I have hired Dominant Movers twice for the last 2 years and they were amazing both times. I worked with different teams and each time my furniture was moved with the most care, they carefully wrapped all furniture and unwrapped at delivery location. They also built the beds and arrange everything perfectly at my destination address. Like all the companies in California they charge hourly for local moves but they worked super efficiently so I dont have any complaints about billed time and were able to get the move done within estimated time. On the 2nd move they also helped me with packing fragile itens and some other misc into boxes and i can say that their guys are good at packing. My movers were Alexander, Marco & Luis on last move. Unfortunately I dont remember the other crew that helped me in 2024. But I will definitely hire them again and reccomend to anyone, who is looking for quality moving services. read more

If I could give this place a zero star I would. I WILL NEVERRRR recommend this moving company to anyone in my life. This was the worst experience I've ever had with any type of moving company in my life. They broke my brand new child lock dresser for my daughter and put multiple cleanable stains and marks on my brand new white U couch. I've even taken pictures of the footprint from their workers on my white couch. When I did reach out back to them to get a refund for all the damages, they sat there and tried to deny everything when I spoke to someone on the phone with their company. They were extremely rude and literally arguing and yelling back with me on the phone super unprofessional company. I paid over $600 and tipped their movers just to get my stuff broken and damaged without replacement. It took me multiple weeks of going back-and-forth and threatening to sue for them to not even give me half the amount that I needed to replace my things that they damaged. The package that I paid for also included FREEE wrapping of my furniture then when they came to move my stuff, I kindly ask for that Free wrapping that was included in the package and they told me that they charge extra for that, but it clearly states online in the package that it's free. PLEASE DO NOT hire this moving company unless you want your things broken and if you want to be scammed for your money. I was beyond nice with their movers. I offered them water cause it was a really hot. I kept my AC on in the house for them with the doors open going in and out I tipped their workers and then they go and do all this bullshit to me. Dominant Moving Company came highly recommended to me by my real estate agent and also my friend. I hired them to provide full packing and moving services of my 2-bedroom condo locally in San Diego. My movers were Mario, Luis, Javier, and Francisco. These guys were able to do a complete packing and move-out and delivery all in one day. I did not have much furniture to move but quite a bit to pack. Everything was done with good care and attention to detail. All boxes labeled and all fragile items made it safe. I see that they don't have the best rating here on Yelp, but I recommend them all the way because they provided a 5-star service. My parents in their mid 80's hired this company to move them from a large home into a smaller home. Unfortunately the estimate of hours was grossly underestimated, and was 2.5 times the original estimate. Roman estimated it could all done in one day, including delivery to a storage unit. A few days before the move, my Father contacted them again and said are you sure about your estimate and time frame? Roman said yes, he looked at his notes and it would be fine. The actual move took 2 full days and resulted in them not being able to fulfill their agreement of putting furniture back together. The house was left unsafe for elderly residents, with difficult pathways. While, I agree, there was a large amount of stuff moved into a smaller home, at no point did they inquire as to the size of the new home. A substantial amount of items were left on the patio and in the driveway in addition to what was randomly placed in the home. When I contacted Roman, he did offer to send someone to assemble the furniture, but my husband and I had already done it. Best Moving Company, I've ever used and believe me I moved quite many times for the last 10 years by myself and with my family. This is my 4th move between Sacramento and San Diego. Now I am back to Sac. Another three moves were local and I did with another companies, my last move was a disaster and surprisingly it was done by the moving company that only have 5 star reviews. For this move, After carefully checking a few companies, I have decided to go with Dominant Moving Company. Their pricing was higher than many others but it turned out that one of colleagues used their services just about a month ago and was happy with service as well. First, A phone conversation with their move consultant Tony was very productive and I was able to have all my questions answered. I ve had a three bedroom condo to move and I needed to do it before New Year. Dominant was able to schedule my move, however 5 days before I get a note from landlord that I can not move in and had to wait another week at least. Tony quickly rescheduled the move without any fees and with no increase in price. As for my move, we moved our of 3 bedroom townhouse but one of bedrooms was almost empty, so we can say I was a 2 bedroom townhouse, moving into a single level house in West Sacramento. All my belongings filled about 2/3 of their 26 Ft Truck. Picture attached. Three Movers arrived early in the morning to finish up packing just a few boxes, and immediately started loading boxes into the truck. Then they protected my furniture with their plastic and blankets. Loaded everything for about 4 hours and headed to Sacramento. Next morning at 8.30 am they were already at the door. It was only 2 movers for unloading part, but it was agreed before because unloading takes less time and there was no stairs and I had nothing that 2 movers could not handle. They set everything up in my house for about 4 hours. So by afternoon of the following day I could already have a dinner with my family at the same table and sitting on the same chairs and couch, but 500 miles away from San Diego. 