Jeff was an outstanding sales rep. From the time I called on Monday evening until he dropped my car…read moreoff on Tuesday night he provided nothing but the highest level of customer service I have been privy to in a very long time. He answered my seemingly incessant questions about the car and how a lease works. He not only answered my questions i a timely manner, he was willing to text and chat until I was content. When I found a road block he worked with me to get through it. Not only an amicable solution, he found a better car under my required monthly payment with more features than I anticipated. On Tuesday morning he came to pick me up at my store in Falls Church, VA (The Gun Dude) and drove me to Germantown, MD (because they don't sell electric Smart cars in Virginia) 45 minutes later. The conversation on the way to the store was stimulating and his energy was evident. At the car dealer he was very attentive to my every need. He offered coffee and water and served it to me not seconds after I was through the door. We even spent a few minutes learning how to install the panels on one of the model Smart cars. I took my new car (my first new car ever) for a test drive and was more than pleased with the product. Upon return we completed the papers, during which he very patiently answered every question I had about the contracts, and when he did not know the answer he said as much...and then went to find the answer!!!!! I wish this guy worked for me, seriously. Once the lease paperwork was complete he walked me through the features of my new car and plugged it in for a full charge before I left. The charge took longer than expected so he gave me a loaner car to get lunch. While at lunch he realized the charge and detailing would take a bit longer than we anticipated so he gave me the loaner so I could get back to my business. He then drove my car to me (a 45 minute drive) and picked up the lender car at about 7pm. I highly recommend this Smart Center in Germantown and I strongly recommend you ask for Jeff if you want the best car buying experience of your life!!!

However, leasing a brand new Smart car from the manager, Jeff Greben, has been the easiest and most pleasant interaction I have had. Jeff explained every question I had about the car and the whole leasing process in general in an extremely courteous and professional manner. I have never seen a sales person so knowledgeable about what they were selling before in my life. I will most definitely return to Jeff in the future to get another car, whether it's a Smart car and or a Mercedes-Benz. I highly recommend getting a car from Jeff if you want to leave the dealership with a smile, knowing that you made the right decision about your purchase.

DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP! ABSOLUTE SCAM ARTISTS!…read more I bought a 2007 Toyota RAV4 here under false pretenses. The salesperson used a heavy high-pressure sales tactic--fabricating an elaborate family sob story about a previous buyer's son to distract us and build false urgency so we wouldn't check the vehicle closely. We were explicitly promised by the salesperson that the vehicle had "just passed a full inspection," that "all fluids had just been changed," and "this car was my better bet, it was an automatic, a newer model, and was in better condition than the one I went there to look at." Every bit of it was a complete lie. When I checked, the transmission fluid was completely black, oxidized, and ruined. They also deliberately covered up severe floorboard damage under the driver's side floor mat to pass the car off as being in good condition during the test drive. Since buying the vehicle, it has been a catastrophic chain of mechanical failures, despite driving it less than 10,000 miles total: * April 2025: Purchased the vehicle. * August 2025: Barely started driving it, and the battery died at the end of the month. * October 2025: The alternator failed entirely .* November 2025: The day after Thanksgiving, the transmission blew out completely. * Winter 2025 - Spring 2026: The car sat disabled for months until I could finally afford the massive cost of a total transmission replacement, since he said he couldn't help me. * June 2026: Got the car back from the transmission shop. Drove it for exactly one weekend (Saturday and Sunday), and now the engine won't start because the A/C compressor bearing completely seized and locked up the motor. I have had to change the engine oil twice in less than 10,000 miles because of pre-existing engine neglect they hid. When contacted last November, the dealer hid behind the "As-Is" clause and refused to help, claiming it has been "too long." An "As-Is" sticker is not a legal license to commit intentional dealer misrepresentation and fraud. I have an eyewitness who heard all the verbal lies, and I am filing official complaints with the Maryland Attorney General Consumer Protection Division and the MVA Investigations unit. Avoid this business at all costs--they sell dangerous, neglected, patched-up inventory to honest people. I have also discovered that another recent buyer left a review detailing that they got halfway home from this lot before their Check Engine light slammed on with code P0741. This is the exact same catastrophic transmission failure code my RAV4 threw. This dealership is actively wiping transmission fault codes right before test drives to dump broken vehicles on honest buyers.

I've had good experiences here overall across two purchases and one sale. Last summer, I bought a…read moreconvertible that was hard to find here in the DC area, so I had it shipped through the Carmax network from a few states away. I knew going in that I would pay more at Carmax than at some other dealerships, but in the end, the extra cost (the shipping fee plus Carmax just being pricier in general) was worth it. My salesman, Marcus, was super nice and chill. I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. The sales staff let me take a longer test drive than the normally allowed 20 min, and I appreciated their flexibility. After all, if I'm going to drop thousands of dollars on a vehicle, I need sufficient time to test drive it, visually inspect it, etc. I also appreciate the fact that Marcus and the crew did NOT drill license plate holes in my front bumper (the state my car shipped from does not require a front tag). He knew the car was looking sharp, and he guessed correctly that I would want to avoid drilling holes if possible (I found a magnet solution). He handed me my front tag as well as an order for Carmax tag installation if I changed my mind. That is good customer service. Now to the reason why I don't regret having paid a bit more at Carmax. My car ended up having two issues: an engine emissions issue (check engine alert) that required Carmax to update a couple of parts, and a paint bubble on the rear quarter panel. I'm thankful that I noticed both issues within the 90-day warranty period. For the paint issue, I brought the car back in, a service manager looked at it, and he said right away they'd cover the repair (either through a repair shop of their choosing or of my choosing). Again, I appreciated the flexibility. I was a little surprised they didn't write up paperwork promising to cover the repair, but sure enough, at the designated time, my chosen repair shop called the service manager, and the service manager made the payment. How about that? A handshake deal that came through. But seriously, Carmax, the paperwork route is the better one. Some pro tips: Make an appointment online. Unless it's a slow day like a Monday, do not just stroll in and expect quick service. I made two appointments (for two separate test drives), and a salesman greeted me within minutes of my arrival each time. Another tip: take longer than 20 minutes for your test drive if needed. They are flexible (and they do not ride with you during the test drive). I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it's a bit disappointing to have to bring a new (to me) car in twice for repairs, but they did live up to their warranty. I'm also just a tad bitter that they offered me a low price for a trade-in/sale a few years ago, but, hey, I didn't have to take their offer. All in all, I would not hesitate to shop here again. You might pay a bit more, but at least you get a 90-day warranty. Some other local dealerships offer nothing after you drive off the lot. My only other piece of advice (not Carmax-related) is to shop Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) if possible. The particular car I wanted was too old for that kind of certification, so I went the Carmax route. Cheers.

Based on that offer, I paid almost $200 to have my car towed to their location. Once I arrived, I was told they needed to perform another appraisal. After reviewing the vehicle, they reduced the offer to only $200. It was very frustrating to spend money towing my car there based on their original offer, only to receive a drastically lower amount. The situation became even more upsetting when they kept my vehicle and promised to have it towed first thing the next morning. Instead, I had to call repeatedly throughout the day before they finally returned it. The manager Justin was sarcastic, and unprofessional. This experience caused me unnecessary stress, wasted my time, and cost me money. I would not recommend this location and encourage others to be cautious before relying on an online appraisal. I felt this was very misleading and unfair. I relied on the online offer in good faith.
