It has been 2 1/2 weeks and zero return call. I ended up taking my business elsewhere. Please call people back, it doesn't have to be the same hour, but at least within 24-48 hrs. Also, we received an invoice but nothing itemized, no details to what was done or looked at. I thought that was weird.

They didn't charge for the service call and had an estimator, Omar, out here the same day. He laid out all the options and we chose our new HVAC. They scheduled our install for the following week, which is unheard of in this post-pandemic world. Randolph and Bryan showed up on time and were quick in their work. They completed the install and clean up by early afternoon and took measurements for a new custom door to cover the HVAC system. Today Andrey came to install the custom door. He was also quick, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. In fact, everyone involved from start to finish was top notch. The entire process only took three weeks, as compared to five months to replace a broken garage door in 2021 and a year to replace our kitchen in 2022. We already trusted Air Stars because we had them install Mitsubishi ductless units 18 months ago in our granny unit (to replace baseboard and wall heaters and to add A/C). We are very pleased with Air Stars and would recommend them.

Our A/C quit working in the middle of a 100+ degree heatwave. I contacted several companies, but most could not make a service trip to me for several days. I was pleasantly surprised that Whirlwind could make it out the next day. Turns out they are great at what they do. Ivan spoke with me on the phone to discuss what was wrong and what might be the cause that night. The next morning, he was here by 9:30am to trouble shoot. Within an hour the A/C was up and running and Ivan had put everything back as it was. Costs were very reasonable and, more importantly, they were exactly as stated before arrival. I liked most that Whirlwind was great at communicating with me, the customer. Both over the phone and in person. They were clear about the types of problems I could be facing with a 17+ year old system and what the worse case might be (full replacement since my A/C uses a now banned refrigerant). While they checked out the system, they kept me informed every step of the way and I earned a few things. When they finished, everything was put back in place, just as it was when they arrived. Technician was good, polite knowledgeable, Diagnosed my…read moreheat pump system as either furnace blower relay board or sequencer relay. come Monday the calls offers me $1967 repair??? $$$$$ they were going to ordered an entire kit to replace my 15 KW heating coil pack I'm assuming etc. etc. when my only problem was the blower motor relay board, which I found OEM one for 65 bucks, and the sequential relays rectifier boards another $200. I replaced the parts myself 3-year-old unit is running brand new. Took me 45 minutes. So $1650 of what I call rape or profit from their is asinine total price gouging. An average unit replacement for my brand new bought from major supplier warehouse is between 45 and 5500 bucks. I've heard of $800 repairs. They prayed on older people and charged him 15,000 for a new. Installed. If to waste money and have plenty of it be sure and call HVAC otherwise I suggest you steer clear of this one.

Dr HVAC came to fix the AC unit and found the filter needed replacing. I was charged a fair price…read moreof $119 and then told my control board needed replacing for $797.00. I've never done this, but after talking with the owner, I felt suspicious and ended up having someone else come out to assess the problem. They looked at the control panel and found a wire connected to an odd spot. They removed that wire and the control panel started working just fine. I asked the repair man and he told me that my unit could never work with that wire being attached where it was. That was about three months ago and the AC has worked just fine, no repairs needed. The new guys charged me for the service call so I paid for two service calls but still saved $600 by avoiding replacing a control panel that didn't need replacing for $800
