First, when I read Kathy's review over here, I really felt bad for those guys, she had a wrong impression and her review was unfair to what they are. They deserve five stars all the way! I have been looking for an used car for a while, have purchased so many used ones since I got my first license 30 years ago, and my experience few weeks ago was by far the best used car dealer that I have ever encountered. I did my research on their website beforehand, went to their lot, got no so good of impression at first look, their office-trailer is extremely old and by the impressive high-quality website and the inventory pictures (lots of every single car in high quality) I was expecting a different place. Don't get me wrong, inside it doesn't look bad, nice environment with nice people too, everything is extremely organized and the set up to take care of business "A+", they do all the MVA head-ache/timing consuming stuff for you (title, registration, tags) and even have the real metal plates in stock, you don't have to do anything, besides of course pay for it, sign some papers and drive away! When I got there the first thing I noticed was that no salesman was chasing me on the lot trying to push a sale, I took my time looking a few options vehicles outside and when I felt was time to ask questions I went inside to meet the staff, for my surprise I found both owners - Rick and Henry - very nice guys with a foreign accent, extremely helpful, and an amazing knowledge about all kind of cars, I never felt so comfortable talking about cars before, they just handled some keys and told me to take my time to check out the cars I've picked, so I did, and after narrowing my choices to a single one I went inside again to talk about the numbers. There are some signs around the office stating that they have all of their cars already listed at their lowest price and that prices are non-negotiable, haggle free... little turn off but acceptable, just because they really have good prices, nice cars, clean & fully detailed, most cars are low mileage and 1 owner, Maryland inspected and the full inventory comes with a third-party nationwide warranty with free roadside service included on the asking price, so their sale terms are acceptable. I took the car for a test drive, a minor issue with the steering, and one of the owners offered to test drive the car with me. After a quick correction on the tires pressure, and a third test drive, I was set for it, he even offered me to have the car inspected by a Honda dealership before closing the deal, but I felt that wasn't necessary. It has been three weeks since I bought my "nice pre-owned" car and I would recommend Kensington Auto Sales to everyone! I have been looking for a used car for a while and today I found just what I was looking for. Between my husband and myself, we have purchased *many* used vehicles and our experience today was by far THE best used car dealer that we have ever encountered. We did our research on their website beforehand, went to their site, checked out the car, and asked to take it for a test drive. There are signs framed around the office stating that they have all of their cars already listed at their lowest sales price and that prices are non-negotiable. Before being given the keys, we were asked if we'd be OK with the listed price. We took it for a test drive, a minor hiccup, and the owner offered to drive the car with us in it. Upon feeling the stutter in the acceleration, he offered two possible culprits-old gas, or bad sparkplugs. Within several hours he had the tank filled and the sparkplugs changed-the car was fine. They even did all of the DMV work for us and sent us off the lot with permanent tags today, eliminating a visit to my all-time most dreaded place. I'd be elated to do business with them again and will be sure to tell all of my friends about our experience today. I've never met a more honest, kind used car dealer. I have been driving by Kensington Antique Row looking for a particular table when I found this humble used car dealership. Since I was looking for a used car for one of my nephews I decided stop by to check out their inventory. Several things cough my attention when I stepped in and saw their inventory list, sale policy, and terms. They had low mileage cars, their prices were firm (they would not accept any offer), and every car they had would come with 3 months warranty. I know dealers are always open to negotiate and accept offer, but they would not do that. The gentleman that helped me was straight forward to explain why they do not accept offers and even challenged me to get the car that I was interested in to be inspected by my mechanic or a Toyota dealership. Since my mechanic is also located in Kensington, I immediately took the car to him to have it inspected. After sometime he came with the verdict: Buy it! It has been three months since I bought my nephew's car and now it is my niece that needs a car. I already went to KAS and found the perfect car for her, took the car to my mechanic and again the verdict: Buy it! It is the second car I am buying from Kensington Auto Sales and I am a very happy customer. read more

I was in the market for a used car after somebody totaled my car. I searched for a particular model and color that I wanted. My search resulted in 3 cars. Two of them were located in major franchise dealerships, and the third one at Kensington Auto Sales. Well, I decided to go to the major dealerships first and left Kensington Auto Sales car to the end. For my surprise, Kensington Auto Sales had all cars indoors. The car I checked was immaculate and they offered 3 months warranty with it. I asked them for a test drive and Henry promptly installed the tag in the car and moved it out. Further, I asked him if I could take the car to my mechanic and he said "sure". My mechanic told me that all fluids where fresh, front brakes were brand new, and it was in great shape. He advised me to buy it and I did it! I knew from the start that Kensington Auto Sales was different from most of the used car dealerships. As soon as I arrived at Kensington Auto Sales, Henry handed me flyer showing how they do business, how the warranty works, how much I would have to pay for tags, registration, and processing. Kensington Auto Sales handpicks cars that are low mileage, few owners (if not only 1) and in tip top condition. I had been looking for a Honda or Toyota for a while, and my research comparing dealerships brought me to KAS to see if it was not too good to be true! I had checked out other places like Fitzway and Hersons who have a reputation, but their prices (and in some cases, service) could not compare to KAS. I was pleasantly surprised that the selection of cars is vast and all within a very reasonable price range. If you took a car they are selling and put it in another used dealership lot, the price would increase. They are friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in helping you find the right car for you! As I was looking at their cars, and even after I bought one, the owner had gone out of his way to be helpful in any way he could. This place has the whole package. We just purchase a 2008 Ford Escape over the weekend for our daughter. We have been looking at cars for the past year. We wanted something with safe, low miles, no major damage, 4-wheel drive and reasonable priced. After a very long year of searching and researching, we found this beautiful car at Kensington. My husband went and test drove it on Friday and was so pleased we went back on Saturday morning (Rick made a special Saturday appointment for us) and bought it. I am incredibly impressed by this business. Not only do they have good cars for good prices, but they seem to be everything else a business should be: They're honest, up-front, and genuinely care about finding the right car for their customers. They are selective about what cars they choose to take into their show room and preform the proper services so the car the customer buys is in fantastic shape. I bought a Jeep Cherokee and could not be happier with the purchase. I flew from Dallas to pick up a used Toyota from Matthew and Henry and WOW!! was it ever worth it!! The price was great, and the 3 month warranty they give with each purchase gave me peace of mind as I was driving the car back to Texas. They are good people, and everything they told me about the car was true. They even pointed out the few flaws, on the off chance I had not noticed them! My Toyota has 350,000 miles on it and the one I bought from them is just like it, but with only 49,000 miles. I told them that in 300,000 miles, I'm returning to buy my next car from them!! I was glad that I read the previous review, so I was prepared for the worst, you know, bait & switch etc. Couldn't have been further from my experience. It was wonderful from the moment I drove into the lot to the moment I drove away with my new car. They let me have it inspected by my dealer, and paid for the minor repair.
