Technician was good, polite knowledgeable, Diagnosed my heat pump system as either furnace blower relay board or sequencer relay. come Monday the calls offers me $1967 repair??? $$$$$ they were going to ordered an entire kit to replace my 15 KW heating coil pack I'm assuming etc. etc. when my only problem was the blower motor relay board, which I found OEM one for 65 bucks, and the sequential relays rectifier boards another $200. I replaced the parts myself 3-year-old unit is running brand new. Took me 45 minutes. So $1650 of what I call rape or profit from their is asinine total price gouging. An average unit replacement for my brand new bought from major supplier warehouse is between 45 and 5500 bucks. I've heard of $800 repairs. They prayed on older people and charged him 15,000 for a new. Installed. If to waste money and have plenty of it be sure and call HVAC otherwise I suggest you steer clear of this one. read more

Dr HVAC came to fix the AC unit and found the filter needed replacing. I was charged a fair price of $119 and then told my control board needed replacing for $797.00. I've never done this, but after talking with the owner, I felt suspicious and ended up having someone else come out to assess the problem. They looked at the control panel and found a wire connected to an odd spot. They removed that wire and the control panel started working just fine. I asked the repair man and he told me that my unit could never work with that wire being attached where it was. That was about three months ago and the AC has worked just fine, no repairs needed. The new guys charged me for the service call so I paid for two service calls but still saved $600 by avoiding replacing a control panel that didn't need replacing for $800 read more

The techs were friendly, but the company was very slimy in their interactions with us. They caused damage to our heat pump during a routine maintenance/cleaning visit. The owner of the company refused to take any responsibility for the damage. Despite this, he agreed to send out another tech free of charge to see if they could repair the unit. While the tech was here, he confirmed that we would not be charged at all for the repair (which was very expensive). The repair job failed within 24 hours, and we had to go through our home warranty to get a new heat pump. A month later, we received calls from the Dr. HVAC office insisting that we owed money for the repair job, and the owner denied saying we would not need to pay for the repairs. Since we had never agreed to pay for any additional work, we pushed back, and the company consented to cancelling our bill, while still maintaining no fault on their part. Dr. HVAC has been maintaining my home HVAC for years. Their service is excellent. I can rely on them.

1) They tryed to charge me an extra 199.00. The fee for one year was 199.00. 2) When they cleaned my indoor unite of my heat pump is all they did was spray some cleaner from a can then charge me 199.00. They knew that the rollers were dirty and still didn't do the deep cleaning. 3) As they were walking out the door when they were finished the guy said " the next time we come out it will cost 332.00 more" to do the deep cleaning. I should have been told that when I called to get there pricing. Because they didn't do the deep cleaning it has damaged my indoor unite, even though it has been cleaned thoroughly it still makes the horrible smell which I shouldn't be breathing with my respiratory issues. I would not recommend Dr Hvac to anyone. They need to learn the words Customer Service and practice it. read more

The fan unit on our heat pump began working intermittently and was making funny noises. I reached out via Yelp over the weekend, when I knew Dr. HVAC was closed. Long story short: Dr. HVAC called me back on Monday and had a technician out about 30 minutes later. He was diligent and attentive to detail. He quickly diagnosed the problem -- and double-checked to make sure that no other potential cause was missed. He didn't have the needed part in his truck, but got it ordered and told me it would probably arrive by Friday. He was slightly mistaken, in a good way -- the part came in and he returned today (Wednesday) to replace it. He then tested to make sure everything was working properly. Most unprofessional company I've worked with. I bought two maintenance services for $137. The first service went well which is why I give them two stars. They scheduled my second appointment for this morning between 8-9. By 9 o'clock no one has shown up or called to even say they are on their way. So I call the company and they said the technician is leaving the facility now because they were in a meeting. And that they didn't know it would get in the way of our service appointment. Could no one have called to inform us that the tech would be late? And how did the tech or anyone working there not know that they had a client waiting for them this morning. That they put on the schedule! And we live awhile away so it would have put us behind the rest the day when late! Ugh. Not going back to them. read more

