We moved last week and hired Priority Moving based upon reviews we read here on Yelp and also on other sites. We spoke with Derek to set things up, and he asked all the right questions about the type of belongings we needed to move in order to give us the best estimate of the amount of time it would take. Of course, he could not promise it would take a specific number of hours, but he did tell us how long he felt the minimum would be. The crew was on time and did a wonderful job. They took great care with all of our belongings, even being concerned when something fell off a lamp as they picked it up. It was a cheap ($5 at Ikea) lamp which was already broken, but they wanted to be sure we were okay with that. We received calls during and after our move from a supervisor to ensure we were being taken care of. We were very impressed with the crew! Joe, Mark, and Devon were courteous, professional, and worked diligently, always making sure we were happy with their work. They said we were very organized and ready, but we really had a lot of stuff for a 2-bedroom apartment! We only moved 1/2 mile down the street, and Priority Moving made it easy for us. I was referred here by a friend and I sure am glad I was. Zack & Luis were our crew and these guys are part machine, part magician. They came in, scoped out the stuff getting shipped, we went thru the paperwork/process and then they got down to business. Holy crap they are good, we have some oversized stuff in a relatively small condo, they were able to get everything out without a scratch, and moved into our new home with ease. These guys offered tips to help speed up the process which was really great, they weren't sitting around taking their time milking the clock, they worked hard and it was very appreciated. Add to the mix that these guys had to move our stuff during a downpour and they would earn 10 stars if I could rate them on that. Pricewise these guys are money well spent, I will definitely be using them for my next move which hopefully wont be for a little while. We were excited to use this company. Priority Moving thought that they could get our house moved in 8 hours or less. The day of the move and 12 HOURS LATER they were finished. They didn't bring enough trucks. Thank goodness we didn't have to pay extra. Let me share with you the good things about this company, the first 3 men that came to help were very respectful and hard workers. When we realized that they did dent and scratch our refrigerator, Priority Moving bought us a new door although we signed a contract that entitled us to $.60 per pound. Here is the bad part...they added a couple extra men towards the end of the day at no extra expense. They were rude and loud. One of them smelled like alcohol and neither of them wanted to take any boxes upstairs because it was too hard. The movers didn't wrap the refrigerator, the washer and dryer and various other items like or metal garbage can. All were dented and scratched. As my husband and I are unpacking the house over the last month, we keep finding things that they have broke, lost or screwed up. Just a 411. read more

By far the best movers we've used!! They arrived on time at 8 a.m. and called to tell us they were near by. The 3 movers were the most polite movers and worked fast and efficiently. As you know, on moving day, you don't want anything to go wrong, such as complaining movers, slow movers or talkative movers. they were none of these and took good care of our expensive furnishings. They kept thanking us, and calling me sir, and didn't waste time. We had 2 flights of stairs, and never once did i hear a complaint. I was very disappointed after hiring this company based on their Yelp reviews. Truda was very helpful when I called. She did estimate that it would take 4 hours when in fact it took 8 hours, with my husband's assistance. The movers did not appear as "professional" as other reviews had stated. I could have forgiven the extra time & double the estimated price but a few days later I could not locate my brand new macbook computer. After unpacking every box & turning my new place upside down, I realized it must have been "lost" in the move. I called the company who failed to call me back for a few days hoping I would locate it on my own. A few days later I realized that 3 pairs of expensive earrings & gold necklaces (from my dead grandmother) were "missing" from my locked jewelery box. I filed a police report & submitted a claim with Priority on 14 August, I have not received any word back yet & am hoping that they will be paying me more than 60 cents per pound of my 5 lb macbook & jewelery as this doesn't appear to be "lost" or "damaged" property. This has been a very expensive move for me, not to mention the time I have spent filing claims, police reports & searching for original receipts for the missing items. If you consider using Priority, you may want to buy insurance for "lost or damaged" property. read more

When I needed to hire movers for the first time, I did not know where to turn except yelp and I couldn't be more pleased about choosing Priority Moving. Since I was moving from San diego to Los angeles, i definitely wanted to be sure I was hiring ppl that were reliable at a reasonable cost. The feature story on Priority moving on Fox 6 news was great (search on you tube) and helped make my decision on a mover. Reserving the day was easy-peasy and they were even able to squeeze me in on the exact day I wanted. They called the day before my move to confirm. On my move day, Donald and Antonio (my movers) were on-time, efficient, careful,polite, friendly, and professional. With extra hard work, we packed the truck, drove 3 hours to LA (traffic and a truck that only goes about 55 mph), and unpacked the truck, total 8 hours exactly and saved me from paying overtime charges. Other great thing is that Priority Moving starts at 7am sharp whereas other movers start at 8am. They wrapped all of my furniture, and the doorways, put down plastic runway rug to protect the carpet at both my places. The whole operation couldn't have gone any smoother. I definitely recommend Priority Moving and paying for great service and for the peace of mind that your things are in safe hands! read more

