June 23, 2025 Needed to check & service AC system. Kelly…read morelooked at electrical, seemed ok. His assistant, a nice young trainee, cleaned the outside exchange screen unit. Then, my smart thermostat was discovered to be faulty. I asked for a similar smart thermostat. Kelly said he didn't like those and recommended his favorite- a manual control programmable. Being without air on 85 degree day, I agreed. He charged me $130 for the service call and $160 for the thermostat. The "new" thermostat failed after about 3 days so I called him and requested replacement with smart thermostat again, which he said was $50 higher (now $210 for the thermostat !) In the meantime, I checked local RETAIL prices on the defective therm he installed = $44; and the RETAIL price of my replacement smart therm = $90. I felt he should make it right by replacing his bad one with the better one at no additional cost. Still giving him a $70 markup. I felt he was grossly overcharging, under serving, defensive, argumentive, and somewhat hostile when he said " you either pay me the extra $50, or I'm not coming". So much for his website saying "Our prices are always fair, and we even offer a senior citizen discount." No senior or veteran discount was even considered or offered. My lowest cost option was to accept his threat and "get it done". I've been cheated and mistreated before and usually "fight" it, but he had me over a barrel. No apology for the inconvenience, the therm failure, no senior or other discount, no consideration at all for his customer. He only wanted to rip off as much money as he could. His teenage assistant was the most helpful in resetting the smart therm app for me. I'm wondering- Should I recommend, or reuse Kelly again??? I think not, and don't recommend others to use him. The only reason I got it was because my furnace went out and I live in a mobile home. Not a lot of people work on mobile home units. I understand that. Lately it's been 76 or as high as 84 degrees in my home. Now ask yourself Aspen Aire, would that be acceptable in your home??? I've talked to Alex multiple times and emailed Craig and conveniently no one will call. They've said "it seems to be working" . At the start of this summer they found a huge HOLE in my ceiling that was never taken care of when the new unit was installed. They won't claim they made the hole but it wasn't ever finished until recently. I did get an inspection done and now it's concluded that possibly the duct work isn't correct. I will post this on every social media form to warn people against using them in the hopes of saving someone the mess I have.

I was yelled at by the receptionist and told I am not doing this take your business somewhere else, your bill will be wiped. I called whom i believe is the owner that i was talking to get a quote. I was then lied to and yelled at by him. Was told when trying to get quote i would have to be called back because no one was in the office then I was just told he was in the office the whole time and heard the entire conversation. When I called this time I was told I was in the office for the entire conversation and don't agree with how she handled it. In the same breath I was asked if I could be called back because he was getting out of his truck. This company should only be called in a dire emergency where no one else can/will come.

We have been having an incredible cold spell with negative temperatures during the last week. I called the number left on the business recording (closed on Saturday) and Kevin (owner) said he'd be out in a half hour. Kevin shows up, realizes the problem and has the unit corrected, fixed, and running within an hour or so. He explained the issue and exactly what he needed to do to correct it.
