First of all, expect upselling attempts, MANY. Second, after many times of paying an EXPENSIVE price for full synthetic oil which needs to be changed at the earliest 5k miles, I realized they were writing the mileage on the sticker to come back at 3k! ... The worker admitted to do that un purpose because they want you to come back at 3k miles so they can check your car "in case you have a leak" .... mind you, they wont tell you you still have mileage to go, and you are good, NOPE, they will automatically just do an oil change. My husband had to ask them to actually write the return mileage on the sticker at 5k NOT at 3k .... BE AWARE, specially if you are a female (dont be fool by the fact that they have a female worker) THEY WILL SCAM YOU. I hadn't been to this location in some time, as I've been going to another place for oil changes through a maintenance package. However this past Sunday, my car needed an oil change and I was going to be in the area, so I decided to stop in. When I drove in, it was completely empty which was nice, as I was seen right away. Service was very quick and friendly as in the past. My newer car does require a higher quality oil, and it is definitely pricier here than the previous place I'd been going to. But Valvoline is great because they're usually pretty fast and you don't have to leave your car. read more

The environment here is phenomenal: open communication between the entire team, everyone is upbeat and friendly, clean workspace, and there's three lanes so it always flows smooth even when it's busy. Called around, this place answered said it was 88 for full synthetic blend oil change. Pull up, signs say 15 minute drive thru oil change.... I waited over an hour and some change. I watched 2 episodes of seinfeld and 20 mins of instagram doom scrolling waiting for some context. Finally get up to the front, dude scans me in, says its over 120$ for full synthetic, says the calls go to east coast and not sure why they said that. So now im paying more than what i anticipated financially and with my time. Worst experience ever, would not recommend. I've been coming to this location for almost 4 years because it's close to my house and usually convenient, but today was honestly one of the most ridiculous customer service experiences I've had in a long time. You guys plaster "15 MINUTE DRIVE-THRU OIL CHANGE" literally everywhere, so naturally people expect something fast. Not EXACTLY 15 minutes every single time, but at least somewhere in the ballpark. I've now been sitting here for OVER AN HOUR AND TEN MINUTES, and the BMW in front of me alone took basically a full hour. At that point this is not an "instant oil change" place anymore. This is just a regular repair shop with a fake fast-food style sign on the building. I asked the manager straight up: "Why are you guys taking cars that obviously take forever if your whole business is supposed to be quick oil changes?" His answer was apparently corporate tells them to accept every vehicle. Okay... then stop advertising this place like it's some quick in-and-out 15 minute service. You can't have it both ways. And honestly, if you drive a damn BMW that needs complicated service, GO TO THE BMW DEALERSHIP. Don't come hold up an entire line of people who are just trying to get a basic oil change done on a Saturday. Everybody behind that car got screwed because one vehicle took forever. The employees looked miserable, the customers were pissed off, and the entire line was basically stuck hostage because of one car. Then they try to calm me down with discounts and coupons. Bro, I don't care about saving a few dollars at that point. My entire Saturday afternoon is gone. I'm sitting in my car irritated as hell watching the clock move while your giant "15 MINUTE SERVICE" signs are hanging over the bays like a joke. The worst part is I USED to like this place. That's why I kept coming back for years. But today honestly made me start looking up other oil change shops while sitting in line. If your system can't handle certain vehicles quickly, then either make a separate lane, put up honest wait times, or stop pretending this is an "instant" service center. Richard helped me out and was incredibly kind and patient throughout the entire transaction. I don't know much about cars, so I really appreciated the time Richard took to explain the services Henry needed, especially since a few were overdue. There was also a woman on staff whose name I didn't catch, but she kindly pointed out that one of my lug nuts was missing, something I definitely wouldn't have noticed on my own! The team checked my tires and found a nail in my back tire. They sent me to a local tire shop that also uses Valvoline! Jonathan, Darren, Devin and Brian took care of an oil change on Sunday at the Harbor location in Fullerton and it's always a good experience there. Good teamwork, communication, speed of service, overall value and facility cleanliness. They make sensible recommendations as my car ages and I understand it needs more as we go. There's usually a good coupon available online so that's helpful but a suggestion would be to add a savings if services are bundled, to encourage people while they're already there. when they fill your oil then they have you start the car! then they check the oil level. well, it will always read low because at least 1/2 qt is in the engine block. I argued that point with them and they ignored me. the next am I checked the oil it was low just as I thought, on a Honda the are not exactly 5qts so being low is critical I called corporate about this issue they gave me a free oil change will I go through this again? part 2 coming soon! read more

Look at my pix. They changed it with FULL SYNTHETIC oil at 43,365 miles 2 weeks ago and they put this sticker on my window. It says I need to get another oil change in 3,000 miles. Is it right? I asked my friend who is a professional mechanic and he says it should be 5,000 or up to 10,000 miles if it's changed with Full Synthetic oil. Valvoline is too greedy to make money. Came to this location at 9:45/9:55 AM on December 17, 2024. I parked my car in the middle lane. Technician told me to move it to the furthest right lane which i could have been next if i stayed in the middle lane. Therefore, I waited almost an hour. I asked the technician how much longer and why he moved me lanes when I should have just stayed in the middle lane. I understand they do other services here such as tire rotation, window wipers etc. but the vehicle I was behind had 2-4 different technicians trying to change a rear light bulb.. Where did you find these technicians? If there was an option to not put any stars I would. Horrible experience at this location. Attitude was given by an employee after I shared my concerns. I was at this FULLERTON location on Friday Jan 24th, the staff guided me to bay 1 where there was a construction vehicle ahead of me- a female employee approached me asked if she could open door to scan, she asked a few questions- not very friendly at all- after checking lights and all she asked to me to wait they would assist me shortly. I noticed a few male employees standing around. I waited more than 30 minutes before I noticed a truck pull up to second bay and employees went over to assist- I must note there was also another vehicle already in that bay but seemed to finish. Employees directed the truck next to me up into the bay! They popped his hood and began to assist him while I still waited in bay one- so I backed up and left! Never again will I visit the FULLERTON location! 2 hours later as I was heading back home I passed by there as it's my route to my home and I was at the stop signal I noticed 3 of the employees looking at the vehicles stopped at the light but basically playing around- there was vehicles in their bays they should've been paying attention to.
