It was a pleasure to work with Coast to Coast for our move. I did a walk through with Jennifer and received a reasonable estimate between $1,100 to $1,200 for 3 movers, one truck, and 7 hours to move a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom house into a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. The final price I paid was around $1,500 with tip. We worked with Anthony, Patrick, and Micheal. They arrived at 9:15 am, carefully wrapped, packed and loaded up everything efficiently in about 4 hours. Anthony consistently checked in with us about which items were being moved and when a room was completely cleared. Both locations were less than 3 miles apart so transporting our stuff did not take long. The team unloaded of the truck into our new place in about 3 hours. They were very fast and efficient. They had great communication. For example, as they moved stuff in, they asked where we would want boxes placed. Even when it was time move heavier furniture into the apartment, they would make space and put furniture in the right place. I would use Coast to Coast for a future move. Not very professional. They were supposed to provide a formal quote after the walk-in but never got back to us. UPDATE: I was later told they had sent a quote four days after our meeting. I checked my junk mail at the time and didn't find anything, so it's a fact that I never received the email. My review is honest and based on these facts. I even requested a screenshot of the email, but instead of providing it, I received a series of angry messages, at which point I stopped responding. I believe they are a good company and do quality work, as evidenced by their positive reviews. However, their handling of this situation and their response was, in my view, unprofessional. A simple, kind reply and a re-sent email would have resolved the issue, but that never happened. read more

This update to my previous review is an acknowledgement that I made a mistake in accusing Coast 2 Coast Moving of losing my 4-drawer file cabinet and then dumping me off to a 3rd party to investigate my claim, which is still in progress. There is another company with a very similar name, Coast 2 Coast Relocation, that I dealt with. The paperwork was very misleadingly printed, along with email and website addresses: .....@coast2coastmove.com (instead of "...reloca-tion.com.) Additionally, 2 other people were hired to empty my house, pack, locate, and deal with movers. So, please be very careful that you don't make a similar mistake when you select your mover. Coast 2 Coast did a cross country (CA to MA) move for us. After all the horror stories I've heard of people moving, I never expected the physical move to be the least stressful part of our moving process. But Coast 2 Coast exceeded my expectations in cost, efficiency, communication, and professionalism. I put in an online request for a quote on a weekend, and the owner came out Sunday evening to do a walk through. The quote came in at literally half of what I was quoted from another company the day before. Scheduling the move was an easy online process and they were SO communicative throughout the whole process. I got a call the day before with a time estimate, and they were 10 minutes early. It took the team less than 6 hours to pack our whole 4 bedroom house, 2 garage stalls, and a bunch of outdoor patio furniture and a grill. We did a lot of packing things in the house ahead of time, but left all the breakable items, kitchen stuff, and art work for them to pack. They advised me ahead of time that they would be prepared to do a full pack and move (the packing part does cost extra for materials/time but they got me a very fair quote, and suggested I could pack some on my own for cost saving. They even suggested where I could get moving materials to save even more!). They were also flexible with drop off address, as we were in the process of buying a house in MA and were unsure of the move in date. I got a few text updates from the driver about where they were along the way and updated ETA's. He again showed up 10 minutes early, ready to go. The whole house was unpacked in about 4 hours, and they helped us decide how to arrange furniture too (I asked for recommendations!). They even gave us a sweet welcome home gift when they were done unpacking! They didn't break or lose anything and were very careful with all our stuff. Like I said, I was so stressed about the physical move, but Coast 2 Coast delivered their service well beyond my hopes and expectations! I recently moved and I used Yelp to send the project to multiple moving companies around San Diego. Coast 2 Coast was very responsive. Getting a quote was very easy. Their prices were very reasonable, no surprises. They were very transparent about everything. We moved from a 1 bedroom on the second floor, and our couch had to be hoisted over the balcony. It was an additional charge, but again, completely reasonable compared to other companies I reached out to. They worked quickly and Efficiently, and did not waste time. After getting three different bids from three different companies, and a very short turnaround time for what I needed, I chose Coast2Coast. I'm met with Jessica and we went through and reviewed all that I had to move and she was very prompt in getting me the info I needed with the quote, I was also very grateful because I basically only gave them a weeks notice and they were able to do it with no problem which I was very grateful for! Easy move. We had less expensive bids from Moving Brokers but our research caused us some concern not knowing the moving company the Moving Broker would assign our move to. We continued to search and we were fortunate to find Coast to Coast Moving. Most movers will promise to get you to your next destination in 10-14 days. Coast to Coast moved us from San Diego to Portland was 2 days. The move went as promised and as scheduled. Jessica (the owner) is outstanding and you can tell that she understands that moving is stressful and that she cares about you and about minimizing your stress. Conner, our driver was the team leader and was the best during loading, the drive, and unloading. Wherever you live if you can find a local company-owned or family-owned moving company with good reviews you will be much happier. They went over and above what we expected (loading up the contents of our chaotic garage, which hadn't actually been prepped for movers, in a jiffy); disassembled and reassembled large, complex furniture with astounding speed; treated our belongings with care; and came in under the quoted budget on top of it all!
