Today my iPhone 14pro max screen went all green, I checked all over Yelp to find a good iPhone repair shop. Pro iPhone repair had almost 1k reviews and great feedback. I decided to give them a shot. My local repair shop wanted 250$ to change the screen. Honestly doesn't even make sense you can just put a down payment for a new phone for that money. I made an appointment to get my phone repaired. When I showed up Jack the owner was very helpful and nice. He was the first iPhone repair shop to offer 3 different iPhone screens. Prices might vary with models but for the iPhone 14 Pro Max his options were 350$ for original oem screen, 180$ for the mid tier aftermarket one and 120$ for the cheap aftermarket screen. Definitely wish I got the original screen but no way I could drop 350 on a screen when I can go get a new phone for that price. I went with the mid tier option for 180$. Probably the best affordable option but it does have it drawbacks. For one the aftermarket screen is really bad in low light like using the camera or FaceTime, honestly it's reallly bad in low light the screen is very blocky and blurry. In the day time you can't notice it. 2nd thing the screen is definitely not the same resolution as the the original one. Going thru pictures and videos I've taken before you can clearly tell the resolution is a bit lower. 3rd thing is that under the sun the screen will black out every other moment. I don't understand why, it's completely fine inside or at night but if you're under the sun the screen will black out often. Honestly can't complain for the price everything works but I really wish the oem original one didn't cost that much. To end it up if you have the money to spend get the oem original screen the aftermarket one is not worth it makes your premium iPhone feel cheap. None of this is jacks (the owner) fault, he was actually the first iPhone repair shop I've seen that works on your phone infront of you. He even showed me his microscopic screw drivers for the iPhone. He literally fixed my iPhone in 10 minutes. Salute for pro iPhone repairs to offer different screen options for different budgets. I will definitely come back and recommend all my friends. I'm happy I made the trip to Glendale to get my phone fixed. iFone fixed it again. iPhones seem to have a recurrent problem in which the charging port goes bad and no amount of wiggling or fiddling with the power cord will allow the phone to charge.
