"Community engagement" is exactly what Yelp is preventing. A business owner, regardless of how honest and open will always be perceived as biased by most readers. There will always be Patrons and "non-patrons" that make unfounded accusations and falsely trash businesses for reasons other than to provide an accurate review. Unbiased 3rd party readers (i.e. community) should be able to respond to reviews (i.e. engagement). Helpful, funny and cool are inadequate responses. SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than all other oil changes I have had. Jiffy Lube and Valvoline each wanted between $85-$90 and the guys at Pro Tech were only $50 AND they told me the synthetic oil would last up to 5,000 miles rather than the 3,000 the other places told me. I know oil will last up to 5k miles so I always laugh when an establishment says 3k. Definitely recommend these guys. read more

I kid you not Joe knows his stuff. I took my scion in because I was hearing a loud swirling noise coming out of my Scion xB, I was worried it might be the transmission. I took it to Pro Techs because I've talked to the owner Jose a few times and he's pretty legit, honest, helpful and very nice. The guy knows his cars. He told me and my husband if he had to put money on it, that it was the alternator, plus I needed my transmission serviced (transmission was fine, it just needed an oil change), we went before they closed and Joe said if we left it they would diagnose it first thing in morning but I couldn't leave my car overnight cause I had to go to work but later that night the car died and sure enough Joe was right, it was alternator. He gave a pretty decent prices on the alternator and the transmission service which was much needed. This is an establishment you can trust. They specialize in Toyota, Scion, Honda etc and he told me they work on dodge etc I totally recommend this shop to friends and family. I will be coming back when I need any work done on my car. You know those garages that advertise oil change for $19.99? Fuhgeddabowdit. That's a come-in price. They're gonna add on oil disposal fee, extra quart fee, this and that fee, then they're gonna try to sell you something else that you don't need. And that's IF they will bother to even take your car when you have the time to bring it in. How do I know? Because I just tried a bunch of them before going to Pro-Techs. Joe at Pro-Techs took me in right away, put somebody right on it and I was in and out in short time. They don't do an oil change for $20. I have a Lexus 450 Hybrid that requires a specific type of oil for the oil/filter change. If I go to the dealer, the cost is close to $140. In checking around, found the cost at various operators to be about $100. Then, I found Joe at Pro Techs. Dropped it off as they were closing on friday since it was heating up. He did the diagnostic saturday morning and gave me a call about the diagnostic and told me some good news that I wouldn't need to get all of the work done that I asked quotes for. Very honest guy. He did the work and was nice enough to wait 45 minutes after they close for me to pick up my car. Although he could have called me earlier letting me know when my car would be ready and he wouldn't have needed to wait lol. I think we look for one thing with auto mechanics and that is honesty. I found much more with Pro Tech. These guys are flexible and exhibit integrity on all levels. My truck started suddenly stalling out and the check engine light came on. It happened just before I saw there shop at 530 (close at 6). They ran the computer, found the issue and repaired it at no cost. They only charged for the computer check. I highly recommend these guys if you need a mechanic.