5 Star Service from Dominant Moving Company. They moved us 4 times all together and for the last year alone they did three moves. First move was about 4 years when we moved into a rental home. Third move was helping my sister moving to Temecula her 2 bedroom apartment from Chula Vista. And last one was moving my 80 year old Mom to a Senior Community in Carlsbad just last week. The movers that company sent us for last 3 projects were Javier, Francisco and Alex plus there was another mover on the 1st move. But I don't remember his name. And obviously I don't remember the guys names from 4 years ago. But all of the movers were organized, they came with a big clean truck with giant red logo on it and with all moving equipment. Dozens of blankets, movers worked efficiently and with care. To compare with other movers, I used a different moving company in the past like about 6 years ago and those guys had a perfect 5 Star rating, but unfortunately they came with a small dirty truck, one dolly for 3 guys, worked very slow and did not care about our things. I won't disclose their name, but just be aware when you see only 5 star reviews. I booked my move with this company. We agreed on 440 dollars for 3 hours with 3 movers, which they confirmed in a text message. However, when the movers arrived, they said the 3 hours was just an estimate, and I would have to pay more than double what we agreed on. Their boss, Roman, called me and was extremely rude, using profane language and threatening to cancel the service and charge me the full amount of 440 dollars if I didn't accept the new terms. He also insisted I pay him in cash once they loaded my stuff, rather than at the end of the service. They ultimately left without providing any service and charged my credit card $500. The moving company sent reminders up to the move day with all the details I needed to know about the move. They have a website with a portal that shows all of the details for the move. The movers arrived in their arrival window and were very friendly. They were efficient in the move and, since I packed absolutely everything, I awkwardly sat around and out of their way while they did all the heavy lifting. The quote provided was an estimate for how long it was going to take. There was also an hourly rate so I knew what it was going to cost if they went over the estimate. They came in right on target. And 2 years ago they helped me move twice, once my home move and another time it was commercial office move of my law firm.  They always wrap all my furtinute, provided free Wardrobe boxes, disassembled beds and dining table and put everything back together. I hired Dominant Moving Company for a small local move of 1 bedroom place from Mira Mesa, San Diego to North Park. Movers did a great job moving all my items in just under 4 hours. The price I paid was very reasonable and did not exceed the amount  I expected to pay. They protected all the furniture and wrapped mattress with plastic bag, disassembled a queen size bed and put it back together at the new place. Also they provided Wardrobe Boxes for FREE. Scheduling an appointment was very easy, I provided the list of items through their website. Then spent no more than five minutes on the phone, got all the answers and booked the job. I originally almost hired another moving company that just only have five star review on Yelp and were about 20 percent cheaper, but then I saw a  Dominant Moving truck with a giant red logo on it They were moving my neighbor and I watched guys working for about half an hour from my balcony and was very impressed, they worked very efficiently and moved everything with care. So I decided to give them a call. Roman took my call and quoted 3 movers and 1 truck for 2 Bedroom house, he explained me everything about the double driving, fuel fees and all liability policies. Their Yelp reviews weren't perfect but majority of them were Five Stars and a lot of them were about moving a place that is similar to ours. So i decided to hire them, even that they were a little more expensive. They showed up at the day of the move with a big truck, disassembled my beds, wrapped furniture with blankets and plastic shrink wrap and loaded everything into the truck for about 4 hours. Once they arrived to the new place, they asked where I want all my furniture and followed all my requests. They put together all the beds. They also provided me with wardrobe boxes for free. It was a very convenient, cause I just hung my dresses inside the box. Very professional, very energetic and positive movers. I requested quotes from tons of places and this company communicated quickly, offered multiple rates depending on what we needed, and were super professional. Roman scheduled our move and was available for any questions we had and I was able to contact him multiple times before move day. Our movers showed up with a big truck and ready to work attitudes. They were extremely professional and carefully wrapped up my late mother's items with extra care, which means a lot when you want your sentimental items protected. I have never written a negative review in my life, but this experience was a nightmare. The movers themselves were very nice, but they destroyed my new mattress while trying to move it upstairs. They assured me that their boss would reimburse, so we bought another one and called him. Roman was extremely rude and unhelpful. He offered to refund the move, but the mattress was $2500. He offered to pay $90 for it. When we told him we would take him to small claims court if he didn't give us his insurance info, he laughed and said, "okay...see you two years!" If I called put -negative five stars...I would! The WORST moving company and management I have EVER experienced. I used the company previously (1 year ago) for a SMALL move and decided to rehire for a bigger job. I inquired about a 2Br/2Ba move from Mission Valley to the Chula Vista area. WORST DECISION EVER!!!! DO NOT DO IT, despite all of the great reviews if you plan on moving anything more than one bedroom. First off I called to make my appt, I asked if he believed 2 movers were enough and completely laid out everything I had specifying the number of boxes as well as the larger items. I was assured that two movers were more than enough and would be able to move all of my item to the truck in 2.5 hrs max because everything was already packed and sat aside. NEGATIVE! First of all, the movers showed up.. started the time around 1055 AM and took a good 30 mins at the truck... doing what, I have no idea. I will say one of the movers was fast, but the other was very inexperienced and just overall lazy to the point that my Husband and I felt so bad, we opted in to try to help out. Overall the time it took to move a SMALL 2BR/2Ba to the truck was a total of 4.5 hrs..SO, finally we are done with the first portion of this job. As we split up to make the transit to the drop off location, we get a call about 30 mins later that their vehicle is having issues and they are on the side of the road. My first thought is (DO THEY NOT INSPECT VEHICLES PRIOR TO THEM MOVING PEOPLES VALUABLES AND ALSO DO THEY NOT HAVE BACK UP PLANS IN THE EVENT SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS). So it is about 4:30 pm when we get this call. THEY REMAINED ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND DID NOT GET TO MY HOUSE UNTIL ALMOST 9pm!!!! I was livid and the managers were completely unbothered and unsympathetic to the whole thing. They had no back up plan or idea on what to do in this situation. 9pm and they finally came being lifted by a tow truck... still had to wait a couple of hrs to unload. Smh this had to be the worst service we'd every experienced. And on that note.. we still had to pay full price and some of our furniture (wood) was chipped! I will NEVER use this company again.
