I will be dreaming about this crab pasta for the rest of my life!! Everyone in our party enjoyed their food, and the service was great!

My mom and I came here a couple of times during our trip to Fort Bragg. We were seated pretty quickly and both times we were able sit next to the window to see the beach. The food was pretty good. We had gotten drinks that were pretty good as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant was pretty nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Both the waiters that we had were nice. We had a pretty good experience here.

The Noyo River Grill was my final stop in Fort Bragg. This is Walt from Walt's Adventures. This restaurant by the shore has a wonderful indoor and bar dining area. They do have an outdoor dining area because the two picnic tables are, in fact, outside. However, I doubt the indoor patrons experienced the joy of the waves coming forth accompanied by the calming, periodic sound of a light house. The meals all possessed great presentations. The Noyo Burger was ok while both the Creamy Garlic Chicken and the Fettuccine Noodles were devoured. The Flan dessert was wonderful. The Sticky Toffee Cake, for my tastes was a bit dry but was highly accepted by my daughter. Noyo River Grill has 4 of 5 stars in my eyes for they ended my Northern trip with satisfaction.

    Happy Hour Menu

Great service in the bar for Happy Hour. Had the tuna tartare (on the Happy Hour menu). It was very mediocre. The house Chardonnay was not very good. Happy Hour margarita was good, no complaints. We ordered the ceviche from the regular menu. They should have called it "salsa" because it contained barely any chopped up prawns. I believe the prawns were actually just chopped up prawns that the restaurant uses for its shrimp cocktails. Finally to note as we were walking to our car, we noticed one of the cooks leaving in his car. Before he got into his car, he threw his cigarette into the restaurant parking stall next to him. Really?? So sad that a restaurant cook would do that. Makes you wonder what pride he takes in his own cooking at this restaurant.

Walking distance from our hotel this was a god sent after 280 miles of twisting roads on a motorcycle, [[HIGHLIGHT]]live music, food was amazing and so was the staff, the crab pasta was delicious and so where the drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful views of the bay, not a bad seat in the house![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ahi tartare was so good, as was the clam chowder. Espresso martini 10/10, extra creamy! Irish coffee was more baileys than whiskey, but otherwise great experience.

This was the spinach salad. The person that ate it said it was delicious.

11/2025 - Went to this amazing place for lunch the day after Thanksgiving: we were a party of 13. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The food, the service and ambience were on point![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a kids menu and it's definitely a kid friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a nice bar if you want to have a drink, some appetizers or food as there are tables up there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have delicious appetizers, drinks as well as dessert. If you're in a wheelchair, you would have to eat at the entry level of the restaurant as there is no elevator. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Almost appears to be stadium type seating, so everyone can have a view of the bay/ocean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We didn't have a long wait and the food appeared perfectly cooked. However, the clams were on small side. We would definitely eat at this place again when in town; even for a drink and a quick appetizer.

View is amazing. Beer on draft is always good. Food is okay. Should have skip the dessert menu we had to put in a request for . You can tell the differences in service attentiveness based on appearance. *Sometimes the ghetto looking dude tips better......

    Combo platter, ceviche appetizer, cioppino

Food was wonderful. Combo seafood platter. Excellent seasoning on the breading, not greasy & right breading to seafood raito. Cioppino was wonderful, lots of mussels, Yum. Shrimp & scallops not overcooked, lots of garlic. Only disappointment was that it was not crab season!

Noyo River Grill is a wonderful stop. The food was delicious, the staff was super friendly, and the seafood selection was awesome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was very clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the beautiful hillside views made the experience even better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Glad we stopped by!

We were in town doing a quick New Years trip and decided to try this place out. We made reservations in advance as we were not sure how seating or the wait would be on a holiday week. We were seated in the lower dining area right in front of a window. The views are beautiful overlooking the ocean inlet and the restaurant seating is tiered so there isn't really a bad place to sit. We shared the chowder to start and then we each ordered an entree. We had the crab pasta and the cod piccata with risotto that was delicious. They were pretty busy but the server was attentive and our food came within a reasonable time after the starter. They had some live music upstairs in the bar area. Overall when we visit again we would definitely be back.

