My 2015 Mazda CX-5's windshield seal was coming loose all along the top. I called the "Safexxxxx Repair, Safexxxxx Replace" folks, and they wanted nothing to do with it. "We only do repairs on glass we install". Ok fine. Your loss for future business. Driving home and stopped by Pro Automotive to see if they would fix it. They said it wasn't their kinda thing, BUT they referred me to Collision Auto Glass in Beaverton. Made an appointment for 1:30 on Friday. I arrive and I barely get in the door, and they call me by name and ask for the keys. Tells me it'll take 30 minutes. I settle in to their customer lounge (nice!) and start surfin the web. Less than 10 minutes later, they're calling me to the window! They tell me the car is being pulled to the front already! I ask how much? No charge! Jydt refer others (Damned straight i will!) Say what? They tell me that it was a quick fix..in and out. HATS OFF to Collison Auto Glass and Pro Automotive in Scappoose. Two great businesses ready to serve you! Avoid. I brought my car in to have the actuator replaced (I told them what the problem is and didn't need a diagnostic) and now my car door rattles when I drive faster than 60 mph. I called to ask about the issue and wasn't interested in paying to have them fix that as well. They are too expensive for repairs. Not worth it imo. read more

where to begin?!? I came in for diagnostics after my power steering went out. They attempted a 1st repair, then on my way home from their shop, my power steering went out AGAIN. So, I took my car back to them and they said they would make it right...and while they were attempting to rediagnose the issue, I sent them info about what I thought was wrong and WAS DISREGARDED. They then performed a 2nd repair and within 24-hrs my power steering went out again!!! So two misdiagnosises, and two payments to them for the one issue that brought me in. I brought it back for 3rd repair attempt; they had my car for weeks and weeks and weeks...finally for 3rd repair they fixed what I had told them I thought was wrong with it prior to 2nd repair. And car was finally fixed!!! Only by this point, I'VE PAID THREE DIFFERENT TIMES TO FIX THE ONE ISSUE THAT I CAME IN FOR. I also incurred many expenses from having to Rideshare to work, get groceries delivered, etc, etc from not having a car during repairs. So by this point, I paid about $2,800 for what should have been an $800 repair. I then sought legal help. In this legal matter, the manager of PAD, Adam, agreed to refund me $1,400. Since 11/2025 I have been waiting for this check and have not received it. I've been waiting to write a review of PAD, hoping they would make this right and they haven't despite alot of patience on my end. So now I have to hire yet another attorney to help me retrieve this check that I am owed between the two botched repairs and a third repair that finally fixed it. This check doesnt even cover all of the other money I spent from not having a car. And remember, I had told them what was wrong and was disregarded!!! And I am not even very knowledgeable about cars, I am an RN for christ sake. Yet they couldn't figure it out, but I could, and they wouldn't listen to me?!?! And now will not pay me what they agreed to?!?! So now more time and energy will go into more legal action, instead of them just doing right by their customer. BEWARE read more

Cab off repair. A lot gets disconnected and reconnected. About 300 miles down the road a hose came loose and we lost power. Hours later we were back on the road. A call to Pro Auto got response 1 " can we get towed back to the shop " . This came after I said I was in Asland. ( 300 miles south of their shop and headed south to San Jose). 2, comment was that they would pay for the cost of repair - and that the check would be at our house by the time we got home. 2 weeks later - no check. As a result of the hose coming off, we additionally incurred towing expense and accidental damage to our 5th wheel. Reservations were cancelled and several hours lost trying to find a suitable place to spend the night. Prior to this repair, at home, I was quoted 1/4 the cost to do the same work that was done by Pro Automotive. Caveat Emptor. read more

My son bought an 80s ford pickup diesel, he loves older trucks. The guy my son bought the truck from told my son that the glow plug controller wasn't hooked up and there was parasitic drain on the battery. So my son takes it to PAD and tells them what the problems are. Here is what he got for $480 and they had the truck for two days. They tell him his glow plug controller is not hooked up and it will cost $1200 more to hook it up. We told them that when we dropped it off so they reiterated the obvious. So they stared at it for two hours scratching their heads. For the glow plug, they are not installing a new one they are just hooking up the six wires on the one thats already there. We told them this when we dropped it off and now they want an additional $1200, really. And the drain on the battery could be from the brake lights but they are not sure, it could be somthing else. But for $900 we can find out if this will fix the brake lights with no guarantee that this will fix the problem. They charged him $470 and an extra $9.40 for shop supplies, must be for the paper the bill is printed on. They did nothing but stare at his truck and charged him for two hours of time. And in the notes they wrote "he" as in my son "installed a 7.3 glow plug controler and the new one won't wire in". Which shows that they didn't even install the glow plug it was already installed all we needed was for them to wire (the 6 wires) it in, which they say costs $1200 to hook up 6 wires that Youtube can show you how to do 3 of them. I was with him when he dropped it off. This place is extremely shady. read more

