Poke bowl over salad, no rice

Delicious, affordable seafood! We started with 6 oysters, AMAZING I had the cup of clam chowder & seared ahi poke bowl over salad no rice. It was delicious. My friend had the blackened cod sandwich with cole slaw and loved it.

Crab roll with clam chowder and a cherry cider
    Michelle L.

Came with a wedding party for a group lunch at Princess Seafood Restaurant on Friday. I got the full crab roll with clam chowder and a cherry cider to wash it all down. The crab was sweet and delicious. They definitely did not skimp out on the amount of crab in the crab roll which was great. I liked the creamy and thickness of the clam chowder and was really glad that it wasn't too salty which is usually my fear. I really enjoyed the cherry cider as my beverage. It is refreshing, fruity, and light. It tastes like juice pretty much. Just a nice touch of sweetness and acidity to balance out the meal. I was grateful to the employees for getting our orders out in a timely fashion. There was a bit of a mix up with some of the orders but it happens with big parties and for the most part everything was correct! Overall, I had a great meal here and would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Sorry I completely forgot what I ordered it was love at first sight

First time ever being in Fort Bragging I mean Brag coming from The Bay Area and a I was looking for oysters for camping someone told me to check out the Princess Seafood. Long story short I check it out enjoy the vibes and the view of the harbor and the food was phenomenal. Definitely going back and the best part about the restaurant it's Women owed so they got my full support.

    Crab Sandwich with chowder

If you're thinking this place feels like any other seafood place in a tourist town (malibu, monterey, etc), then prepare to have your viewpoints altered. While the checkered paper, fresh seafood, outdoor seating and walk up to order may all be part of the experience, this is probably the best seafood I've had in one of these beach towns. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, crab sandwich with chowder and blackened cod plate. The shrimp cocktail contains a surprising amount of shrimp for the price - and you can definitely taste how fresh the shrimp is! The crab sandwich was pretty good and light, but I feel like the blackened cod overshadowed everything. The cod was so flavorful, and you get 4-5 pieces. It's a cajun style seasoning where you can taste the spice - to a point it may be a little too spicy for people with low spice tolerance. The bread is buttered and the salad is fresh - you could not ask for a better meal. The clam chowder is a little different from most other places; they add some seasonings and spice to the chowder so it's not the traditional creamy, heavy soup you're expecting. It's like clam chowder premium, I prefer their version over a more traditional version. The view of the turquoise colored water is amazing from their indoor patio, as it's covered in windows. They also have an outdoor patio where you can take pictures of the color. The line to order was quick, but we saw that the line can get long with extended wait times depending on customer numbers. Water is self serve, and you also bus your own plates. When visiting Fort Bragg, you have to come to eat here, for the food, the view, and the service!

Our first time eating at Princess and it did not disappoint. We started with the spicy crab dip, and then the table had fish tacos, a beyond burger, and a salmon burger., plus some Cali Squeeze beers and iced tea. The patio has great ocean views and the food came out quickly.

1/2 Crab Sandwich Clam Chowder Guava Sour Beer

Found this place on yelp and wow this place is a gem! Ordered the 1/2 Crab Sandwich, Clam Chowder, and sour Guava Beer. Crab Sandwich: Wow this sandwich is good!!! I usually go to an SF giants game to get a good crab sandwich but this one here is soooo good and juicy!! So sad I got the half and went back the next day and got the full size Dungeness!! If you have a big appetite get the full! Clam Chowder: i have been to Seattle, Santa Cruz, Monterey etc and this clam chowder is on my top 3.... I was sooo surprised when I tried it. The clam chowder you can upgrade to a cup with the crab sandwich but man you'll want a bowl to yourself. I ended up getting a bowl to go for on the road and it's still good to go! You won't regret it. This place is a gem for the clam chowder and I promise you won't be upset. DO NOT CHANGE THE RECIPE everyone I talked to loves it and I will be coming back! Guava Beer: I like sours and they recommended the guava sour beer and it's a good one!! Sad they ran out the next day!! They also have pliney on tap and other good selections. Service here is great. Lots of smiles from everyone and the vibes here are great!! Will definitely be a must stop when in town! Thank you Princess seafood!

    Blackened grilled local rock cod

TL;DR: - there are a ton of seating both indoor and outdoor that overlooks the beautiful water. if you're local, you'll see the local sea otter bobbing up and down. mixed alcoholic drinks had the perfect ratio, oysters and octopus ceviche were fresh and perfectly seasoned. parking: - lots of parking available even though there was line to order wait time: - about 15 mins to put an order and about 5 mins for our food to arrive ambiance: - beautiful and scenic upscale pirate-like vibes service: - fast and considerate. food: [Worth It] - Blood Orange Margarita with salted rim: perfectly sweetened with the right amount of alcohol. it came out refreshing even with the artificial blood orange syrup. - Blood Orange Hef: refreshing with a nice subtle hint of citrus. ther are also lots of local draft beers available at a reasonable price of $8 a glass. - Octopus Ceviche: while seeing the tentacles may be off-putting to some, it was perfectly cooked so biting it to it was tender vs overly chewy. It went well with the chips. the only complaint was the ratio of chips was drastically more than the salad! - BBQ and Raw Oysters: you can taste the freshness! - Blackened Grilled Local Rock Cod: came with a salad and bread. it was perfectly seasoned and not overcooked.

