Elliot Miller is a complete SCAM artist. He literally sends his contracts to residents that aren't customers trying to get them to sign thinking they are signing with their existing snow plowing service. His hope is to scam senior citizens and then hold them accountable for a signed contract without realizing the bait and switch. There is no doubt this is an illegal business practice. Stay away from this business. The owner is insane and so unprofessional. Last winter, I called because the plows didn't come out after 3 inches of snow and he ended up yelling at and berating me. Then he said I couldn't write a review of his business or I would owe him $1000. This guy is a kook. I just got the letter in the picture today. Can you believe this? This "business" showed up, plowed less than half our driveway, and while doing so, ripped up our grass as they haphazardly pushed the snow into our landscaping and drove over our lawn. We've got a great huge hole in our lawn thanks to it. Then, they billed us for 2 full plows, of which they completed maybe a half a plow. This clown thinks he's slick allegedly sends out his $100 an hour drivers at 2am on Saturday when snow hits 3" and then around again when it hits another 3" so on a Sunday morning you pay for 2 plows when its still snowing even though his policy says he will come around once before work and once when it stops he manages to try and bill you for 3 plows. On top of that he will add a fee for the depth of the snow even though since he plowed 3 times he's never plowing more than 3 inches. But he only does this if you are pay by the plow. If you pay seasonal, you are lucky to see him until the last flake drops. He puts up markers so he knows where to plow but doesn't use them. He has never came within 10 feet of the back of the marker but once and he plowed the 2 front markers across my lawn into the trees and has buried a fire hydrant all winter. I wrote him a lengthy letter addressing my concerns but he ignored them and demanded payment for items I disputed quoting he doesn't control snow God does and he pays his drivers $100 an hour so they cannot call or leave bills as they come and some other nonsense about disability lawsuits and fixed income. But all the information he provided I sent copies of his letter to SSDI suggesting they collect his illegal fixed disability payments, IDES for unreported payroll to drivers or workers compensation insurance on subcontractors. His business is a walking liability which is why he has a history of opening and closing when he gets sued for his negligence. If you see the name Miller. Stay far away. He watches the weather and if anywhere within 50 miles someone got 3" of snow you will get a bill about a week later. He preys on the elderly and the disabled. read more

We have been snow serviced by Pro Plowing for 15 YEARS. I have found that Pro Plowing is Excellent and Timely removing Snow.

My father passed away and we sold his house. I called Elliot Miller to let him know that we longer need to use the service for his house. Little did I know that calling to cancel his service is "not binding". Now he tells me that since I didn't write to them to cancel, I am now responsible for all the plows they did for the new owner then hanged up on me. Please DO NOT use his service. read more

Pro Plowing, I believe, uses many drivers, so the service is possibly not consistent. We hired Pro Plowing last year and were satisfied. Before the first snow, a driver came to set stakes to mark the drive, where before, we had to do this. We found that he kept our drive clear enough to use, consistently, without unnecessary extra plows and expense. The driver did manage to demolish the markers in short order and take a wedge out of a arborvitae, which now looks looks like it had a poodle trim. Not happy about that. Yes, in the past, his service was not great, but more recently, I believe it is adequate and fairly priced. I plan to rehire him this season. read more