I will absolutely never ever go back to this shop!!! I took my car in there for an oil change and they tried to tell me I had $8,000 worth of things wrong with my car. They showed me pictures of leaks, damages, very dirty air filter, etc. They told me my timing belt needed to he fixed asap and I was super stressed and worried. I am a single parent and the cost was worrying me too. My cousin offered to take a look at my car and see if there was anything he could help fix at a much lower price. After a very careful inspection, absolutely nothing was wrong with my car!!! He even took pictures to show me of under the car and under the hood and they looked nothing like what this shop showed me!! There were bo oil leaks or leaks of any kind. Even the air filter they said was disgusting, was in fact clean and perfect. I am worried how many other people have gotten taken advantage of by them!!! Integrity!!! That is one word to describe PAD. There were a few hiccups after the repairs. They didn't bat an eye at honoring their warranty. Let's be honest engines are unpredictable and not everything is foreseen. For my troubles I was also compensated in goodwill with some extra services. Big issue: I've come to realize they are not an honest organization. They will tell you that you need repairs when you actually don't. They will also say they replaced things when they really didn't. If we could give them zero stars, we would. In 2022 and 2023 we had three vehicles in at this shop and the overall experiences were negative. Long wait times, terrible communication, an uncaring attitude. Some of the repairs required warranty work returns that still weren't done correctly. One vehicle, by coincidence, had a complete piston failure after their work and was scrapped. Another vehicle had a $3,000 manifold job done, with return work required. That manifold recently failed and we had another shop do the work. They said the Pro Auto manifold was a cheap part and the work was poorly done. Other shops have reviewed their pricing, after the fact, and commented that their rates are quite high. We cannot recommend Pro Auto and will never take our vehicles there again. read more

Took my F-150 in for some transmission issues. They recommended that it be rebuilt (which was exactly what the Ford dealer told me). Since it's return I've put a couple of hundred miles on it now and all is good. The repair took longer than they expected due to a part they were waiting for. This caused me some angst because of a travel trailer I had rented. I was able to borrow another truck to pick up the trailer, but was going to have to make another trip into town to pick up my truck for the trip home. However Shawn, the shop advisor on my work, felt bad about the delay and delivered the truck to my campsite. Completely unexpected and above and beyond their responsibility. I will not say I will ever go back unless things change.. spent 30k there with multiple screw ups on there part!! after spending 15k on a vehicle at there location they told me for everything I have done they would give me a screaming good deal on a lift, tires, wheels, or anything I would need on my new truck if I wrote them a good review?? I did do what they asked and have been there multiple times on many different things saying what they told me they would do for writing a good review and never have been quoted anything of what they promised ever... just went there asking about a cold air intake that I would install myself and was amazed of the quot!!! $400.00 on something that I can buy from Napa for $350.00.. no deal no nothing.. There was a rattling sound coming from my back tire, I took it into this shop and they said it was my hubs were bad, quoted me $740.00 for the repairs, after it was all said and done I took the car home the rattling was still there, I returned the car and their technicians verified the noise was coming from a loose piece on my brake caliper, not my hubs, I was charged for unnecessary repairs and was told by management and corporate there was nothing anyone could do. 1 star for the simple fact that I have had a good experience in the past. Be aware of what you are paying for. I paid for an upgrade of my fuel system and was told on a handshake all the parts would be new. Upon pickup, my vehicle had issues that it never had previously. I soon found out that it would now cost another $8400 to "repair"other new found issues. This was supposed to be a turn key upgrade. My vehicle had no issues before dropping it off for the $5000 elective repair. One big problem i have is that a parts kit was marked up 300%. Another problem is that i was told all of the parts would be new and i was told by the owner himself that they used remanufactured parts after the fact. Not to mention they tacked on another $1600 for parts not previously mentioned Long story short, my vehicle is now 70 miles away at another shop that i trust. They found no reason for the $8400 repair i was told would solve the problem. I would never recommend this shop to anyone ever! I feel cheated and ripped off. Im already in correspondence with 2 other shops as well as the manufacturer of the "remanufactured" parts that were installed on my vehicle. I was told by Pro Automotive that they use reman parts directly from the manufacturer and both of the the other shops i have been in contact with say that they have never seen a reman part like the one that was installed on my vehicle (spraypainted). Dishonesty from beginning to end. We were initially very happy with the work that we had done on three of our vehicles. But after having $3,000 worth of maintenance and service performed on our Kia, with a very extensive wait for the work to be completed, and poor communication, the vehicle had engine/piston failure, after being a great, trouble-free, well maintained car for years. As a side note, Ron Tonkin said that the cost for that service was extremely high. There's no way to prove that Pro Auto's work on the car played a part in the engine failure, but it feels all-too coincidental. We did feel, at the time of pick-up from them, that they weren't that caring about the service that we had requested from them. Did they make an error or overlook something during the service that could have played a part? It's certainly possible. And, they are so busy that one has to wonder if they really have the quality staff and attention to detail needed. Out of an abundance of caution for our other vehicles, we won't be returning to Pro Auto. read more

The company Pro Automotive diesel or PAD showed poor time management and organization with resources. Promised 2-3 months and took 8 months to complete with several unnecessary time delays. Over booked themselves and delayed my car from work two times both adding up to a week each. There were four (4) defects that were found by the customer several different times after PAD claimed it was ready for pick up. Failed to be inspected by assistant, main auto body repair tech, and supervisor several times with no improvement or learning from their mistakes. Customer dropped off side marker lights to PAD and they lost the harness that would go into housing. Instead of doing the right thing by buying and replacing OEM genuine part that was given to PAD, they instead Jerry rig something "similar" to complete the task in less than 24 hours even tho no deadline was created to make sure that it was repaired the correct way. Customer was told that the car was ready for pick up only to give it back with a dead battery. Zero checks to go through before calling the customer. Plenty of excuses as to why they did not check. Overall I would highly recommend to take your money elsewhere because you will get an incomplete nightmare that takes months to resolve and receive, at most, subpar service making you question and regret the decision that you made read more
