A friend and I met here for a pedicure. Neither one of us had been here before, and we picked this spot purely out of location as it was about an equal distance between both of our houses. It had been many years that I had gone to an actual spa for a pedicure and not one of those quick little walk in places that does an OK job. And when I first walked in, I was pleasantly surprised at the ambience of the spa. There was a little bit of soft music going, and presumably a candle burning, because it just smelled wonderful in there. I checked in and then was directed to go have a seat in the waiting area. The waiting area was actually a husband's waiting room, complete with a bar. Lol I met up with my friend there and we had a minute to chat before we were called back for our service. We were each seated at our own pedicure station and asked what we would like to drink. They do have complementary Mamosa's, but I am unable to drink orange juice, so I just got a glass of champagne. We sat with our feet soaking in catching up for about 5 to 10 minutes. I absolutely loved that part of the service as the places I typically go to immediately start working on your feet. This was great that our feet were able to soak and we were getting a chance to relax and get settled in. The entire experience was very relaxing and enjoyable. The young woman who was doing my pedicure took her time on painting my nails, and they still look great a week later. My friend and I have already agreed that we are definitely coming back again to get facials and pedicures. read more

I owe a BIG Thank You to all of you at Serendipity! My daughter was on Linden Homecoming court and the day before the parade and football halftime event she had no one to style her hair. I frantically called salons in Linden & Fenton. Everyone was booked. A salon suggested Serendipity which I thought was only a spa for massages. I called and explained our situation and That we had hour and 15 minutes to make her beautiful. The gal on the phone said come in we will take care of you!! The stylist Melanie was awesome and talented. I highly recommend her! Not only did her hair look beautiful they gave her time and space upstairs to get dressed and make up. The staff was so calm and pleasant and made it really fun! Even served the adults wine. I can't thank you enough and we will be coming again for sure. See at prom!! read more

I came here recently for a much needed massage, and it was wonderful. To the right, inside the front door there is a wine bar - I've never seen this at a spa, but what a great idea! I saw a few of their offerings that included some kind of drink pairing. The bar side / drink inclusion would be really fun for a group outing or special event. Upon checking in I was offered a complimentary cookie. I accepted, of course. I never turn down a free cookie, and this was a nice surprise. I waited for my masseuse in a side waiting room and eventually was led upstairs to my tidy, inviting massage room. The room was spacious, warm, and had low lighting - just the way it should be. This was a good massage. Some areas of the bod could have been worked more, but overall I enjoyed it. At the beginning she used some kind of aromatherapy, she seemed to know what she was doing, and there were several nice touches throughout including hot towels and an eye mask. I did the "Mini Escape" package, as a first time visitor. What a beautiful place! The package included a pedicure, manicure and 30 min. massage (wished it was longer!). From the moment I stepped in the door, I knew I found a great place. Julie, Kate and Megan were very nice and professional. The services were excellent and relaxing. The decor is warm and inviting. The building is spacious and open. The prices are well worth the drive from Ann Arbor. I didn't get to try the wine at the Wine Cafe (yes, inside the Day Spa) but maybe next visit! read more

It was ok I guess. My wife and I got the 90 minute relaxation massage and they spent an hour on literally the middle of our backs, then the last thirty every where else lol. I mean it's a massage so I can't say it wasnt good right? If you want a real massage, go to any resort in cancun, best massages ever! Went with my daughter for pedicures. Wanted to treat her to a luxurious pedicure. At least I thought it would be luxurious. The pedicures we chose each stated leg & foot massage. My daughter received a foot massage only. I did not receive either. We laughed that our service was $122.00 before a tip, and did not even receive the full treatment. We have gotten pedicures at Walmart for a total $50.00 for both and the actual pedicure was better. Serendipity does have a nice atmosphere and the technicians are very friendly (maybe just not enough experience). For the price, what we received, was definitely not worth it! Glad we checked it out, but would not recommend. If atmosphere is what you are looking for then give it a try. If quality and receiving what is described in the brochure look elsewhere. I will say we were the last appointment before closing so maybe the details were skipped. Our email asked us to arrive 10 minutes prior to appointment. We did and were just sent back to sit in a room and wait. We did fill out a small questionnaire. When the tech came to get us (4 minutes after our appointment time) she was surprised we were never offered to pick out our polish. So now our appointment time was being used doing this. I absolutely love this place! Jordan gives the BEST pedicures! I'm super picky with my pedicures, and I love that they use the callus eliminator. It makes my feet SO SOFT! Oh man, I love this place so much!! The second you walk in, there's a cookie waiting for you (BONUS!), followed by the most attentive service you'll find anywhere. I got the Bunny Pedicure which was sooooo luxurious. It included a glass of wine and some yummy smelling foot bath and scrub treatments...Heavenly! I love Serendipity pedicures. The environment is usually calming and posh. But then again, for a $70 (after tip) pedicure, I expect it to be! The massage chairs are very nice. I wish the employees would spray clean the headrests after each client, however. I have never seen this done. But I'm more of a dirt-aphobe than most people, so maybe others are not bothered by resting their head where dozens of other greasy heads have been. I like having music playing in the background, but on this visit, there was more country music, which I despise, so that definitely affected my experience. I totally understand that you can't please all people all the time, particularly with something like music, but maybe generic "spa" type music would be better? While I didn't have a glass of wine THIS time, I LOVE that it is offered. Mimosas are my favorite. As an aside, I went on my birthday. It would have been fun to receive a complimentary mimosa to help me celebrate. Normally, my Serendipity pedicures last nearly a month, but this particular pedicure receded from the tip of the toenails after ONE day. I don't think my tech must have covered the tip well enough. It will require that I do a polish change soon. For the record, that is unusual here. I also like how friendly the staff is. In fact, on this particular day, the main road that they are on was blocked off for a local event. I received a phone call just prior to my appointment to alert me of that fact. It was nice to know ahead of time so I could change my route and parking plan. One more thing to mention that I like is that you can tip off of a gift card. Frequently, I just don't have cash on hand. When I pay with a gift card, I can simply take it off there- so easy! Thanks, Serendipity; I will continue to recommend you! :) read more

Never buy a gift paper certificate. If it is plastic apparently your ok. I understand that you get a year but for those of us who work 6 days week its not always easy to get. I understand not being open on Sunday, its my only day off after all. But is it to much to ask for a 1 day forgiveness when the last day of validation on your certificate lands on a Sunday (the day our closed). It is not impossible to make exceptions. My wife has gone in for herself and our kids since we moved to the area a few years ago. They have always had a pleasant experience with them. This being my first, will probably be our last. Its a waste of $70. I understand I hold blame here too but the complete lack of willingness to move even a day is unusual. I hope that they reconsider their business practices in the future. read more