Highly recommend trying out Princess Seafood if you're in the Fort Bragg area. The vibes were awesome and super chill eating lunch by the water and watching the boats come in and out. We even saw a few seals swim by while we were there!! The food was great and the overall experience was really fun!

Yummy Bay shrimp cocktail and a refreshing beer.

Friendly, efficient service, yummy shrimp cocktail, great clam chowder, and the most amazing fresh crab sandwich! Parking can be a little tricky, but it's worth it. Be sure to check this place out if you're in Fort Bragg!

We grabbed lunch at Princess Seafood to shelter from the rain in Mendocino after exploring in the morning. They have a seafood market nearby and a restaurant where they serve seafood + fish sandwiches and chowder. Ordering is easy at the window and then you get a placecard to put on your table if you're dining in. They have only a few seats inside but there is a fairly big tent area with heat lamps that was comfortable enough to dine in. Luckily we were visiting during dungeness crab season and they had a special of a 1/2 dungeness crab plate which we grabbed along with a crab sandwich + a cup of lobster bisque on the side. It was a cold and rainy day so we also got 2 cups of hot apple cider which turned out to be delicious with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. Simple but turned out to be exactly what we needed as we waited for our food. I loved the lobster bisque which had a nice sweetness and didn't feel too heavy. It was great with the salty oyster crackers and I ended up dipping the cold crab sandwich in the bisque. The crab plate was good as well with plenty of meat in the crab. It was served with cole slaw, buttered bread and melted butter on the side to make it a full meal. I only wish the bread was warm as well. Great spot for a casual lunch in Mendocino. I wish the weather was nicer so we could enjoy the view more but would definitely come back the next time I'm in Mendocino.

This place is a must for tourists and locals alike. 1/2 lb crab on a sandwich, incredible baked oysters and staff that is friendly and Knows the industry well. This place is amazing!

    Kelly H.

We ordered the whole selection of BBQ oysters, clam chowder and crab roll. Everything was amazing and fresh. Really loved trying the highlights on the menu and it was perfect on a cold day.

Arrived at 5 on a Saturday night. Thought the line would be huge, and the ended up about 4 groups in front of me. In no time at all(time enough to peruse the menu and make my choice) I was at the window placing my order. The gal was helping the staff get ready for a party of 8 that had called ahead. Super friendly, and prompt. I took my number and root beer and found a seat. Lots of seating, even as busy as they were. Outdoor seating, some tented with heaters, some outdoors without. There were about 5 seats at the windows inside, which I took one of. The lobster bisque is superb and the seafood Louie salad is perfect. I have had the crab rolls in the past, they are the bomb. I'm not a fan of their NE style clam chowder(it has corn in it) but my family loves it. The fish tacos are also very good, and they give multiple fish options for most items. The salmon burger is also very good, as well as the oysters. Not to mention the view - never disappoints. Something for everyone, it is the spot to go in the harbor!

We ordered clam strips, two battered cod fish tacos and two battered shrimp tacos to share and everything was great, just a lot of fried food for two people! I personally love clam strips and was happy to see this on the menu (I feel it's not super common), but as an "appetizer" order, I would've been fine to get the clam à la carte without fries. The fish was some of the best battered cod I've had in California--tender and buttery fish in itself but the batter was perfectly crispy and actually stayed on the fish (in comparison to some fish n chips where the fried batter just peels off). The shrimp was also good, but in hindsight we should've each just done the fish because it was standout. The sauce and pico complemented both well. Would definitely stop here again if in the area!

It took us a bit to go through the menu, I like to see if I can get a variety of items to add some excitement to the palate.... First up the chef's Clam Chowder, this version had some small dice vegetables, was a good medium thickness, and off white in color. Unfortunately the vegetables and diced potatoes made the clams and flavor secondary, in my opinion. That was followed up with six triangle shape won tons with a tasty mix of shrimp and sauce. Dungeness crab cakes were delivered and we each took one of the breaded and fried 3ounce or so cakes, plenty of crab and they were good. Ceviche was great and plenty of shrimps to enjoy with the house made tortilla chips. The Spinach salad hit the spot and finished our buffet of choices nicely. We took a slice of Lemon cheesecake back to the room for a treat later. The service was attentive, average. Everything was good but I didn't feel as though anything was outstanding. Panang Curry w/ Pork (3.5/5): Pork was a bit overcooked and chewy, but thinly sliced enough to not be a problem. Plenty of vegetables, but a little sparse on the pork unfortunately. The curry itself had great flavor: great balance of sweet, creamy, and savory across the spices and coconut. However, the curry ran very thin and ate more like a soup. Angel Wings (3.5/5): Chicken was juicy and tender, but there was no crunch on the outside and the skin was still the soft / slightly slimy texture. The sauce is a great sweet and salty combo. The side salad wasn't the freshest, but they aren't the star anyways.
