in Tempe at one of the oldest Middle Eastern grocery store restaurants in AZ Haji Baba. Theirs is on that same punch you in your face coffee kick. I can't decide if I love the people or food more!! My husband said it's the best gyro he's ever had and I love their plates that include a meat, salad, hummus, pita, and rice. So much good for a great price and I always have leftovers for the next day. They have delicious fries too!! The Medjool cafe inside is also a nice perk for some treats and coffee. My wife ordered the Falafel Entree, which included falafel, salad, rice, hummus, and pita bread, while I had the Chicken Shawerma Entree, served with chicken breast, salad, rice, and hummus. It had pickles on it which I'm not used too and might order without next time. Flavor was good, though not too strong. The Greek fries were pretty good, but might want to try putting some in the basket, adding some toppings and repeat so all the fries get a chance at the feta and tzatziki. The interior is really nicely decorated. Simple, yet pleasing and clean. The sweets at the Medjool Cafe looked amazing and we both said we're definitely coming back to try some of those. We went on the grand opening night, and the staff despite being quite busy provided excellent service. The building has beautiful art and helps set the scene and culture of the restaurant. For food, we ordered the Greek fries, the shawarma combo plate, and the steak kebab plate. The Greek fries were a standout. They were crispy, crunchy, and well seasoned. It's a walk-up counter-style restaurant where you order and pay, and they bring out your food. They have a large dining area and outdoor patio. The place is spacious and well appointed which will serve them well as customers will flock here to get great food. The grilled chicken platter including yellow rice, hummus and a great tossed salad. The hummus is probably one of the best Ive had. The chicken was charred beautifully but somehow I wish that it had more herbs. The other dish was 4 lamb chops which were beautifully prepared also accompanied by rice hummus and a salad. Although you order and then they bring you your food, they still took the time to come by the table and ask us how everything was. We decided to visit after seeing good Yelp reviews, and since we don't live far, we figured we'd give it a try. When we pulled up, the parking lot was packed, and we initially thought it was because of the neighboring restaurant. We were even about to leave to go somewhere else, but a parking spot opened up. I love this place, not only because it is crawling distance from my house, but the food is delicious (and, according to my dietician daughter, healthy). The service is impeccable and so friendly. Best of all, it is actually affordable. The restaurant also features an awesome bakery case filled with sweet delights. The first time I ate here, I ordered a chicken schawarma wrap, and my dining companion and I shared an order of Greek fries. When it arrived (promptly) at our table, my first comment was: "I will never be able to eat all of this." I could not stop eating. I was shocked when I looked at my clean plate. And if I maybe didn't quite get my fair share of the fries, well, that speaks to how amazing they were. A couple of weeks later, when I was expecting a small crowd for a poolside birthday party, I was delighted to see PP offered catering portions. I ordered online, and when I arrived on time to pick up my order, everything was ready and warm -- even the pita bread, which is far superior to anything you could buy in a store. The staff had included plates and tableware, and they gave me a sturdy box to carry it all out. (I should also mention that they offered to carry it out for me, but hey, I work out.) The food was a huge hit, which was both a blessing and a curse, because I barely had any leftovers for my lunch the next day. This Mediterranean restaurant is marvelous. There was barely any food on the plate, and for that price, I expected a much more reasonable serving. I also stopped by the neighboring café and paid $11 for two pieces of baklava. That felt extremely overpriced, especially considering they weren't even that good. Overall, the prices do not match the portions or quality. I honestly feel like I wasted my money here.
