I had some club money to spend from my summer golf league and the course has an agreement with Pro Golf that you can spend your winnings there. I had to use it up by the end of 2024 so here it is early December and I'm buying golf gear. Merry Christmas to me. Asked Tukwila store if I could swap my driver shaft from Regular to Stiff, I bought the driver about a year ago in Tukwila, they said of course. I happened to be in Bellevue running errands, so I stopped into the store to see if they could make the swap. I walked in holding my driver and was coarsely and rudely greeted by a bearded fellow at the front desk "what do you need?" After telling this curmudgeon what I was looking to do he responded "can't do that. our shaft guy is out on leave. could maybe order you a shaft from ping but can't do it today. if you want something ''more exotic' you'd have to come back." I politely told the bearded boorish man "I had spoken to the Tukwila store they said they could just swap it out." His retort: "well they can't" "i mean i just spoke to them they said they could do it there" "yeah well they don't have the shafts and they definitely can't so idk why they told you that" Told him I would happily take my business to the Tukwila store. Called Tukwila, they said "of course come on by" - they swapped the shaft at no cost and regripped it while I waited. TLDR: the guys at Bellevue are incredibly rude, unhelpful, and like to look at you like you don't belong and they're doing you a favor. Go to Tukwila, they are great. read more

I went to get my golf clubs lengthen in the service was excellent. They got my clubs done and three business days. Definitely worth going to get lessons as well. If you go at the perfect timing, they have great discounts. read more

These guys rock. After being totally ignored at the place down the street, I was paroussinge the store and stopped to look at shores when Jeff cheerfully came up and asked if I needed anything. "Yes I do!" And it went on from there! See, for my Birthday my husband told me to go purchase my first set of new irons. I had no idea what to choose or why. I wish I could rate this store at a half a star. Let's begin with golf club purchasing experience: 1) I'm a beginner, I don't want to overspend, but want to ensure a quality purchase. 2) Hoped to speak with someone who would take the time to navigate all the choices. (too many 'opinions' on the internet and not enough to steer to a finite set of options. Indeed, attempting to avoid any emotional purchases. 3) I was told that I could come in and speak to a "Pro" (not sure what this means in a chain that prides itself in being a discount store) 4) Lastly, I would have liked to try a few clubs --- not a single person was available to help. (by the way, the store had six customers total in-store) None of the above led me to believe that they care about potential customers and their eventual return. You'd be better off ordering online and use this store to window shop only. At least when you call an online distributor, you get to talk to someone who seemingly cares about your experience. read more

Love the apparel section here, they're literally the only place I've found so far that carry shorts that fit me perfectly so I have more options in my attire now. The store is huge, I'm sure you'll be able to find everything here whether you're a beginner or pro. The only thing is that they have an informational website that tells you where all the locations/hours are and if there's a current sale going on, but you can't purchase anything online which I feel like they are missing out on potential revenue since there's only limited times I can physically go to the store, but I have all the time in the world to sit around the computer in the middle of the night and add things to the cart to check out and purchase. Terrible customer service. I went there to get my size and then look at options. he made me stand upright and told me I was a standard size. I went to two other stores who both told me i was petitie (measuring as i have a hitting stance). When I even asked the guy to help me, he seemed least interested and then gave me wrong information. Will never go here again. After their new store, I decided to try them again. I bought some grips and the person who put in the new grip put it on backwards. When I brought it back, he shrugged and said it wasn't a big deal. Didn't even offer to credit for that one grip or anything. I really don't think the club fitters know what they are doing. read more

Stopped by pretty pumped up looking for a complete set of new clubs today but stood there for 20 minutes unable to get any assistance. Workers in their own little world chit chatting away with one another or walking right on by....strange really. Maybe I just didn't look like I had any real money to spend...not dressed the part? I haven't played golf since high school and I came in looking to pick up a full set of gear. I was hoping they could recommend a club set that would fit me and also pickup some shoes and gloves that they had on sale. No one acknowledged my presence and I couldn't even find someone who worked there. I was pushing my daughter in a stroller so I couldn't see everything in the store with the super small walkways, but I didn't see any sets of clubs. I found the shoes I was looking for, but with no one to help me, there was no way to find a pair in my size. After about 10 minutes I left and decided to take my chances with ordering everything I needed from Amazon. How do places like this stay in business when they offer less customer service than a website. Don't waste your time with this place. read more

Worst customer service I have experienced at progolf! Never greeted or even acknowledged when I walked in. I went into buy a push cart and wanted to know the difference between sun mt and cliq. I waited for 30 mins and no one even looked in my direction. One employee finally looked right me and quickly looked away. The same employee walked up the customer next to me shook hi hand and asked if he could help. He told him he was good and walked away. As the employee walked away, we made eye contact and I opened my mouth and he turned right around and walked the other way. I went back to where the carts are just grabbed one of the carts and went up to the cash register. When it was my turn the cashier told me it was the best cart! I told him I was waiting for someone to tell me the differences and he proceeded and said that'll be $287.34. I paid and he came around the till and said this is the way you carry it, have a nice day! I'm still in shock! I've been shopping at various PGD's for the last 15yrs and this is by far the worst! I will not be shopping at this PGD ever again. I live in Bellevue but I would rather drive to Tukwila then come back here. The employees are rude and talk to customers like they're stupid. I overheard one employee say " why would you want to do that? No pro endorses these club." Customer: "but I'm not a pro, I demo'd these and I really like these". Employee: " well do what ya want!"The employee's body language was very negative and clearly didn't want to be there as he was watching basketball and not paying attention to the customer anymore. read more

I was looking to get fitted for Irons, I first went to Puetz and stood around for 20 minutes while the staff ignored me and assisted other customers. I left Puetz and took my business to Pro Golf Discount in Bellevue. I was greeted right when I walked in the door by Todd, the store manager, even though they were very busy. He asked what I needed and got me set up in their golf theater and fit me for some Ping i20 irons. The staff is very knowledgeable and spent the time needed to get the perfect clubs for my game. I will definitely be coming back to Pro Golf Discount for all my golf equipment needs. read more

I won a gift card here as a door prize at a golf tournament and went in to select a new golf bag. I was in there for 20 minutes checking out the bags and nobody said a word to me. There were three guys behind the counter watching the Ryder's Cup. By the time I selected a bag (at a price more than the gift card), all three guys had wandered off. One was actually helping somebody else at that point in another part of the store. I waiting at the counter for 10 minutes before leaving without making a purchase. I'm going to give the gift card away to a friend of mine who can hopefully use it for small things without spending more than the face value of the card to avoid giving this place any more business. I can't think of another business of any type where I have experienced such bad service in the last, I don't know, decade. They have spurred me to sign up for Yelp. read more

I've had good service in the past from Doug, Stuart, and Steve but this time had to experience Jeff Johnson. Was looking to purchase a wedge and Jeff stated he wouldn't honor the additional savings the store was offering because the club was already on sale. Confirmed with the manager, Todd, that I qualified but gave no response to rectifying. I kept the club but when recently purchasing my new iron set, I went down the street to Peutz Golf and purchased. Had better service, better selection, and the swing bays are improved from PGD's narrow and elevated tee/pads. read more

Called store and spoke with Jeff as I needed new clubs before heading to Suncadia the next day. He held my requested clubs which were on sale and when I arrived he personally fitted me for the clubs and gave me excellent advise. Offered to adjust the clubs further after I had played with them, and he was professional and friendly the entire time he helped me.
