Where you order
Adam S.

We drove by this place while in town for the weekend and decided to give it a shot. We ordered the combo which had half a rack of ribs, a half of chicken and two sides which we got baked beans and salt potatoes. We also grabbed an order of fries. We paid $29 (cash only) for lunch for the two of us and we both enjoyed it. When we arrived with two other customers the music was on and it was blaring loud‍ and then while waiting on our food they decided to play a political commercial which we found strange. We decided to take our food back to our camp site because of the way to loud music and weird political propaganda. I'm all for a good restaurant but please don't push your political agenda while I'm patronizing your establishment trying to enjoy some food and have a good time. The food overall was good but I'd suggest taking it home otherwise things might get loud and creepy

So just a drive and saw a little almost shack on the side of the street. Saw BBQ and said let me try it. You can smell it as your driving. So quickly did a turn around. And it is a small little place that does most of there sides it seems inside but the grilling is all done outside. Ribs wrapped in foil. Let's say there doing it right. Pricey. But well worth the amount of great food with lots of flavor. The fries were great topped with cheese and pulled pork. Which the pulled pork sandwich was great. Roll was nice and soft. But back to the fries. If you have fries that are topped with anything you better have some good fries that cook well and taste good. And these were perfect. A great base vessel to support the cheese and pulled pork. I hope on trip home I take same road back to stop there again.

Don't pass by this place without trying the swamp fries, mmmm, good! Wonderful people serving delicious food at a fair price. Even the disposable eating utensils are quality. Coming back for sure!

Saw this place on our way to Watkins Glen and immediately decided to stop after hiking. Best decision ever. Hubs and I split a half rack of ribs with fries and coleslaw, which was plenty for us to share. Everything was so good. Ribs fell off the bone and were smoky and tangy, covered in sauce. Coleslaw was creamy, crunchy, tangy. And the fries were fresh cut, boardwalk style. The ambiance was great. Side of a highway next to a rock wall, three plastic picnic tables to sit at, cars whizzing by, smoke from the grills wafting in the air. Do yourself a favor and stop here after your Watkins Glen hike. It will make all the stairs and crowds well worth the visit. You know, in addition to nature's splendor.

Not worth it. Steamed ribs with overpowering spice. Side seemed store bought and prepackaged. Small portions

Awesome ribs, excellent chicken, good sides. No frills, picnic tables next to a busy highway, but you are here for the food. The real deal.

Food: since I wasn't from the area, I asked a local who said that their go to is Swamp Fries so we gave it a try.

The like was long - post even about 45 minutes but it was expected. got a buzz on my phone and it was off to the proverbial races !!! Nice combo indoor/ outdoor bar with patio with an open face to the building and architecture. Drinks while waiting were strong and affordable. Our waitress was warm and welcoming. She made us feel VIP the entire evening !!! The Bbq brisket and ribs were delicious and the Mac and potato salads were very tasty. I recommend the corn bread with the maple butter. Lots of sauces to choose from. The meats were a riot of Smokey goodness. If you're in Watkins be sure to stop in. PS. Probably the best most thought out to go packaging I have ever seen. I really appreciated the thought behind it. No plastics, no wax cups. Cardboard with vents so your food doesn't get soggy on the journey home also included a bag to put it all in without asking. Top notch. picture included.

I ponder the menu, it's a decent sized menu, with a good amount of items I decided to go for my old standby, the poutine. I put in my order, and he brings it back quick. It was a decent portion. The fries were well seasoned, crispy on the outside, yet tender on the inside. They were very good. The gravy. Was just the right texture. Not too thin, and not too thick. It was a good quality gravy. It had a deep rich flavor. The one problem, is that there was a very small amount of the cheese curds. They were basically not even the full cheese curds, just little chunks here and there. What cheese curd I got was good, there just was hardly any of it. Let's face it. Poutine without cheese curds is just "gravy fries." Even though there was hardly any of the cheese, curds, overall, it was still a good meal. I left stuffed. Poutine and a soda, the price was reasonable. I would like to try some of the other items on the menu. Thanks.

We discussed what I wanted and then she recommended local wines to pair with my meal. Everything here is farm-to-table and the quality of the ingredients are what stood out in this experience. I started off with an order of the house sourdough bread. Nothing fancy, but everything I wanted. For an appetizer, I ordered the PEI Muscles as recommended by my waitress. These were Prince Edward Island mussels, cilantro and garlic in a red curry cream sauce served with warm baguettes. This was incredible. The flavors, the sauce, the crispy bread, it all went so well together. For my main I ordered the Duck Margaret. Dry rubbed duck breast, rosemary polenta, asparagus, pickled celeriac, and a side of ancho chili sauce. This dish was on their specials menu for the day however I have seen it listed on their website previously. The duck was tender and juicy, the asparagus cooked to perfection, and the polenta took this dish over the top. For me, I was not loving the ancho chili sauce, so I was very thankful to have this on the side. Graft is currently rated a 9.9 on my Beli and this is all thanks to their excellent service and the fresh high quality ingredients they use to prepare their food.

Didn't mind too much because we didn't have to be anywhere though so enjoyed savoring our drinks and people watching since we were on the sidewalk. Perfect fall night for just that. For cocktails, we got the Lakewood sparkling And a glass of red wine. The sparkling went great with the Mussels we got for our appetizer. Also enjoyed our entrées of Halibut and Chicken. The halibut was definitely better and more interesting. The chicken was fine just not as much flavor. Probably wouldn't order it again.

I was over my friend's house at Watkins Gleb figuring out what to eat at 8pm. My friend recommended…read morethis place and said it was bar food. My first reaction was: "bar food?!?!?!" Usually bar food is terrible. But she said this place actually makes great food. And I said OK, I'll give it a try. My friend's go-to order is Philly cheesesteak, so I ordered the same thing on a wrap. The sandwiches and wraps comes with chips and they add an extra charge if you substitute it for fries or onion rings. My friend's husband got the deal for a delmonico steak and 2 sides for $19. We also got chicken fingers and fries for her kids. We called in the order, and they said it would be about an hour. Which is fine since we were in no rush and they were probably busy. The food was ready when we went to pick it up an hour later. Our whole order came to around $66 with tip. The food was hot and came in these Styrofoam boxes. There was a very large generous portion of chicken tenders, and the fries looked good. The Philly cheesesteak looked interesting as they used ground beef instead of thinly sliced steak. The onion rings were huge, and the chips looked like fresh kettle cooked chips. The Philly cheesesteak tasted ok, I think it's better than a sandwich rather than a wrap. I only ate half but was still very full. The onion rings were very crispy, and tangy sauce that came with the onion rings reminds me of the Burger King onion ring sauce but better. It was pretty good. We ordered the delmonico steak with fries and Mac & cheese. The Mac & cheese was really good, it tasted fresh, and was made with sharp cheddar cheese, and it was really melty. The chicken tenders were amazing. I haven't had chicken tenders this good in years. They were not dry at all, and were flavorful. The only downside is my friend says sometimes depending on the chef, the food might not be that good. But it seems like for now if you go on a Saturday night you'll have amazing food!