I hired Gormley awhile back to fix a leaking outside faucet. I paid them with a check to Gormley Plumbling (obviously). The next month my checking account showed a deduction to Commercial Pippin. I had never heard of this so I had the bank investigate and reverse charges. Then Gormley Plumbing called me and said Commercial Pippin was them. How would know this?? Psychic?? Then for two months my water bill was enromous. I finally thought maybe the leak was not fixed. I went to the hose and sure enough it was running fast. I called Gormley and they sent a guy to fix it (again). They then demanded I pay the bank charges when I stopped payment to Commercial Pippin. My water bills were about $200. The reverse charge was about $25. I was also enttitled to both senior and military discounts but got neither. I have lived in the county for nearly 50 years, always using Gormley. Never again. This company is incredibly dishonest DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I hired them to come out and vacuum out my vents. They sent their technician guy Alex. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my heating or air conditioning, they were working great up until the time he was out in my garage. My house is barely 3 years old so it is new. He either broke the welding on the vent accidentally or on purpose to get more money I don't know which. The welding was broken all of the sudden and oil was spraying everywhere along with a whooshing sound. Now he wanted to charge me over $1000 to fix it. He tried to tell me that the people who did the vents did not weld it but it was inspected and welded when the house was built. Now my house is ice cold. Funny how I had no issues until he arrived. I called and spoke with the manager Marty who quickly dismissed my claim. This company refuses to fix what he broke. I am turning them into the Better Business Bureau. I have another hvac company coming out to take a look at the damage. They said they can tell if the damage was done deliberately. I am a single mother with 2 kids and this company took advantage of me. I guess with covid they aren't getting the money that they want so they use dishonesty to gain more money. Shame on them all. Now we are in the middle of a winter storm and my heating does not work at all because of Alex. He may have damaged it on accident. I know accidents happen. Heat pump / AC failed. First we have only lived in McMinnville for about 10 months, so we are not very familiar with the service providers in the area. Dr. HVAC was able to come quicker than all others I contacted. Our AC failed the evening of June 20th, 2021, a Sunday and a 90° day. Monday was forecast to be 95°, and the upcoming weekend over 100°. So our need was urgent! First thing Monday morning we called our normal HVAC service provider, they plus all others we contacted were not able to come until various times in July 10th+, which we were dismayed about given the forecast! We searched the internet for other local vendors, and found Dr. HVAC, when we contacted them, they were able to come the next day (Tue) so we booked an appointment. On Tue. morning, they contacted us early to ask if they could arrive earlier than scheduled to get an early start on the day, which I am sure was likely going to be a very long day for them, this was great for us and we agreed. They arrived promptly, and got right to work on diagnosing the issue. They found that the run capacitor had failed, and a power relay that had significant scoring and carbon build up on the contacts. They replaced both components and we were up and running in less than an hour. The service person that came happened to be the owner Michael (I knew this from reviewing their web site), he was very professional in all interactions, offered other preventive actions, as well as contract service. I declined this as I already had coverage (you know, the company that could not come until mid-July). I am very happy with the serviced provided by Dr. HVAC, I would happily use them in the future, and will consider a maintenance contract with them in the future, once my existing contract expires. I paid for a spring and winter tune up but forgot who I went with this year and had to go through old files to figure it out. We had a new heat pump installed about 5 yrs. ago in our rental. Recently we had a new heat pump installed in our home. Dr. HVAC personnel performed in a timely manner and very professionally. The man that came out did not seem to know what he was doing. He said maybe it's this or maybe that. He then put dye in the system because he said the coolant was leaking. $400+ later he goes home doing absolutely nothing to fix it. I recently had another person come out from a real company that really does service. The difference was unbelievable he had gauges and checked pressures and took a bunch of measurements on the gauges and wrote the information into the database. He said that his company never uses dye because it damages the system and causes the coolant to degrade. Way less than half the price of this company and a billion times better service. Now that I know what a real company is like all I can say is if you want to throw your money away this is as good a place as any. Half of one star. Not happy at all. They take your money for nothing. I had a bad experience with this company, they replace a 35/5 dual run capacitor in my cooling unit, took about 15 minutes to do the job.The cooling system is fixed But the charge was $272.00 (73.00 for diagnostics and 199.00 for the part and labor.) I did some searching and there is no store online that sells a 35/5 capacitor for more than $28.00 also called Roth's heating and cooling and four seasons and one more company and asked what it would have cost if they would have replaced it. And the charges were ranging from $160-$175. So we called Dr. Hvac and asked about the bill, the next day Mike, the owner , called us back and said it is the usual cost because of all their operating cost (pay their employees, trucks etc.) which I understand. All business are trying to make a profit ,but if the price difference is over $100 it is called overpricing. read more

I don't know that you can be super excited about an heating and air conditioning place, but I have to give Dr. hvac props. First, I am building a house, and Dr. hvac were the sub-contractors who came out to do all the heating and ducting work. They set everything up, but ran into a major problem. The owner of the company came out, looked at the situation, and he personally came up with a solution that would fix the problem. I was so impressed. He travelled a great distance to my construction site, to meet with me. He saw the problem and worked with me until we both agreed on a solution.
