They came by a few times to try to fix the air conditioners that geckos broke and still couldn't fix them as of this last visit. That in itself wouldn't have prompted the negative review; after all, sometimes problems are hard to understand. What's not hard to understand is that in the middle of the Delta surge, with 700 new cases daily, it is proper to keep your mask on at all times while inside someone's house! I can't comprehend why, despite multiple reminders from me and my dad, this guy Mike thought it was okay to pull down his mask below his chin while on the phone with tech support, spewing potentially toxic aerosols all over my bedroom while my dog was inches away. I was the requisite six feet but still not safe as Delta is more contagious and we were indoors. I feel violated and contaminated, my anxiety is through the roof, and if my dogs or I get sick because of his recklessness, I'll be livid. I haven't had anyone else in my house this summer other than my parents, and we don't hang out masklessly with friends even outdoors, so I should not have had to be put at risk like this, a concern my family was more than clear about before inviting this company over. If you are immunocompromised or just extremely risk averse, don't even think of having this company over. read more

I had a AC that was leaking water and was in need is some general maintenance anyway so I figured why not kill 2 birds with one stone. I called and spoke to Rochelle who is very nice and easy to deal with. Making a scheduled appt was a breeze. Josiah came right one time with his mask and got right to work. He looked young but worked like he had lots of experience. I think I'm pretty handy and watched a few YouTube videos on how to. I got the first 2 screws out and that's about it. Just got 8 Mitsubishi splits installed today! We thought it would take several days for installation, but this awesome crew finished our project in one day! Professional from our first meeting with Billy for the estimate to installation today! And the BEST part is that Billy came back today to do the installation with the crew! I contacted a bunch of companies to replace my ancient Rheem (10SEER) that was using up all my HECO credits. I narrowed it to 4 companies based on reviews and pricing. Each company answered my many questions I had and were prompt in responding. After reading many reviews and going over the pricing, I decided to go with Pristine based on their reputation, pricing and how Jason explained everything during the site survey. The central a/c model I decided on was Trane XV20i which wasn't in stock because not many people want to spend the extra $ on it, so I had to wait about 2 months. A few days before my scheduled installation date, Billy gave me a call and wanted to perform a site survey to make sure everything is ready for the install. I thought that was good idea to do because he could spot potential problems. Billy and Jason (different Jason) were very prompt, the day the installation came! The both of them were very professional, honest, and courteous which makes a world of a difference these days. It took them about 5 hours from start to finish and they didn't even stop for lunch! Billy will also give you a follow up call later in the day to see how things are running and if their are any problems. My husband and I just moved back to Hawaii and unfortunately are renting a house owned by someone that doesn't want to pay to fix anything. RETURN VENT was not cleaned and it was FULL OF THICK DUST .. AIR was not going thru Vents. We have Central Ac in our home and have the System serviced every six months! Guy was there 20 min... i thought GREAT.., then a couple weeks later .., i noticed Grill never was wiped so I decided to wipe it and looked up into it... Disgusting!!! AIR was not Returning thru the vent... completely clogged... i took off Grill and my vacuum filled to the MAX with thick CLUMPS OF DUST!! It came down in thick strings !!! We took pictures! I started the process of hunting for a professional air conditioner repair company by looking at yelp reviews. Pristine Air Conditioning came up with consistent 5 stars. Over the course of a year they came out countless times to do minor repairs and check my AC. When it was on it's last breath of air we scheduled an appointment for a full replacement. Billy and his crew came out earlier than scheduled, they were extremely professional and were able to get the entire job done in about 3 hours despite my AC unit being located in the most difficult to reach area of my attic and that too on the 3rd floor. Billy was also very keen on inspecting the surrounding area, he found mold and immediately alerted me and gave some available contractors who could quickly handle the mold removal. I only cleaned the filters that was caked with dust and black mold. Gerald was very honest and rather than over charge did what he could to not damage old parts not available any more. Although it took almost two months to schedule a complete replacement of my Rheem unit which has the main unit in the ceiling, I was at their Sand Island offices to put my down payment and saw their "wall" of Scheduled Work Orders. It was a big wall and was covered. That told me that I was with the right company. I was lucky and got a cancellation and today the unit was taken out and a newer unit was installed. Billy and his installation crew arrived around 0900 and got right to work. I tried to make room but the unit is above the washer/dryer. The guys moved out the W/D and got to work. There was no wasted time all three were busy doing something. This install was like trying to put "the glass slipper" on Cinderella's step sisters foot. It was a tight fit but they did it. Clean up was finished and additional work was schedule to button up the opening of the unit. Unfortunately the old unit was "Landscape" the new unit was "Portrait" and the fitment needed additional attention. Billy and his crew worked well together, and I now have a more efficient and cost saving unit that with regular maintenance will last me for the next ten years all under warranty. I live in Mililani Mauka, Oahu. For airconditioning 2100 sq ft I got 8 estimators to visit the house. I had quotes from diamond dealers of mitusbishi and fujitsu ; greer and daikin. Also got a friend who is a commercial AC repairman to pull quotes from Cosco for Daikin units so i knew exactly what each unit cost. For 3 outdoor + 6 indoor handlers i received quotes ranging from 14.5k to a whopping 26k (for the SAME daikin units)! 2 estimators said it would take 3 days ; 5 said 2 days. The 8th and last estimator i had was Billy from Pristine AC. With the previous 7 estimates i had walked around with the estimators getting educated and developing ideas of how the drainage pipes would flow, where the power would run from, the best location of the air handlers in each room, to use sump pumps or not, avoiding piping on front facade of the house and finally which combination of single zone vs multizone to use. Billy took under 20 minutes to scope out the house inside out and suggested nearly the same setup i had in mind. On the way out he pointed out he had done the neighbor's house also. Later i also talked story with the neighbor to get feedback and it was 5 stars. 2 days later i received the written estimate from Pristine which was 3k more than my lowest. Another thing which stood out : each unit's individual price + labor cost was given. All my other estimates did not have this - they lumped together and showed only the total cost or grouped ac+unit plus labor into 1 number ; and since i knew the prices i could tell in some cases they were charging more labor to install it than the unit's cost ! So be careful with this. Another issue with quotes is they mention that electrician will be contracted and will provide a separate quote. Make sure your AC installer has either an inhouse electrician or someone who works very closely with them and those costs are accounted for upfront. Pristine's quote had per unit's electrician cost included. So why did i not choose the cheapest ?! Billy said he would supervise this job himself - and it would be done in ONE DAY + I felt more confident about him drilling holes into the walls of my expensive house with metal studs and attic. They dropped off the equipment earlier - then on install day 4 trucks arrived at 730 am with 6 installers and they were done by 4 pm!! I took only 1 day off from work for this and oversaw the installation. Without proper supervision this job could have easily gone into a second day. 5 stars to pristine air ; 6 stars to Billy.
