There's nothing like leaving your phone for 5 minutes and having someone snatch it up... only to turn it in the next day with a shattered screen. What? I called iFone Repair Service, explained the damage, and made a same day appointment. I ended up stuck in traffic on the 101 thanks to a broken down van (there's always something, isn't there?), so I called and said I would be late. My iPhone was crushed by my car tire. I made an appointment with iFone repair thorough their website, which was a smooth process. I received a couple of confirmation emails and a reminder email about 3 hrs before my appointment. As I was walking from my car to the store they called me but alas I couldn't answer. There was no technician for my 6pm appointment, could I come back at 7:30? I decided to leave the phone and pick it up at 8. Apart from the scheduling snafu, I am satisfied.The screen was replaced and he even fixed my finicky home button for a cost of $89. They were out of the back piece ($15), so I'll be returning to have that fixed and also the camera. I could probably fix it myself, but without my iPhone I am totally lost. Went in to get my iPhone 6 repaired because the screen was completely dead. I called on a Friday and ask for a price quote and he quoted me 119 including labor and screen repair and I thought that was a great deal. I arrived promptly like he said and waited patiently to be served. He did a great job repairing the phone and made sure that it worked and everything except.... The problem is that my front camera screen is horrible. Very fuzzy and definitely not an OEM part that should be used for iPhones. Sadly I didn't realize until i tried taking selfie with my wife and it was terrible. When I compared it to my friends iPhone 6 which had a true OEM screen you could see the different in the front cameras size and quality . But wait there is more! When he went to ring me up he charged me 135 dollars and he quoted me 119 with labor and tax. I was so desperate to get my phone fixed after apple gave me an excuse I just paid the 135 and left. BUT BEWARE LCD screen is low quality and make sure you pay attention to his price quote... My iPhone's screen cracked, and it seemed also like the glass wasn't seated properly in the phone's body. My AppleCare had expired and Apple wanted a whole lot of money to replace the screen, so I went local! iFone Repair Service made it easy: I set up an appointment, they replaced the screen and discovered that a swelling battery was pushing the glass out, so they replaced that at cost since the phone was open anyway. They even threw in a screen protector and phone case. This made the repair a very good value. The quality of the glass and of the repair work is great. The guy who works here seemed nice but they did such a crappy job repairing my screen. Two days after I got it back I dropped the phone (in an otter box case) from my couch to the carpeted rug, which was maybe a 2 foot drop onto a soft surface and the screen cracked immediately. Shortly afterwards the crack started webbing. Today (about 2 weeks later) there's a new crack and I didn't even drop the phone. The guy clearly replaced the screen with a cheap shitty alternative that probably cost him $5 and it DEFINITELY shows. In addition, the touch screen doesn't work the way it used to. Save your money and go elsewhere. Total ripoff. I'm in shock at how many positive reviews there are honestly. read more