Do not use this moving company if you value your property! I have used moving companies 6 times and this is the first and only time I had numerous damaged and lost items. It has been two weeks since I filed my claim, have not heard from them so I called and they tell me they are working on it and they will call me next week. Zero customer service!!! Also, the hydraulic lift on the truck was broken and spilled hydraulic fluid and left a mess in the street. The movers were courteous enough, the problem was the storage facility. I was told my furniture would be put in vaults, which I thought would be packed with me present. Not the case. It was packed on a truck, taken off the truck, thrown into vaults (I can only guess, so much damage) then back on a truck to our new home. Do not store your furniture with them! this is my first yelp review, I really feel I need to warn consumers! read more

Warning-Don't use Priority Moving to help you move! The crew was careless and caused damage to our wood floors and then the company refused to fix or pay for the damage. They didn't cover the floors causing several dents and scratches. I had to call and email customer service several times before they responded. Having said that, Priority Moving has actually moved my household goods three times within the last five years and every time that I have entrusted their services it has been a flawless experience. Yelpers beware. This business is overrated and is Astronomically expensive for what you are getting! I hired two movers to move me out of my first floor 1000 square foot condo to a large 1 bedroom apartment in Bankers hill on the second floor in a gated complex . This should not have been a nine hour event but for this company it was and yes they charge by the minute! My Girl and I helped as we saw how much time it was taking. Beware the estimation of how much they will not go over is close to what you will pay. I laughed when I saw that $1350 was the most I would pay thinking there was no way I would reach this but at $90/hr and no incentive to speed up, I paid the price . The Movers were nice granted and Most everything arrived intact but if I were you I would Keep searching for less expensive options where they actually include some packing boxes in the price. THose Bins are useless for most. read more

This is my first negative review and I feel bad doing it. If I have a bad experience with something I try to think it was just a one off occurrence for me and don't want to damage someone's reputation or business just because something went wrong with me (the whole, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all). Buuuut it's so hard to find good movers I feel like so I thought this honest review, even if negative, might help others out there looking for movers. In the past I have always had friends help me move but this time we wanted to be responsible adults and pay for movers and get to relax. We researched a bunch and decided to go with Priority Moving. They stressed how they carefully wrap furniture, etc. etc. I know I am a pack rat with a surprisingly large amount of things but it only took about 3 minutes for me to realize the 2 guys they sent were going to take a looooooooooooooong time. After observing their extremely slow pace and lack of real logical methods for moving and packing I immediately started moving as much stuff as I could myself. I left them the big furniture but knew if this would be the pace for the day then it would take triple the amount of time they quoted. The mover guys were really nice and funny, which why I was reluctant to do a bad review. But they were just not at all efficient or quick. They used the motorized lift on the back of the truck for everything. To get to my new place's elevator there were 3 steps, a flat landing, 3 steps and then the patio area (thank goodness for the elevator!). They just kept piling things at the bottom stairs to move up to the elevator eventually. And then piling everything at the elevator. So I started moving everything into the elevator, sending it up to my fiancé to pull off and send the next load. They were going to wait until the very end then spend the whole time waiting on the slow elevator. Plus they were just soooooooo slow. I was seriously lapping them! And to avoid even potentially slowing them down by taking the elevator I took the four flights of stairs every time up and down (they always took the elevator). I honestly think I moved more than them and we still had to pay a lot in over time. They also didn't bring any water for themselves. I wanted to make sure they stayed hydrated, with all the heavy lifting and such, so I was happy to give them water, but found it odd for someone who is a professional mover to not have a ton of water they keep in their truck, I know I certainly would! And the main reason we used them was because they stressed about how they wrap furniture and make sure it's protected, etc. etc. I think they wrapped 1 couch and maybe 1 other piece. A lot of our things got dinged up but the process to get any reimbursement for that is nearly impossible/an inconvenient process to not get much money. 2 stars are for the fact the guys were really nice and the other is for the wardrobe boxes they provided which really helped. read more

This was the first time that I hired movers for an in-town move and they were great! I hate moving and the stress of it all. They were professional and fast and respectful. They wrapped the all furniture and were conscientious of my cat (who was really interested in what was going on for about 5 minutes, and then went back to sleep). My wife and I were extremely happy with the move. Mark, Joe, and Royal were very nice and polite -- they kept calling me "sir" even after I asked them to just call me by name! They worked at a great pace the whole day. I was very surprised at the speed they worked, they took huge amounts of heavy boxes down the stairs at our apartment, it was impressive. They asked many questions to make sure they were doing everything to our expectation. I was also very happy to see them wrap pretty much everything in heavy moving mats which protected everything quite well. Even with this step, they finished the initial load very quickly. The final price was great too, it came in less than the estimate Truda provided us, which is always a good thing. We were so relieved to have them take care of everything, it made moving very unstressful and to have everything here after only a couple of hours made our decision to hire Priority a great one. This was the worst moving experience I've ever had. I used this company because the HOA had pre approved this company and I couldn't regret it more. Not only were they extremely slow but they damaged numerous items and lost some. Make sure you purchase the full insurance otherwise they only reimburse you .60/lb. For our $1500 grill that has been damaged beyond repair we received $190. Everything that I had mentioned was damaged was severely undervalued. We had an expensive fan that was taken. I would advise anyone considering using this company to look elsewhere. I have no idea how they have 4 stars. read more