If I could give Pro Plowing negative stars I would. Owner Elliot Miller is unprofessional and rude. He hung up on me after I called to inquire where the plow was after receiving 4 inches of snow. He made no attempt to figure out when my plow would be here, rather spoke in a condescending tone about the weather and conditions for plowing. I've never been treated so poorly by a business owner and will happily take my business elsewhere for further snow removal. As another yelp review states, I should have done more research on Pro Plowing. Had I done that, I never would have used them. This is about the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. These guys sent a plow at 9pm on Thursday night and then again at 4am on Friday morning. So we were one of the last stops on Thursday and one of the first on Friday. Meanwhile I was already home by 9pm Thursday and by the time I left my house on Friday morning there was several inches of snow on my driveway. So these guys wanted to charge me for two plows and I still had to shovel my entire driveway. I called Elliott and he can't have been ruder. He wouldn't let me get a word in, kept talking over me, and hung up on me. I couldn't imagine talking to my clients like that in a million years no matter what the circumstance was. I wish that I had checked social media and especially yelp regarding pro plowing, Inc. Or even a quick Google search would have showed me what type of person Elliott Miller is. We hired them and they did a horrible job. They only plowed half our driveway and half the snow off the ground. They charged us for plows that never happened. He adds a blizzard fee when there clearly was not a blizzard or measurable snow. He breaks the law and puts snow where it doesn't belong in a public street. Because he left snow and slush without plowing my entire driveway, it turned into a thick sheet of ice. So dangerous and he doesn't care. He only cares about the money and does not care about the job he does. He makes threats to people has been taken to court many times. He tries to infringe on people's freedom of speech by saying in his contact you cannot leave him a review on yelp and if so you have to pay HIM 1k! Laughable and illegal! This guy is a crook! I just "googled" him and he has law suits against him. He has many company names he uses. My father contracted him and they plowed last Wednesday after the big snow. Rather than pushing the snow out of the way, he plowed the snow in front of his garage. When my father called, he said "Are you sure it isn't a snow drift?" My father said he knew the difference. He said he would get someone out. My father called on Thursday again and still no one came out. My father called someone else on Friday to plow him out. Someone from Pro Plowing showed up SUNDAY and started plowing! Of course this guy didn't know anything. My father told him that he had fired Pro Plowing. I have used Pro Plowing for several years. They have always been most reliable and never have I ever had a problem. I am an elderly woman and I live alone so when it snows I would not have the ability to clean it myself. Elliot, the owner knows this and has always made sure my driveway is impeccably clean. ok, so i had a one star rating before on this company. i got a letter from Elliott, the owner and we discussed the prospects of the drivers giving me a call before they get here so i can remove the cars from the driveway and get the actual entire driveway plowed. he conceded, sort of, to give it a go. you see, i'm retired and have my cell phone near me all of the time, so it makes no difference when they call, i will get it done. my wife is handicapped and trudging thru snow is extremely difficult for her and t his is why we contracted for his service. more reviews to come after we see what the new season brings. read more

We've had Pro Plowing plow our driveway for years now and have had very good service. We've only had to call once during a big storm to inquire about why our driveway had not been plowed yet. They were very apologetic and got the plow to our house within an hour. We've been treated fairly over the years. In terms of pricing, they seem to be right in the middle of what area plowers charge. BEWARE! Bad accounting and horrible service go hand in hand. I sent a check in full up front for service last year. Mr. Miller lost the check and kept sending me bills "per plow". I was billed for plows that never occurred. Because his service failed to show for 24 hours after two of our big snows, I was forced to use my old snowblower. THEY BILLED ME FOR PLOWS THAT I PERFORMED, and surcharged me for the extra heavy snows. Despite multiple phone calls and letters from me, he continued to send me bills. At the end of the season I got a threatening letter from his attorney, which appeared to be his buddy, that he was going to sue me for $300.00. He can't keep track of his accounting, when it snows, he is non-responsive and rude. When I finally got him on the phone he told me I sounded like a 'young naive girl' and that he lived in a million dollar house, so I needed to quit complaining. Sexist? Obviously he received a letter from my counsel, which cost me more for the attorney's time than his yearly plow service. WATCH OUT!! read more

RIPS OFF HIS DRIVERS. Elliot instructed me to check the other half of the route, which took 15 minutes of my time plus fuel cost, and then refused to pay me for it. He calls his drivers to get status as to when they will be done plowing. If you tell him 15 minutes more, your time ends when he hangs up the phone. YOU JUST GOT RIPPED FOR MINUTES. So if he does this to every driver he has that is a LARGE CHUNK of CHANGE in HIS POCKET !! Elliot, you can now jump into your own car and check the routes YOURSELF at YOUR EXPENSE. read more

This small "family owned " business is a sham. The service is poor and the owner is unresonable. His wife, the customer service representative, always cries how hard her son works and that he did his best, which is not what I contracted for. I expected the snow to be removed from my entire driveway and that does not happen. I usually have to go out and "finish" the job myself which begs the question: What am I paying this company for anyway? It is incrdible that the bill arrives the NEXT morning, once even before the driveway had been plowed from the night before! The latest bill reflected a second plowing, thus a second charge, which did NOT happen. I invoked the cancellation clause of my contract only half way through the season. PRO plowing never quite cut the mustard. The first snowfall, they did about 1/2 of my driveway, leaving a large wall of snow between the street and my garage. The next snowfall, I left my car at work, and it was a good thing. Although the snow started early afternoon, they did not plow my drive until 3:00 am. Both times, I had my kids help me shovel by hand. I will not be using them again next year. read more
