I usually get my haircut in the city (SF) after work, but I needed a haircut ASAP and did not want to drive or BART to get a haircut. So I yelped some haircut places nearby and this place was close, cheap and had good reviews. I stopped by without making an appointing despite what people said in their review. When I arrived, there were 3 people ahead of me (two little boys and a man), but it went pretty quick. The barber/hairstylist was very nice and patient with the kids even though they were crying and squirming. It is very hard to get my haircut the way I like. I usually ask for a number 2 on the side and my top cleaned up and long enough to stick up. I can ask the same person to cut it the same way 3 times, and it can turn out different every time. Luckily this time turned out almost exactly how I wanted it! It was quick and cheap. I would give ProCuts a 5, but the side of my head was cut a little sloppy/uneven. With the steady increase of customers, it is highly recommended to call her as soon as she opens to reserve a time later in the day. I've been searching for a place on the Peninsula to get a haircut and came across ProCuts. So I decided to give it a try based on the previous reviews. However, when I approached the door they were closed. I checked to see if maybe they close on Wednesday. Nope, it says 10 - 6. So I peer through the window and noticed the open sign is turned off and the shop is dead. I gave them one more try 2 weeks ago on a Saturday and they were open this time. There were two people ahead of me and I was told a 20 minute wait which was pretty accurate. When it was my turn she did a good job and I was extremely happy with the haircut. Going back for another haircut and hoping for the same results this week. read more

The lady is fast. I wish she had more finesse instead of relying so heavily on the clippers but she can get you out the door in roughly 10 minutes for $10 a cut (not including tip). I could definitely get a much better cut in SF for the same price but this place is much closer to where I live. Doesn't talk much which I prefer because I'm only there for a haircut and not a therapy session. I've been coming to her for about 2 years now and recently, she's been rude to quite a few customers that walk through the door including myself. About 6 months ago, I use to drop in and she started getting busy and told me to make an appointment from now on which I did every month. I made an appointment today as usual and when I showed up, she said "sorry no time today" I told her I made an appointment for right now and she said "I think you called the wrong number" and then looked away. Baffled by the response, I went into detail about the appointment over the phone (which was literally made an hour before) about how she said she was busy and I asked when is it the most convenient for her and I showed up on the time she suggested! She then told me "well it's going to be really late then. go hang around the street or something" and proceeded about her business expecting me to leave.. I felt extremely offended as I was such a loyal customer. Seeing others treated that way in prior visits, I thought they must've done something that offended her or were difficult but I got the same haircut for 2 years every month. I believe it's just poor management with her clients as well as overbooking. She tends to get stressed and overwhelmed when there is no room left for customers to wait so she rushes through each person. Every time I call, she never asks for a name or a number and she works alone with no assistants. I came back in after half an hour and she apologized saying she must've gave me the wrong time and to have a seat. I finally got my haircut after an hour and a half of waiting and she rushed through it in 7 minutes as there were others after me as well and it was already passed closing time. read more

Based on the other reviews on Yelp, I decided to stop by for a quick haircut before going to the market. While I do have to say that street parking might be a drag, it is only 25 cents per 15 minutes, which is a lot cheaper than San Francisco. Yup, this is my go-to place for a hair cut. I've gone here twice and each time, it's been JUST how I wanted it. For 10 dollars and I tip 3 dollars, I think this place is a great place to go to if you just need a simple hair cut. Worst haircut I've ever had. ZERO effort put into a bald taper resulting in an uneven taper and patches of hair missed. She asked if I wanted a line up, I said yes, and she didn't even line me up!!! I just had a pretty awesome haircut experience with Lisa. She had 2 people ahead of me but the wait wasn't long. She is fast and efficient and knows how to cut hair properly. She is a veteran at this art and will cut your hair the way you explain it to her. She has an eye for what will look good and will give you a recommendation which she did for me and it turned out perfect. One of the more better hair cuts I've had in a long while. Nothing PRO about this place. This place SUCKS! I've gone here 2 Sundays in a row because nothing is open after 5 or not open at all. NEVER EVER AGAIN. It could just be that both times I have gone it was a lady named Lisa, but I'm sure there are other barbers/stylists from the looks of it. It's a great place if you want to get a basic haircut. Chances you will be disappointed are little. Lisa is really good at handling thick asian hairs like mine. Your hairs will not stick out in random places after her haircut. She is also very nice person, may be a bit cold at first, but if you visit her again she will remember and comfort you with a smile. Parking and wait are things to consider and plan prior your visit. Appointments can be made ahead, but you will interrupt her services by calling ahead, since she is the only person in the store. Best haircut my brother has ever had- and least expensive!! A+ place! If you don't care that there is some hair on the ground (I mean who cares!) her skill will leave you pleasantly surprised! My brother has very fluffy, dandruffy curly Latino hair and we were skeptical when we came... however, we showed her a picture and she washed his hair and got the cut done perfectly! And to top it off, we asked her and she lined up and trimmed his sideburns for no extra charge!! $16 for all that, and she was so smiley the whole time. Truly enjoyed our time there, which was so short too!! Arrived on Sunday at 5:05 pm, she had 2 people in front of us. I've always had mixed results with haircuts, never really knew what to ask for. Walked in and there was about a 10 min wait. The barber working was Mr. B, friendly guy. I showed him a few pictures of what I wanted and he did a great job. He didn't rush, and I let him use his best judgment about what to do and I've very happy with the result.
