So, I asked my stylist (someone called Felix with a mustache) to add a blow dry and they told me they couldn't because one stylist was out sick. Therefore, i had to go home with my hair wet (in mid December) or was welcome to use their hair dryer to do it myself but they didn't have time. They told me it was my fault i didn't book the blow dry. They told me if i had called to book rather than book online they would have told me that. Bottom line - they offer mediocre overcharged service. A salon that tells the client to dry it yourself with our dryer is pathetic and not first class.

Now I have to wait until next week and rearrange everything again, yet the mistake was on their end--I'm the one who ends up paying for it. I expected better communication, attention to detail, and accountability from a salon at this level.

Threatening and harassing people for tips is illegal and this is how she feels about her clients. She looks at them as people who need to throw money at her. I would never frequent this business and get my hair done by somebody who is bashing me online. The vibe in this business is not good. It's highly unprofessional and they don't perform the full service as requested as seen by plenty of other comments.

She came back a minute later and said she would actually be the one washing my hair and doing a mask until my stylist could come out. That immediately felt odd since it was my first time there and the stylist hadn't seen my hair dry. Every salon I've been to does a quick consult first to see your hair type and talk through the plan. Towards the end of being rinsed, the stylist switched in without introducing herself or even saying hello. Her first words to me were, "What kind of cut are you looking for today?" Even after leaving the wash station, there was still no introduction or real questions about my hair. She was not working with another guest at the time so I'm not sure why she couldn't introduce herself and do a consult beforehand. I was there to cut about five inches off and felt really uncomfortable trusting someone who hadn't seen my hair dry or taken a moment to understand it. I don't need a chatty appointment, but I do expect a stylist to make a new client feel welcomed and assess their hair. She barely spoke the entire time, which made the appointment feel awkward and honestly pretty uncomfortable. Thankfully, the haircut turned out fine, but this was one of the most uncomfortable salon experiences I've had. I'm super bummed because I was really looking forward to the haircut and trying out this salon. I was hoping to leave private feedback but couldn't find a way to do that online.

Each of us was pampered and "prettified" in a friendly atmosphere. Giselle worked on my hair. This was the most painless shampoo I've had in a salon. No pulling. No scratching. Then came the Straight Up blowout which resulted in a sleek, stylish look. Giselle's personality added so much to the experience. Thank you! The weekend weather in Boston was raw and windy, but my Drybar look was beautiful throughout. What a great experience provided by this location in Back Bay!

I live in Los Angeles but was in town just for the wedding, and I've gotten blowouts at multiple Drybars around the country, so I knew what the service was supposed to entail. Well, I don't know why this shop has received so many bad reviews, because our services were INCREDIBLE. My stylist (Emily) and my mom's stylist (Giselle) both made our hair look absolutely gorgeous. I got the Manhattan and my mom got the Straight Up, and both were executed to perfection. Our stylists were fun and personable, super kind, and very talented. They put us at ease and we had the best time chatting while they did our hair. I have A LOT of hair and it can take over an hour to blow it out and flat iron it. Emily got it done flawlessly in 50 minutes! I also noticed GORGEOUS curls she'd done for the girl before me, so it wasn't just me who got great hair that day. My one note would be to ask how I wanted my hair washed at the shampoo bowl. This was actually the only time I've been to a Drybar where I wasn't asked if I wanted one or two shampoos and if I wanted conditioner on my roots. But since Emily made my hair look so amazing anyway, it's not a big deal -- just something I think should be done before washing. Overall we were both thrilled with our blowouts and the service provided by Emily, Giselle, and the receptionist up front. We couldn't have asked for anything more!

And although she couldn't see the vision of what I was going for, she nonetheless, did a very nice job and it still came out looking beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place! When I voiced my concern, the stylist decided to strip the toner and all color -- including my natural color from my hair. This completely removed all dimension and left my once-beautiful blonde hair orange and yellow. No professional stylist should ever resort to stripping color like this. A few glosses could have easily corrected the tone -- and that's exactly what a far more qualified salon did afterwards. To make matters worse, after seeing the damage, they still suggested I come back in for a highlight... as if further bleaching on already stripped hair wouldn't cause serious harm. Anyone with basic color knowledge knows that would completely DESTROY the hair. I didn't have time to cancel the appointment, and I was STILL CHARGED for the service that left my hair DAMAGED. I left with broken strands, lost years of carefully maintained color, and a completely compromised hair texture. Some of the stylists here clearly lack the experience needed for proper color treatment. PLEASE do yourself a favor and stay far away. This was disappointing, frustrating, and deeply upsetting.
