I purchased a low-mileage Lexus from Car Lux after comparing several dealerships in the area. The…read moreselection of luxury and late-model used vehicles was impressive, and the salesperson gave me plenty of time to inspect the car and take it for a test drive. The financing process took a little longer than I expected, but everything was explained clearly in the end. Overall, I'm happy with the vehicle and would shop here again.

I wanted to leave a fair and honest review of my experience because there were definitely things I…read morereally appreciated, but unfortunately there were also several things that left me disappointed after receiving the vehicle. First, I do want to acknowledge my sales representative. He was very nice, kind, generous, honest, and provided me with great customer service throughout the purchasing process. I genuinely appreciated how I was treated by him, and I don't want the concerns I have with the vehicle or my overall experience to take away from the positive experience I had with him personally. One thing I was a little disappointed about was not receiving physical printed copies of all of my purchase documents. I was told that everything was provided to me electronically, which I understand, but I personally would have preferred to have physical copies as well. With a previous vehicle purchase, I was given a complete printed packet of everything I signed, so I assumed I would receive something similar this time. It's not necessarily a major issue, but it was something I would have appreciated having when leaving the dealership. I was also told that the vehicle was going to be detailed before it was delivered to me. Once I received it and was able to look at it more closely, it honestly did not seem like it had been properly detailed. There was residue left on the windows from whatever product had been used to wipe them down, the interior was noticeably dusty, and there were food crumbs left on the seats. Considering I was specifically told it would be detailed, I expected it to be delivered much cleaner than it was. Another thing that disappointed me is that the vehicle remained with the dealership after I purchased it because it needed to be taken to an Acura dealership for a recall. I completely understand that it was being taken there specifically for the recall and that the recall service itself had nothing to do with the other issues I've noticed. However, the dealership had possession of the vehicle the day I purchased it and into the following day before it was delivered to me. Because they had the vehicle during that time, I feel there was enough opportunity to give it a final inspection and make sure it was clean and in good condition before delivering it to me. After finally receiving the vehicle and having it for only a couple of days, I started noticing additional issues. The wireless charging pad powers on but does not actually charge a phone, even after testing it with more than one compatible iPhone. The steering wheel is significantly faded/worn, tire valve-stem caps were missing, the two front tires appear significantly worn, and I also noticed concerning wear on the rear brakes/rotors. I completely understand that I purchased a used vehicle and that it was sold as-is. I never expected a used vehicle to be perfect or in brand-new condition. At the same time, when purchasing and financing a vehicle through a dealership, I still expected the vehicle to be reasonably inspected and for noticeable issues--especially potential safety-related concerns involving the tires and brakes--to either be addressed or communicated to me. I also expected it to be properly cleaned and detailed since I was specifically told that would be done. At this point, I honestly don't have the desire to go back and forth with the dealership over every individual issue. I would rather share my experience so future buyers know to thoroughly inspect the vehicle themselves, test all of its features, and look closely at the tires and brakes before completing their purchase and driving off the lot. With all of that being said, I do want to make it clear that this is simply my personal experience. I do think the dealership has a nice selection of vehicles, and despite the issues I experienced, I would still recommend giving them a chance. My experience with my sales representative was genuinely positive, and I appreciated the customer service I received from him. I just strongly recommend that anyone purchasing a vehicle take the time to inspect everything thoroughly before finalizing the purchase. Overall, I am happy with the vehicle itself and hope to enjoy it for a long time. I just wish some of these things had been caught, addressed, or communicated to me before the vehicle was delivered.

We were sold a car with AC not working and they didn't disclose that with us at all. During the driving trial he kept messing with it pretending to adjust it knowing it wasn't functioning. Sure they'll finance you.. but it's not worth it in the least. A cautious hit or miss. I purchased a 2018 Acura TLX in 2023--they stated there was no past damage or issues. During the test run the car wouldn't even start!! They panicked and whipped out the ol' battery charger and told me to go inside to discuss financing while they worked on the car (first red flag). Discussed financing and went back out to see the vehicle, they continued with the battery charger since it was still having issues (second red flag).. why display or attempt to sell a car that won't even start? Eventually they claimed they "replaced" the battery (found out they didn't). Made it home, & a WEEK later.. the ENGINE FAILED!! I went through hell with the financing company as I still had to make payments despite the car being out of commission for FOUR MONTHS!! It was covered under warranty, however, the auto shop claimed the engine had shards of metal & attempted to point the finger at me although I only had the car for a week. A loaner vehicle was also promised--but I was given the runaround & eventually lied to about accommodations during that difficult time. All in all, their methods were unprofessional, haphazard & performed bare minimum to resolve issues only enough to cover themselves. I read bad reviews beforehand but thought "what are the chances of it happening to me" & low & behold.. it happened. Please be cautious & very thorough before committing to this dealership. Too bad I couldn't leave 0 stars. I would have sued if I had the time, opportunity, & lived closer

We had already…read moretest-driven the vehicle, selected the unit we wanted, and had pre-approved financing through Nordstrom Federal Credit Union at 4.87% APR for 36 months. We were then told by the sales staff that Hertz "does not work with" our credit union and that we would be required to use Hertz financing instead. We were told we could refinance later -- which would mean paying additional interest and fees that we had already avoided by securing our own financing. When we contacted Hertz Car Sales corporate through Facebook to confirm whether outside credit unions are allowed, we received a vague response saying our credit union "doesn't qualify," without any clear explanation of why or what criteria were used. This directly conflicts with what our credit union told us and mirrors what many other reviewers here have reported -- customers being pressured into dealer financing even when they already have funding in place. We were not asking for a discount, special pricing, or anything unusual -- only to use our own lender, which is standard practice at most dealerships. Refusing to accept outside financing effectively forces buyers into higher-cost loans and removes real choice from the transaction. We were ready to buy this car but ultimately walked away because we were not willing to take on unnecessary interest and fees just to complete the sale. We hope Hertz Car Sales corporate will review how they handle outside financing and credit unions, because this experience did not match the transparent, no-hassle process that Hertz advertises. Please put on your website in plan site that you limit outside financing

I feel absolutely skipped a big mistake. There replies on the phone were so scripted and so much resembled car sales from the 80s in such a used car negative manner The whole experience was so disgusting. I don't recommend this and just cause something is all shiny does not mean it doesn't have issues underneath. I'd be very careful. There's a reason why people don't want to answer certain questions. And there's also amazingly scripted and good answers for those questions which you never get the correct information on.
