I went to get my seconds and thirds (earlobes) pierced. The piercing went well (as far as I knew), but I went in to another piercer (who had done other piercings for me) and was told that they were so done crooked they would never heal correctly. They had to be pulled, and I will not be returning to this facility for future piercings. read more

Got my tragus pierced with my friend. The piercing is $15 and depending on the type of jewelry you get, it starts at $30. So for the cheapest stud with tip it comes out to be about $50ish. I do wish the jewelry they offered in the $30-$35 range was a little more interesting/cuter but it's not a dealbreaker. The standard studs that are about $30 aren't bad, they have discs or balls to choose from. This was a spontaneous decision to get pierced so we just kinda went in, got seen in the next 20 minutes, and then we were out of there within the hour. Really quick, efficient service and the girl piercing us definitely knew what she was talking about. I do wish they offered the saline solution or spray but it's not the biggest deal to just make it at home with non-iodized salt (not sure if that's actually THAT important) and warm distilled water, which they give you an instructional manual on how to do all of this. I really like my piercing and will maybe come back for other ones! read more

Got my conch done here yesterday. I came as a walk-in and only ended up waiting less than 30 minutes with probably 5-6 people ahead of me. EdD was super laidback which made the overall experience a great one. The piercing was painless for the most part and went by very quickly. It's only been a day, but so far I haven't felt any pain or discomfort at all. I used to drive all the way to Costa Mesa to get my ears pierced, but this place is far more affordable and equally as great. This past time I went I had Luna (which I've never seen before) not that I got every year but still I was nervous to see a different face. But let me say Luna was absolutely AMAZING! Tommy is the best. If you're looking for font work or traditional, not only is he reasonably priced, he's worth the price he offers. He has a light hand and is very thorough with his after care instructions. A huge tip is that if you've never had tattoos, he will make your first time easy. He did my 7th tattoo and surprisingly didn't hurt as much as I would expect and he's very easy to talk to while you get tatted you forget the pain. I highly encourage everyone to come here because he's very friendly and professional. They also take credit cards so it makes it better! I found my new tattoo artists! The receptionist clearly did not want to be there and was incredibly rude to me and my friend. She would heavily sigh when I asked for a receipt and only reluctantly answered any questions I had. She was rude all around from when we walked in to when we left. The piercer was also quite rude and condescending. I had questions about the placement of my piercings and he was incredibly dismissive of questions I had and scoffed when I asked for his opinion. He gave very little warning when he pierced my ears, and it was much more painful than when I've gotten my ears pierced before. He was unsociable and I was relieved to leave the shop. I called ahead of time last Saturday to check what kind of documentation would be needed to bring my 17 and a half year old sister in for a conch piercing. I asked if I would be able to and the girl on the phone sounded apologetic and said they would need a parent present the entire time. I told them ok, I understand, and in that case, what does my mom and sister need to bring in? They were clear and said any kind of valid photo ID such as a driver's license. I told her my sister doesn't have her DL yet, would her passport be sufficient? They said yup and that was that. The next morning, both of my parents went with my sister to Prix around 12:15 for her conch piercing. They were in and out within 30 minutes and didn't have any issues with the staff. She chose a simple hoop and the jewelry plus piercing was only $35 without any Yelp discount. EdD was her piercer and she said he was very friendly and gave her all the info on how to keep her piercing clean even though she has 5-6 others already. Apparently a bunch of her friends from school also received their piercings here with their parents and always had an easy time, which is why they recommended Prix to her. read more

