Tim and Eduard (and others on the team) have been and are working diligently to help quiet the noise down for me. I am unfortunately sensitive to noise. The entire team has been VERY prompt in addressing my issues and in coming out to my house. We are almost there in dampening the noise a little further. The sellers had installed 2 new direct-to-consumer brand (Zokop) heat pumps with 4 heads (2 for each) in the home roughly 1 year ago (they are not providing records, but this is a reasonable estimate). After move-in, we noticed an error on the head unit in our son's room. Precision had previously repaired a broken AC at my small business 2 years ago. It was a good experience then, so I was excited to hire them again. They sent 2 technicians to our house, Edgar and Dylan, to service the units and diagnose. Long story short: Dylan broke the fan in one of the good units, which was maybe a year old (per Edgar's estimation based on some technical detail about Freon...you'd have to ask him) and previously working perfectly. He stuck a probe thermometer in the unit to check its efficiency and then caught the fan blade with it as he pulled it out. There was a CRUNCH and 3 bits of plastic fell out. He said "what was that?" and otherwise shrugged it off. No apology. No taking of responsibility, no solution or assessment offered. Completely unprofessional. I stayed calm, paid for their service, and got them out of my house. They assessed the issue with the other unit to be a Freon leak and quoted for repair. Shortly afterwards, I did a small amount of googling and concluded it was likely the fan. The following week, their office called to schedule the leak repair and I asked to speak to the service manager. His name is Wendell. He asked for a photo of the broken pieces (same one I'm posting here) as well as a photo of the label on the unit, which I also provided. He said he'd see what he could figure out. 1 week went by, I called back, he said he couldn't find anything about the unit or source parts, but if I find the part, they could install it. Not a good solution. I stayed calm and said I would think about it. Here's the thing, I'm also a repair-based contractor. Sometimes, I make a mistake and break something. We're all human, but our mistakes are our responsibility. I can't imagine breaking a customer's perfectly good thing and then just acting like, well, nothing I can do. Total BS. You can't find the part? Buy us a new unit. Too expensive? File an insurance claim. You came into my house, broke a new, working thing, and then left me high and dry. Completely unacceptable. Anyway, I thought about it, decided I don't want these clowns in my house again, and I don't want to keep asking them to act like adults with a sense of responsibility. I hired another company to fix the freon leak. They charged $100 more than what Precision quoted me but also did the assessment and repair the same day. That technician verified these pieces are from the "blower wheel," which is just another word for fan. I still have not resolved the issue with the fan Precision broke. They have a responsibility to make this right, but I'm sure it's on nobody's to do list. Maybe they read their reviews?

He scheduled my repair and though two of his techs called in sick the day of my repair, he came out and fixed the heat pump issue. And on his birthday! His quality of work is exceptional. The pricing was very reasonable and he offered me several options which is really nice. Luckily we were able to keep my old heat pump unit going. They quoted for exact replacement which clearly was not what I asked for. New quote was more than twice as much as original estimate once they found out they were installing an upgraded fan. I wanted two fans installed and only ended up installing one fan for about the same price as the original estimate. Minus one star for the communication issue but otherwise the installation went well and now I have a working fan instead of a hole in the ceiling. I appreciate their flexibility with installing a fan they didn't sell me which saved me money in the long run.

When we finally had someone over to service our system for the first time he was very punctual, informative, and courteous, honored our coupon, and did a great job! He answered all our many questions, was very detailed, and even followed up with an email suggesting a product we could install ourselves after discussing our request with the owner. He then went above and beyond but I don't want to be specific because I wouldn't want anyone to expect that level of service every single time - I certainly didn't expect it! (It was a great value as we had the HVAC/AC serviced and a new thermostat installed.)

The one company that will will take me on will not write in a water sewer backup clause, and there is no way I would not have that coverage. Due to the bathtub faucet not being put back together correctly, I had flooding in my kitchen, bedroom closet and master bathroom. Because the tile could not be matched, the entire bathroom had to be redone. Not only did I have 6 months of disruption/construction in my house, I'm now going to pay more in insurance and I don't have the ability to change my insurance without high risk to me financially. I do not recommend this company. Nobody ever reached out to me after the damage, however they did call the Flood Pros without telling me that they had done so when I called in a panic on a Saturday night. The initial reason I called them was to fix an bathtub faucet that was dripping in the tub, and I ended up with a disaster.

While Dane was wonderful in replacing our water heater's anode rod, it was quite bothersome that we…read morehad to pay $250 to have it replaced on a part covered under warranty. The water heater was installed 2 1/2 years ago by Rivival Heating and the anode rod needed to be replaced because "Portland water is so hard and full of minerals". The original quote for labor alone (not covered under warranty) was $340 but we got the manager to bring it down to $250. Still, the water heater is only 2 1/2 years old and that was an expense we did not anticipate when we bought the water heater. The prior one was not broken but when we had Rivival replace our furnace, they strongly suggested replacing the water heater at the same time. The old one never produced brown water but after just two years, the new one did. Maybe the water heater wasn't as good as the previous one? Not sure... Forgot to add, my home warranty service said they could not reimburse me because this is a "warranty issue". And to be truthful, the furnace job was great! Just wish the water heater repair didn't cost me anything. Next year, when it is out of warranty, I'll be able to file for reimbursement from my home warranty provider.