Crab pasta was delicious!!! Mushrooms and Dungeness crab. Passsstaaa

Came with a wedding party for a group lunch at Princess Seafood Restaurant on Friday…read more I got the full crab roll with clam chowder and a cherry cider to wash it all down. The crab was sweet and delicious. They definitely did not skimp out on the amount of crab in the crab roll which was great. I liked the creamy and thickness of the clam chowder and was really glad that it wasn't too salty which is usually my fear. I really enjoyed the cherry cider as my beverage. It is refreshing, fruity, and light. It tastes like juice pretty much. Just a nice touch of sweetness and acidity to balance out the meal. I was grateful to the employees for getting our orders out in a timely fashion. There was a bit of a mix up with some of the orders but it happens with big parties and for the most part everything was correct! Overall, I had a great meal here and would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

If you're thinking this place feels like any other seafood place in a tourist town (malibu,…read moremonterey, etc), then prepare to have your viewpoints altered. While the checkered paper, fresh seafood, outdoor seating and walk up to order may all be part of the experience, this is probably the best seafood I've had in one of these beach towns. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, crab sandwich with chowder and blackened cod plate. The shrimp cocktail contains a surprising amount of shrimp for the price - and you can definitely taste how fresh the shrimp is! The crab sandwich was pretty good and light, but I feel like the blackened cod overshadowed everything. The cod was so flavorful, and you get 4-5 pieces. It's a cajun style seasoning where you can taste the spice - to a point it may be a little too spicy for people with low spice tolerance. The bread is buttered and the salad is fresh - you could not ask for a better meal. The clam chowder is a little different from most other places; they add some seasonings and spice to the chowder so it's not the traditional creamy, heavy soup you're expecting. It's like clam chowder premium, I prefer their version over a more traditional version. The view of the turquoise colored water is amazing from their indoor patio, as it's covered in windows. They also have an outdoor patio where you can take pictures of the color. The line to order was quick, but we saw that the line can get long with extended wait times depending on customer numbers. Water is self serve, and you also bus your own plates. When visiting Fort Bragg, you have to come to eat here, for the food, the view, and the service!

After a walk along the coast and an appetite has been acquired, it is a short walk to this small fancy restaurant just off of downtown. Upon entering, there is a small initimate bar, dining area and a patio out back for "al fresco" dining. By San Francisco Bay Area city standards, it is not fancy in the luxurious, posh sense, but here, seafood is the star! First up, Oysters Rockefeller appetizer. Frankly, they could have been prepared any which way - for the oyster fan, they were fresh and delicious! The salmon was good (although a bit overcooked, the waiter didn't ask how it should be cooked). The salmon came perched atop garlic mashed potatoes that were out of this world! The scallops were so fresh and tasty and perfectly paired with polenta and farm fresh asparagus! They also feature Northern California (as in North of the San Francisco Bay Area) wines and beers, something not readily found outside Mendocino County. There was no room for dessert, guaranteeing a trip back to get the full-on meal experience! The environment is convivial. On a late May early evening, there were graduation dinners out back on the patio, an intimate shared dinner with drinks going on in the bar, and ladies who dine in the corner. Another unique aspect of this restaurant is that it is very close (as in feet away) from the Mendocino Skunk train. Diners will experience the train horn, warning signals and small tremors caused by the train chugging by at any time during their meal. There are also people working out on pedal bikes (yes *on* the tracks) to get exercise on their tour of the redwoods in Mendocino! It added to the ambience as an "only in Fort Bragg" experience! We had a great meal and will be going back!

Overall, I was pretty impressed and satisfied by the quality of the food I got. Pricing isn't cheap, but in line with expectations for seafood in an area with a lot of visitors, though portion sizes do veer on the smaller side. Kimchi Crab Cakes (2.75/5): I wanted to like these more than I did, but unfortunately I just thought the kimchi flavor was pretty lackluster and also tamped down the sweetness of the crab. The crab cakes are mostly crab, which is nice, but I'd skip this one. Grilled Oysters w/ Lemon Garlic Butter (4/5): Fresh oysters grilled to order, what's not to be happy about. The garlic was fresh and the oysters weren't fishy; all around solid option. Clam Chowder (4/5): A nice clam chowder. Nothing crazy and good amount of clams. Exactly what you'd expect. Crab Roll (4.25/5): Definitely my favorite item we tried! Super generous with the amount of crab with a bit of creamy mayo and slices of fresh tomato. The bread looks really pale, but it was actually a satisfying fresh, soft roll.