First of all this shop is so sterile and clean. They take cleanliness to the next level and it creates a very safe environment. They also aren't there to just pierce you and forget you - they actually care about the long term aftercare, placement of the piercing and align it with what result you're hoping for. Tanna re-pierced by conch after a bad experience I had at another shop. She did it in a matter of seconds with little to no pain. I went in yesterday to get my nipples pierced and Ed was an amazing gem! He made me feel very comfortable and educated me about the process. His aftercare instructions are very insightful and I was very pleased with the outcome. What I enjoyed about my experience was how he cared that I was comfortable the whole time. He would stare at my chest when he had to when measuring and piercing, but would keep eye contact with me the rest of the time which as a female, it's the little things like that, that makes the experience so much more comforting. My 18 year old never was able to get her ears pierced (played soccer all year round and never had a break long enough to keep studs in because all jewelry is banned during games) she finally had a couple months off after her fall college soccer season to get them. We walked in, they were so friendly and helped her with earing choices. We warned them she is petrified of needles and was scared. The lovely girl was reassuring and eased her with each step. My first tattoo, and as a type A person I have everything planned out before I go, usually. Usually. I was walking around Pasadena and just happened to see this, and thought that since I've been wanting a tattoo for a while that I should look around for options and designs. In a spur of the moment decision after talking to Tommy, I decided that it was going to do it tonight. This was an original design that he came up with as well, I knew I wanted the elements but didn't know how I wanted them to tie together. I have a super low pain tolerance and was unsure of what I wanted, but Tommy was the best. He talked me through everything, was lowkey a therapist(thank you, sorry) as I gritted through the pain(honestly, it's probably just me) and was just so supportive. I absolutely love how this came out, and I definitely will recommend all my friends to him. Aftercare was explained as well, and he was more than just patient. I went in again to get my jewelry changed to something that won't irritate my piercing as much. Right off the bat, Ed was very condescending & standoffish, even though the information he was passing along was wildly incorrect. I had known from previous experience that he isn't exactly the most pleasant person on the planet, so I wasn't exactly shocked. I was, however, appalled by his treatment of his employees. Go here if you enjoy watching arrogant & condescending men berate their employees in front of customers. Asides from that, the lady who changed my jewelry for me was very pleasant & the shop does sell high quality jewelry. It IS expensive, but you are paying for quality. I called ahead asking for a quote and if I could walk in and whomever answered the phone was very friendly and responsive to my questions. I came the following day to get a helix piercing. There were about three people before me and they were done within 20 minutes, so the line moved pretty fast. I had to complete some paperwork prior to the piercing. Denna, my piercer, was kind and patient. I wasn't entirely sure where I wanted my helix so she used some ink to point out some options. The piercing was quick, she explained that she would ask me to inhale, then pierce on the exhale. It was not very painful which I was worried about as I had passed out when getting my lobes pierced when I was 16 (at a different location). Lovely service and nice employees. I took my mom, sister, and brother to get spontaneous piercings.. really to get my sister her first piercings but we each ended up getting one as well, family bonding time! The experience was amazing LOVED Tana so much! She made all of us feel so comfortable and made it fun which is hard to do when you're getting stabbed. My sister was also in really good hands as she's had high anxiety about getting her first piercing, and Eddie made the experience a lot more calming and talked her through it I could see her laughing and definitely feeling a lot better. I don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to do so this time. Be aware of pricing and the total before you get your piercing because you'll be in for a surprise. My friend and I were in the area and decided to get our ears pierced spontaneously. She opted for one cartilage piercing and I chose my second piercing on my earlobes (so two piercings in total for me). She told us it will be $35 for both ears for me and $30 for her. We opted to go for the cheapest piercing because we weren't going to keep it after it healed. The girl at the front desk assisting us said the cheapest basic studs started at $30. We both chose the one the second smallest stud (it's very small). I confirmed those were the cheapest one after I chose them. You pay after you're done with your piercing. I believe our piercer's name was Gerard. He wasn't very talkative, which I don't mind. But as soon as I took my phone out to text .. he said no phones allowed. Okay, whatever. He did do a great job though. I have had many ear piercings in the past that would always get infected no matter how much I cleaned it so eventually took them except my first piercing out. My friend and I have had no swelling, blood, pain or issues. He was veryyy hygienic and patient while we were trying to figure out the best place to pierce it. He didn't mind redrawing the dot over and over again until we were satisfied. He also measured the area to make sure it's exact.. something no one has done for me before. No problem sleeping on my side at all even the day of the piercing. He did a fantastic job. Time to pay. My total was $145 and my friend paid $90. We both paid, left, and decided to go right back in and ask for a breakdown. Well, the earrings that were supposed to be $30 were $50 each. Why change the price? If I had known it was going to be $145 for my second ear piercing, I would've gone somewhere else. My friend had pierced hers 2 weeks prior somewhere else in Pasadena, and she only paid $65 (earring included in that price). Bait and switch.. probably why they want you to pay after. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of the piercer. Honestly, it deserves a 1 star rating but I am after all just rating the business overall because if my rating was based solely on the piercer, I would've given it 5 stars. Katy walked me through their extensive collection of gold and titanium jewelry, and helped me select my next nose ring. And then Gerry inserted it for me and walked me through how I could change it myself since the flat back jewelry was new to me. I will definitely be back. We called a day before to make an appointment for piercings, and were told they don't take appointments! which is totally cool, but when we showed up the next day (after driving a whole hour) a girl with short red hair and tons of piercings told us they had reached their time limit. At this time it was 7:03. We had literally spoken to this same girl on the way and she told us cut off time was 7:15. She then started to gaslight us, saying there were too many girls already in line. Their customer service is so so bad and the girl was blatantly lying and was so rude. We left to engineering piercing in fullerton (WAY BETTER) - yet it was interesting they let in some girls who were "caucasian" while we were outside figuring out where to go. I always want to think the best of others but this situation was crazy and this place is definitely not worth getting pierced at. After 3 years of the pandemic, I was no longer able to get the earring in my right ear and thought the hole had closed. I called to schedule an appointment for a re-piercing. A young man (Ed - I believe) told me that he thought he would be able to fix my problem without having to re-pierce my ear, and he would not charge me for it! I went right over, and he was able to quickly and easily reopen (or stretch) the hole in my ear and insert my earring for me. So many places would have taken advantage, but not this place. They are honest and hard working folks who have been in the same location in Pasadena for 20+ years. If you are looking for a great place for a piercing, these are the people for you. read more

Even though my piercing was done at another shop, from the moment I called in to beg (beg!) for help after losing the ball fixture on my septum ring down the drain, Tanna was ready to help! Once I arrived in the shop, she was warm, patient and kind but most importantly, she was super knowledgeable. She shared care techniques for my new piercing- that were not shared with me by the person who actually did the piercing-and spoke expertly about the beautiful selection of jewelry and products in the shop.
